I’ve finally done it.
I have finally CRACKED the CURSED MASS EFFECT 3D MODEL CODE and have managed to force varying mass effect models through the CSP Modeler. CSPM wasn’t my original goal but after weeks of off and on hair pulling and cursing every duck-tape-and-prayers ass way models are rigged let alone older 3d models and the fact that they do not play nicely with other programs/formats/sideways glances... I’m over the goddamn moon that I did the damn thing.
Highly specific alien references at any angle I wish, GET.
#lethalhoopla shenanigans#... it's actually technically been months but I didn't apply myself the whole time lmao#after attempting to rip models and textures my own goddamn self when the internet failed me again and again........#.... so many 3d model formats and texture rules and changing preferences and paradigms....................#xps v fbx v obj v everygoddamnthingelse#started as a gift for my bro to get him a model-accurate kaidan and spiralled from there when it turned out to be even more time consuming#(and that's saying something it's not like this is my first foray into the Danger Zone that is working in 3d)#gods i'm so PLEASED#it's basic as hell but any artist knows how useful this sorta thing is if you're willing to take the mild time lmao#also i snagged an andromeda-turian model bc they've actually got down to bodysuit proportions (not armor)#AND correct digitigrade legs!!!! which is something probably literally only i care about but shhhhh#i also now have access to them in blender (and xps lol) with textures included buuuut its way simpler in terms of work flow in CSP lmao
