the thing about reading wlw historical romance is the men in it are always so over the top evil but also they were just kinda like that weren’t they
#in the case of the last book i read it was also the mom but moms are also just like that. in my experience. ahdhdjskwk#ANYWAY. all these books have me thinking about cori’s place as a non binary person in a society like ishgard#i tend to take the approach of its fantasy and therefore it’s perfectly ‘normal’ to be non binary#(you know what i mean)#but like. marrying into an important family by way of their son when you are neither a lord nor a lady…#cori might have feelings about that having been raised in a place that didn’t even distinguish between genders until they were older!#at least i think that’s viera lore#and ishgardian society might also have feelings on that#but perhaps i should not ascribe homophobia and transphobia to ishgard ahdhdjsk#i need a text post tag
