okay listen. i'm writing a narumitsu fic right now and it's set post-aa6 and they need to talk about trucy for the plot. the issue is i am eyeballing this shit completely, i know NOTHING about trucy, i'm a dumb dumb little man and i need a short summary of wright's attitude towards her. all i know is she was his light and he's a good dad who adopted her when her father vanished?? somehow?? and he took her to his job sometimes i think. so yeah, if you have any knowledge on this pls lmk i am trying so hard for this not to suck because it's my first work in english

omg hi!! i recently replayed the last case of aa4 so you chose the perfect time to ask this :)

ahem okay so you pretty much got the basics down: trucy's dad was zak gramarye (a magician) and was being accused of murdering his mentor, but before the judge got to announce a verdict he fucking fled and left 8 y.o. trucy behind :/ her mom was also supposedly dead so she literally had no one. During that same trial phoenix lost his badge and a couple weeks later he decided to take Trucy in and adopt her. So she quite literally was his light, yeah, because the dude was going through the most depressing stage of his life and smiling,bubbly Trucy with her lil magic tricks made the whole thing easier :) (and also helped with earning money by doing tricks in a bar)

I hope that cleared up your struggle with their backstory, and as for their dynamic you gotta know two things: a) they're both weird as hell. everytime you'd play as apollo and got involved in a convo with them, they would say some incomprehensible shit that would make apollo go "??". it's like only the two of them understand each other which is sweet and hilarious

and b) phoenix is emotional and protective of his daughter (as you could possibly guess) so i would also write him using nicknames like "my baby", "honey" etc etc cause he's the most dad shaped thing in the whole world (ahem also his intense abandonment issues would very clearly show in some circumstances but i cant elaborate on that rn)
