A/N: I don't read Cinnamonest's fanfics, but I was greatly inspired by her Yandere Profile template, even taking many of the NON-NSFW questions. It's my first time doing an Yandere Profile, sorry if any errors.

You're a new person at Natlan, you came from another region or mayhaps another world like the traveler. You were walking past some trees and then you hear someone arguing in one of the trees and you found a light tan boy with black hair and yellow-green eyes, which by what that strange saurian he is arguing with he is called Kinich.

To catch his attention to he become obsessed with you I believe you should have any ties with Natlan by ancestors or something to do with khaenri'ah that you have anything to do with the Night Kingdom. You have to be really "outside the box", something he never saw.

After that you started having talks with Kinich and that strange saurian, which you discovered that it's name is Ajaw.

He started liking you and was genuinely interested in your ties, he starts being pretty much of a helper to you in this new region you arrive as I believe he is much of acts of service than any other. He is always there to help you in any case.

He doens't how to act sweet so he tries to help you by acts of service.

When you get badly injuried by any enemy when he says to you stay with him.

He warned you but you didn't listen, you are so naive that you thought you could stay alone in a dangerous region. But maybe you aren't so naive and you're just stupid. I don't know why eould you be at somewhere.

Or maybe if you risk too much for too little. You are just stupid to him, but a stupid where he is obsessed with.

Manipulative, Overprotective, Loneliness Induction and Stalker. He is somewhat more someone who uses his head to anything. It isolates you from possible "threats" by making them stay away from you.

He pretty much knows how to do everything quickly and easily. For him you don't need anyone else. As I already said, he is much more of an acts of service yandere.

Also he wants you to depend on him. Be it by don't making you do anything by yourself or just breaking your legs.

Also he is pretty of a stalker, it's easy to him to hid in any tree and he thinks you're interesting.

He is pretty aware that he developed an obsession and that it is unhealthy, but he is pretty much liking this feeling and Ajaw don't stop bothering him about it.

He at first just wanted your friendship, you're interesting, you're pretty, you're someone kind, etc. He just wanted your friendship, until he wanted more and more about you. And when he realized it was already a little too late.

After a life or death situation he will make you stay at his house and even when you get better he will still keep telling you that it is better for you to stay at his home. You know nothing about the terrain so everything is easy for him.

And he will always lock you in his house.

At first he leaves you tied up, for the few first escapes, after much time and consideration he will take off your chains. Everything will be babyproof, and everything will have to at least have thought about how to make everything inescapable.

After that he will just straight up break your legs.

He is pretty much aware that you will try to trick him or even manipulate him. It's not that easy, but being not too good not too bad he will think you're being normal and not trying to manipulate him.

If you're either too good or too bad he won't be manipulable. If you're too good he will get it as a way of trying to manipulate him. If you're too bad with him he will be punishing you by breaking your legs or isolation.

Silent but aggressive anger. He will just be silent and ignore you, if you continue being a brat he will just smack your head against the wall.

But it's pretty rare his anger and it's not that easy. He's going to have to be in a bad mood and so are you, and you're going to have to be a brat.

Equal, but sometimes beneath. If you got kidnapped definitely he will see you as a stupid because he need to protect you now.

But he sees you as an equal. Not less, not more. He will treat you like a normal person, but he wants you to depend on him.

This made me think of Sauron's equation with that one being who changed the entire course of his life: Morgoth and how much that could've influenced his later outlook on 'relationships'. It was mentioned by Tolkien in one of his letters that what made Sauron less evil initially was his strong sense of loyalty which came from a genuine place. And, for whatever it was worth, Sauron stayed loyal to Melkor for a long time. Whether he was drawn to the latter at first out of admiration, fear or a mere desire to manage things with more autonomy, remaining by Morgoth's side for a prolonged period of time would certainly have had its side effects. His failures - such as losing the Silmarils - would have earned Morgoth's ire for it was a relationship based on control and subjugation.

His words to Galadriel about a 'great, clenched fist releasing its grasp from his neck' after Morgoth's defeat have been interpreted by some as a tactic he employed to sway Galadriel to his side. Yet there also lies a possibility that there was a degree of sincerity in his words. It stands to reason for him to experience genuine relief after he was freed from his master's yoke and,yet, that bond had left its mark on him not unlike how abusive relationships mentally and emotionally impact us long after we're done and over with them.

What makes his deception of Celebrimbor more grave is that Sauron could've had a sincere relationship with him. They shared talents, skills and a mutual desire to fix and beautify ME. Brimby definitely trusted his friend Annatar for quite a while. Yet, Sauron messed it up because he, most likely, wanted to engage with relationships on his terms and he, more or less, borrowed Morgoth's toxic template of domination and servitude coupled with his need to be in control which proved to be ruinous for poor Brimby who defied him later on. This further implies that mayhaps this is the only kind of dynamics that Sauron understands,in most cases, for Melkor drilled it into him and he repeated the cycle. On that note, I'm so looking forward to seeing Annatar and Celebrimbor's scenes because I feel they'll be both heartbreaking and, yet, fascinating.

Galadriel was an exception for I see her as the only one before whom Sauron could be honest, even as he was trying to 'deceive' her. Her passionate spirit was worthy of admiration and she was not above using underhanded means to achieve her goals. Yet, she remained steadfast in her beliefs and was committed towards her purpose which is, by all means, a righteous one. There is enough reason for Sauron to view her as a kindred spirit because, in his perspective, his objective to heal Middle Earth was righteous and, like her, he too had been betrayed and cast away at that moment. He fumbled the bag when he said that saving and ruling is all the same to him but that can very well be interpreted as him being truthful to her instead of telling her what she wanted to here. That could explain his outburst after she rejected him because he had, as good as, laid out his heart bare before her and she turned him away. I wonder whether this anger plays a part in his treatment of Brimby and his actions in the face of the latter's resistance. Maybe he'll have a cynical mindset because he tried to be genuine once and it didn't work so maybe Morgoth's way was the right way, etc.

Galadriel's rejection of him would've certainly been frustrating on many levels because this was probably his only chance of having a relationship with someone on an equal footing which was what he needed. It's something that was never possible with Morgoth and will never be possible with anyone else in future. That could be another reason why he kept chasing her forever. But he made his choices, and she hers. As a result, while she ascended and broke free of what was holding her back, he sank further into the abyss. Reminds me of this little quote again: "The sun that lay on Lothlórien had no power to enlighten the shadow of that distant height."

And, now I have to go get some tissues. This is a colossal tragic mess in the making and I'm going to eat every morsel that's given.

This is such a great post!!! 😀 I agree with everything you said and Sauron really is continuing the cycle of abuse that was done to him. It's going to be hard to watch at times but I'm looking forward to seeing how they do this. This show opened my eyes so much to how tragic Sauron's story is and what he became as he fell and how he started off so high. Then poor Celebrimbor. He is a victim of this and Sauron is going to take out so much on him. And I see the same now too with Haladriel and how they were equals and could've worked if he really had repented and changed. Like you said it's such a tragic mess.

Creature Corner: Undead part 5

 Conclusions

 And so we come to an end to talking about the undead this week. It’s uncanny to think this is the second to last time we’ll have a special of this type on the blog! However, there’s no time to feel sad about that, because now it’s time to give our final thoughts!

As was mentioned at the beginning of this week, undead have long had a history in mythology not just in horror stories, but also in tales of heroic adventures, and throughout history have ranged from stories of the consequences of murder to explanations why people tend to avoid places of death, to stories about why people fear the night, and of course, tales of why people should respect the dead and live good lives.

At the same time, like many creature types, the undead have evolved beyond that to be sympathetic as well, at worst being pitiful beings to be put to rest, but at best painting death as another state of existence, with the undead simply hanging out and enjoying ghostly activities. It all depends on what sort of story you want to tell.

Indeed, that focus on stories means you can probably find an undead for any situation, ranging from tales of hubris to great tragedies to betrayal and confusion and just plain, good ol’ fashion villainy.

Don’t feel like you’re limited to undead humans either. There are a plethora of fantasy ancestries and creatures that might might, for one reason or another, rise as the undead, including some that are unique to the culture of a specific species, such as the iruxi ossature, or the draconic ravener or wyrmwraith.

That latter point is really where templates come in handy, which is relevant because arguably, the undead creature type probably has the largest percentage of templates that change a base creature into an undead being. Need a powerful, but not too powerful minion for an overambitious necromancer? Give them a zombie dragon. An occult energy field wiped out the minds of everyone in a laboratory? Boom, echohusks. Truly templates are quite useful, but some dislike them as a cheap way to power up a familiar monster, and perhaps if your experience with them has been with GMs overusing them or powergamers seeking out lichdom as soon as they reach mid-level, then mayhaps you have a point.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be templates either, you can also homebrew a monster that combines a certain type of undeath with an atypical creature type. Anything from as simple as a banshee with drow spell-like abilities to represent a drow matron that arose as one after falling in love and being betrayed, to an ifrit that succumbed to ghoul fever, and became a strange hybrid of ghoul and ghul.

I suppose the final word is that the undead type is pretty ubiquitous to mythology, folklore, and yes, gaming. As long as the shadow of death weighs on our minds, so will they, whether they represent death itself, or the horror of transcending death but coming back wrong.

Total Wordcount Published: 195,195 words! (Beating last year’s record of 168,291 words! Mayhaps I am insane :’>)

This year I focused on writing longer stories, and managed to publish multiple chaptered fics, including a bite-sized fiction writing exercise. This was the year I got back into Korean dramas after an almost ten-year hiatus, so I was able to delve into different fandoms across several months. I managed to push out a couple of fanfics, most of them multi-chaptered, as a way to honor one of my oldest genre fandoms!

I also took this year to get back into outlining future publications. I have about seventeen stories outlined across multiple fandoms. Between the plague, my ever-increasingly insane career choice, my family, and the thots I call my besties, I once again didn’t expect to get too much writing done this year, but like any other demonic itch, I could not rest until I penned the stories I had sitting in my head. This was the first time in YEARS that I clocked in 20-40k of writing within weeks. I wrote 30k for one story in under a week. I don’t know what power I’ve come into, but I am grateful for it. Hopefully it will continue through 2022, so that I can publish many more stories!

Looking into 2022, I want to continue publishing longer fics, hopefully chaptered fics. I would like to finish the Naruto novel, but I’mma leave that one up to Allah. I would like to continue writing for different fandoms as well, and will likely delve into more Kdrama fandoms, and maybe some manga fandoms as well. I would also like to join some book-exclusive fandoms.

I also want to continue writing more darkfic, and explore even more unique horror tropes found in contemporary horror literature. This year, I wrote an evil ghost falling in love with its human prey, because everyone loves a mansplain/manipulate/manwhore. For some reason, I was compelled by the post-canon itch, and wrote multiple post-canon fics for different pieces of media. Also got a little sappy and wrote a few love stories. Who knows what kind of dastardly things I’ll come up with in 2022.

Actually that could work. If you wanted to, it could correlate with your ‘story events’ by having readers/anons vote on decisions they do within the fic. Because the story line will be less productive and more friendship based, it could be a way to make readers more inthralled into their character and feel more apart of the story. I would make it a ‘every now and then’ type of thing though because otherwise the story lines of your thorough fics won’t progress. still a cool idea.

Also same 😩. I have one frequent dream where I’m roommates with Jeongin, chan and Minho… it’s an unusual dynamic. We’re all college students at the same university. I haven’t see the other members however, Only Han in one of my classes but we’re not friends just sort of know each other’s there but never talk. I’ll grow some balls one day and approach him 🤧. When I wake up I always log my dreams. I even made a little blueprint of the house lol, bit obsessive but it’s odd that I remember it all. Reality shifting maybe lmao. Guess we both have our own little universe. Maybe our universes will cross one day?

My fav dream was when I was in a poor part of Korea mid century futuristic and I had moved in with Jeongins family after they answered my study petition. I had been writing to Jeongin before I flew over so when we met face to face it was a nice calm atmosphere. Their home had thin wall insulation and was dark mostly dingy. The floors of the home was made of grey concrete and rooms only consisted of a kitchen Where would dine as a family at a table that sits around 12 and bathroom with toilet/shower. Sleeping quarters were in another home entirely where myself and his whole family cramped in to sleep on the floor of dirty stained mattresses. I couldn’t understand their dialect but Jeongin would often translate for me when they would gesture for me to do something. I was made a bit of a slave, I cleaned for them, shopped for them. Everyday I would take the younger brother to his rundown school and wander around for a bit with my notebook writing about things going on as I saw it. Anyway the storys too long because I remember about four days worth lmao.

honestly i'm tempted now 🤧😮‍💨 idk about the voting thing though, i'm bad at those. i'm more so thinking about a more slice-of-life anime feel that's just situated in the dorms anthology-ish. kinda like nichijou, gekkan shoujo, or azumanga daioh! just some of my fave slice-of-life school comedies~ it's gonna be like, in one post, it's already one entire story-ish. just similar templates to western TV series' like B99 or Friends. there really won't be any overarching plot arcs, just day-to-day dormitory misfits~ maybe maybe. it's definitely gonna be a one episode a week type of thing bec of the other smaus i will pour my brain juice into.

pLS maybe we already ARE. chan isn't my roommate, hyunjin is, so maybe we're already in the same dormitory, we just don't notice it 🤔🤔 han hogs the bathroom a lot though, it's kinda annoying. haven't seen felix, changbin, and seungmin around so maybe they're up to their own hijinx.

I manage several retail clothing stores that are much like Forever 21, Love Culture, Q, and similar “fast-fashion” stores. In the upper right hand corner of this picture, you can see a credit card payment terminal and the corner of the point of sales monitor. This is where I watch the “line being toed”. Patriarchal tradition displays itself as the boyfriend deftly passes his card to me with a knowing smile. I’ve seen this play many times before, and each time it is performed to a different tune. Feminist resistance inevitably manifests itself in one of several ways. Some laugh uncomfortably and allow the game to become part of the routine. Some vocally insist that they have the ability and the desire to pay. I have had cards snatched from my hand and replaced with another. The “fight for the check” is a social nicety that has become a bit of a routine for some couples. I’ve witnessed every version of this negotiation, but it has been only recently that I’ve truly appreciated its significance.

The truly frightening aspect of hegemony and the way it manifests itself is that it is - by nature - intangible and fluid. We are social beings, and we learn from the environment around us. Thus, it is inevitable that we become socialized to accept certain ideologies and learn to adopt societal norms. The problem occurs when one begins to “toe the line”. There is an awkward negotiation as society’s perception shifts and norms begin to change. Men are taught to “be men” and work from an obsolete template. We take our cues from society and label everything we see in terms of black and white. Where is the line? Mayhaps we shouldst produce a payment plan based on percentage of income? We are bombarded by gender-specific ads from every source of media as society continues to force upon us definitions by which we should live. Gloria Steinem references this in her account of the struggle to produce ad revenue without compromising the integrity of her magazine. Society forces structure and attempts to corral the population into neatly defined boundaries. Feminists cannot reveal themselves for fear that they be judged by those for whom they silently cheer. Roxane Gay’s Ted Talk comes to mind.

Allow me to step away from my usual pedantic prose: Let’s be real. We are who we are, and you can’t tube feed us your ideologies like the suffragettes during the first wave of feminism. Time will turn the tides.
