HELLO SKY I HAVE A QUESTION! For context when I finally leave genshin I feed my whole team their favorite food for a good job, like I give venti an apple (or cider if he did some good crits), jean some pizza and Bennett meat. But like I have no idea what to give scara. I asked my friends and they also don't know😭 maybe you have some idea.
- 🧩anon
Well from what I know about Scara, he hates sweet stuff and is really partial to bitter stuff, but has also stated that he's not picky
So things I'd avoid off the bat would definitely be fruit and anything particularly sweet, anything cream based, and meat wise probably shrimp since that's kinda sweet
I think really the best food would probably just be his specialty dish Shimi Chazuke, or even its base Unagi Chazuke, but that could get annoying real quick if you don't have a godly pile of Unagi on hand, so if you still want to use an Unagi dish that's a bit more manageable than it would be Grilled Unagi Fillet
Now you could focus on simple Inazuma dishes like Onigiri and Miso soup, since that's where he's from he would probably be most used to them
I'm not sure of his current relationship with lavender melon, but some dishs that use that would be Konda Cuisine (strong choice cause it includes snapdragon, which I'll expand on in a minute), Rice Cake Soup, and Five Pickled Treasures (also a strong ones cause pickling usually produces a sour/bitterish taste)
Now on the snapdragon thing, I know irl snapdragon blooms are edible and described as an acquired taste cause of their tart and bitter flavor, meaning, assuming that's true there too, a pretty good option might be Jewelry Soup, Vegetarian Abalone, or Sangayaki, along with the above stated Konda Cuisine
Keeping the topic of flowers, it's more common for them to be bitter over any other flavor, and Calla Lily's are described in-game as sweet and bitter (one of the few things actually described as bitter), making Calla Lilly Seafood Soup a possible contender
Now if you wanna stray farther from Inazuma based dishs cause unpleasant memories, but want to go that route of flowers with a Sumeru dish (since he seems to generally like the area from what I've seen), Lambad Fish Roll is definitely the way to go
It's too bad they don't have any coffee based dishs cause that could be really spot on, just a cup of black coffee would be perfect for him
It'll be up to you to pick between all the ones I've listed based on your resources, and I'm pretty sure I don't have every recipe so there might be a perfect option I don't know of, but yeah general guidelines are bitter = good, sweet = absolutely not
Good luck!

Konda's Hero (Itto x Gorou) ✦ 3k, smut
AU where the Arataki Gang actively patrols Konda Village and therefore everyone wants to fuck Itto. Gorou being a sneaky little tease, sort of a plot twist at the end, Itto is vile and feral. I imagine Ittorou soft and sweet but this was requested by a friend.
Top Arataki Itto x Bottom Gorou
content warnings: anal sex, anal fingering, masturbation, overstimulation, verbal degradation, washing, tail grooming, buttplug, breeding kink, consensual but non-safe gay sex
writer's note: explicit +18 content, please view at your own risk. thank you, have fun !
“Alright ladies, single file please.” Shinobu gestured to the women from Konda Village with his hand to the center of the camp. Giggles and enthusiastic “whoo”s resonated among the crowd as the ladies fixed their hair and ruffled their elegant fans in front of their faces.
Arataki Itto entered the campsite with his swag on, per usual, the gang greeting him with goofy salutes and pats on the back. Titles and the chain of command in the Arataki gang existed solely for practical reasons.
These were his friends, his chosen family. The people that accepted him as their own when no one would, and placed immense trust in him to call the shots. And the lack of this power struggle would always reflect in how joyous the site always remained.
Itto revered in front of the line-up with a kind smile, making the women swoosh on spot. The gang had done many great deeds in the past to Konda Village, ridding them of Kobuchis and Treasure Hoarders, and to this day troops would patrol the village daily to make sure none were returning.
Consequently, the women of the village were always eager to meet and, to put it in in the nicest term possible, sexually advance the head of the gang, the mighty Crimson Oni, Mr. Arataki Itto. This semi-formal hike up the hill to the campsite monthly allowed them to offer themselves, hoping to be chosen by him.
Contrary to popular belief, Itto rarely had sex with the women he chose from the crowds, and would mostly sit them down for a grand, delicious meal prepared by Shinobu to keep up the delightful conversation deep into the night.
His guests wouldn’t ever leave unsatisfied though, since his loud laughs, goofy jokes and hilarious take on life would leave them stunned, even if it wasn’t what they originally came here for.
Though, it is worth mentioning that when they returned to Konda Village they would all tell an entirely different story, as expected.
Itto chuckled at the sight, “Ladies, looking beautiful as always. You have no idea how much it means to me that you took the time to-” he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed a tail of brown, full fur towards the end of the line. “Uh…My apologies, just a second. Shinobu, could you come in here for a second?”
Shinobu stepped up with a smirk, knowing damn well what Itto was about to say. “Hey bro. Is that…Um—a dog?” The gang couldn’t help but giggle. “Yeah no, we asked. It’s a human with…you know…human body parts. It’s just the tail and ears.” Itto scratched his head. “You sure he is here willingly? A guy?”
“Yes boss, we made sure no one forced him or anything. He just said he wanted to come so we just let him.” Shinobu elaborated, then proceeded to whisper something in the oni’s ear.
Itto hummed and turned to the crowd. “Once again, I apologize for the interruption ladies, but it seems like I have an urgent matter to attend to. What do you say, would a feast tomorrow night make up for it?”
The women giggled, positive replies to the invitation raised from the line-up as the gang members escorted them to the exit. Itto gestured to Akira, “Hey man. Keep the puppy and take him to the bath, will you? I’ll be there shortly.” Akira nodded and ran after the crowd to discreetly separate the boy from the rest.
The bath was enormous, built for comfort with wooden seats and sealed marbles all along the walls and floors to trap in the heat. The pleasant smell of lavender soap mixed with the heavy water vapor in the air as Itto entered the bath in nothing but a tight pair of shorts, exposing his red and black markings along with his neatly sculpted abs.
He curiously approached the individual sitting shyly at the center of the pool, soaked to his waist with a pair of similar shorts provided by the gang, Itto didn’t know they had a size as small for the tiny boy.
“Hey there!” he greeted joyfully, dipping in the pool. A pair of beautiful turquoise eyes turned to Itto, “Good afternoon, sir.” Itto couldn’t help but chuckle at the formality, “And you are?”.
“My name is Gorou, sir.” his gaze fixed on the ground again. “Gorou…A beautiful name indeed. I’m Arataki Itto.”, he couldn’t help but notice how the boy blushed instantly upon hearing his name spill from Itto’s lips.
“Yes sir, I know. It is an honor to meet you.” Gorou found the confidence to look up again, his mind going blank instantly with Itto’s gentle gaze. “The honor is all mine. Though, I find it hard to believe that you are here at your own accord.” Itto asked with a hint of concern.
“No, I am. I apologize for appearing reserved…It’s just that I wanted to meet you for so long but, I never had the courage to join the group. I mean…I didn’t think you would ever pick me, the ladies that come are always so…enchanting after all.” Gorou struggled to find the words but he was gaining confidence.
“So why did you come up, then?” Itto asked. Gorou took a deep breath, moving his legs under the water. “I finally decided that it’s okay not to be chosen. But coming here meant that I could at least see you with my own eyes.” Itto hummed, “I see. So you came to meet me.”
“I…came to offer myself to you, sir.” Lust was beginning to hint at Gorou’s previously shy gaze. Itto was pleased with the answer. He studied the boy, paying attention to how he gripped onto the shorts to disguise the tremble.
“May I touch you?” Gorou nodded, getting up without hesitation to sit on Itto’s wide thigh with his back turned to him.
Itto suddenly noticed how small the boy truly was. His palm was enough to cover Gorou’s face and his feet didn’t even touch the ground on Itto’s lap. Gorou’s lean muscles were contrasted by his frail wrists and tiny waist, and the fluffy tail tickling the oni’s chest.
Itto scraped his claws lightly on Gorou’s shoulders and back, grabbing his waist with the other hand and occasionally squeezing his thighs firmly. The boy shuddered at the sensation, slowly becoming unable to keep his ears and tail from moving, which didn’t go unnoticed of course.
The oni grabbed the tail gently, petting along the length and eyeing Gorou’s ears from the back as they twitched. “Are you okay with me washing you?” Itto asked. Gorou turned to him, cheeks flushed from heat and arousal. “Uh…I cleaned up thoroughly sir, you don’t have to worry.” he answered, still breathing shakily.
“Not that you’re dirty, but you must enjoy getting your tail groomed, no?” Itto smirked and pulled Gorou even closer to his chest, hugging his waist tightly, breathing down on his neck.
The boy let out an involuntary high-pitched gasp. “I—you really don’t have to…do that for my enjoyment.” Itto left a kiss on Gorou’s shoulder, making his entire upper body twitch. “Who says I won’t enjoy it too?”
Gorou nodded, afraid that whatever he says will come out extremely needy. Itto hummed and reached back for a glass bottle of lavender shampoo. He poured some on the boy’s tail and brushed the golden brown fur.
The tail began to wag, moving harshly from left to right in excitement. Itto let out a loud laugh, Gorou was taking in short, fast-paced breaths, it was obvious he was fighting the urge to rock back and forth. He turned back to notice the shampoo smearing all over Itto’s chest while the oni began to scratch his lower back, driving him even crazier.
“Hngh—I am s—so sorry, I can’t…control-” Gorou made an unsuccessful attempt to  apologize for his excitement. Though, Itto was amused by it. He began to scrub the boy’s ears, delicately grooming the fur. “It’s okay, dear.”
Itto rinsed Gorou’s body with warm water while he did his best to hold back the twitches and whimpers. As enjoyable and satisfying as it was, his patience was beginning to wane. The oni carried him to a seat nearby, reaching out for a towel to dry them both.
Itto patted his thighs as Gorou settled back on his lap, this time facing him. “Do you feel better? I figured you must be tired.” he asked sweetly, running his claws up and down the boy’s thighs.
“Yes sir, thank you.” he replied, gaze fixed on Itto’s abs, almost mesmerized. The oni chuckled, “You can call me Arataki.” Gorou pondered for a moment, still unable to take his eyes off of Itto’s upper body, “Arataki…” he spoke out softly. “May I…touch?” the boy asked, his hand lingered in the air touching Itto’s skin.
“Of course.” the oni replied, his hands still fondling Gorou’s thighs. The boy hesitantly reached out, his fingertips made contact with Itto’s glistening skin, tracing his markings all the way down to his groin.
Gorou was stunned, he gained confidence with Itto’s encouraging touches, pressing his palms on the oni’s firm muscles and lightly scraping his fingernails on his sides. Itto still seemed very calm and collected, unlike Gorou. The young boy’s mind was spiraling, overwhelmed with the reality of finally touching the man he worshiped.
Itto held Gorou’s chin gently and leaned in for a kiss. He waited for Gorou to get over the initial shock before beginning to suck on his bottom lip. The boy obediently opened his mouth, allowing Itto’s tongue to roam freely, pulling him in deeper and deeper.
Gorou was fighting for his life trying to keep a steady breathing rhythm between the kisses. He could feel his erection almost ripping through the tight fabric, smushed between their bodies. Itto’s touch was sending shockwaves to his body, strong yet loving hands all over his back, ass and thighs.
Itto could feel the boy’s leg and hip muscles contract shakily in an attempt to hold still. He pulled away, cupping Gorou’s cheek and connecting their foreheads. “Don’t hold back. Let me see how much you need me.” he hissed into the younger’s face.
Gorou was on the verge of tears already, face burning up, desperate to touch Itto and be touched by him. He got down on his knees, rubbing his face on the oni’s groin and thighs and taking in the scent, carving it to his memory and getting engulfed in it fully.
He quickly rid Itto of his shorts, eyes widening at the mouth-watering sight. Itto was used to people getting surprised by his length, but what he saw in Gorou’s eyes was unmatched by anything he ever came across.
It was far from worry and intimidation, but rather pure hunger. Absolutely feral, true greed. “You don’t seem very off-put.” Gorou looked up, peeling his eyes away from Itto’s groin. “Why would I be? I wanted this for so long.” he batted his eyelashes slowly, commencing to place his mouth over Itto’s dick without breaking eye contact.
He licked around the tip sensually, then began to lick along the shaft, taking his time, breathing hot air onto the length and salivating all over it. Itto was shocked by the change of energy.
The shy and held-back boy was completely gone, leaving his place to this absolute animal, licking every inch, ready to devour him. Itto couldn’t hold back his moans, gripping onto the fur on Gorou’s head as the younger went on enthusiastically, finally swallowing it whole up to his throat.
“Fuck.” Itto hissed and threw his head back, sinking deeper into his seat while he scratched Gorou’s ears. His tail was wagging in all directions, hips rocking into the oni’s legs involuntarily.
He eventually pulled back, physically unable to continue without taking a breath. Itto’s dick left his mouth with a loud popping sound while he pumped up and down gently with his hand. “You’re amazing.” Itto breathed out and leaned back to wipe the tears running down the young boy’s cheeks.
Gorou rested his cheek on Itto’s palm and closed his eyes. He felt so euphoric, out of this world, even felt close to cumming moments before just from sucking Itto off. The oni’s strong hands petting his ears gently, his beautiful lips crying out his name, praising and teasing him, this was Gorou’s heaven.
Itto gestured him to get up, Gorou stood between his legs, knees scraped from the harsh marble. The oni slowly pulled down the tiny shorts, placing kisses all over Gorou’s tummy, tickling him like tiny butterflies.
His large hand wrapped around the boy’s rock hard cock, pumping up and down and massaging the tip gently. Gorou held onto Itto’s wide shoulders, forehead resting on top of the oni’s head. Itto’s other hand wandered around his ass, claws dragging along two plump cheeks.
Gorou placed his hand on top of the oni’s, attempting to guide his fingers towards his hole but facing opposition instead. Itto looked up at the boy, standing with a confused look on his face and pulled him to his lap.
“I want you to stretch yourself, these things are pretty sharp.” he gestured at the claws. “I don’t mind getting hurt.” Gorou wrapped his arms around the oni’s neck, back arched and eyes half-lidded, noticing that he was succeeding in hurrying Itto up.
“Oh I’ll hurt you plenty, but not like this. I won’t repeat myself, Gorou.” he grabbed the back of his hair, tugging and making the boy gasp lightly. “As you wish.” Gorou sucked on his own fingers, circling around the digits with his tongue and feeling Itto study every move closely with his eyes.
Gorou’s hand reached back as he adjusted his legs even further apart and gently pushed one finger inside, not wasting any time before adding the second one and starting to wander around. He felt Itto’s hands frame his upper body from the back and melted into his arms.
“Add another.” the oni ordered and Gorou obeyed without hesitation. His pupils rolled to the back of his head. “Faster.” He obeyed. Precum was coating Itto’s stomach. “Go deeper, stop avoiding it.” Gorou’s moans were echoing off the walls, body rocking back and forth with the impact.
“D-do I have to?” he asked with slight confusion. “What was that?” Itto smirked. “I…nothing.” Gorou took a deep breath and reached back to brush against his prostate, stimulating it carefully to keep himself from orgasming.
His head fell on Itto’s shoulder as the oni soothingly pet his head, other hand still grabbing his waist to keep him in place. Gorou’s wet breath and incoherent moans were hitting Itto’s shoulder, legs trembling and eyes shut tightly to hold himself.
He turned his face to speak right into the boy’s ear. “Are you okay, dear?” Gorou snapped back to reality with the tickle from Itto’s breath. “I really…mmh…really need you to fuck me…please, I can’t—ngh—hold out anymore.” he breathed out.
Itto smirked, “If you cum, I’ll make sure you regret it deeply.” Gorou looked up in tears, realizing this was a test of will. He regained composure, not hiding away anymore but instead facing the oni. He twisted his fingers far up inside, moaning into Itto’s mouth and grinding onto his dick.
Gorou stared into Itto’s eyes, challenging him in return. The oni was in fact adoring the view but struggling to keep himself from slamming into the boy with full force. He was a whimpering mess, so submissive yet demanding, sweet but cheeky. A breath of fresh air from the people who came to him as mindless turned-on slaves.
“I know you want—ah—me too, Arataki.” Gorou whimpered as if he was reading Itto’s mind, his hand ran through the beautiful, long white locks of hair. “Don’t you wanna ruin me?” he scraped his teeth against his neck. “Fuck me?” he ran his tongue along the sensitive spot. “Breed me?” he bit down, nibbling at the skin.
“Oh now you’ve fucking done it.” Itto grabbed Gorou by the throat, swiftly reversing their places to lay him down on the seat. He reached over to grab a bottle of body gel, sloppily smearing it over his dick and lining himself up with the young boy’s puffy hole.
A smug, devilish smirk extended to Gorou’s cheeks, content with the feeling of victory. “You’re full of shit, you know?” Itto pushed in harshly without a warning, making the boy screech. “All this shy virgin act? How you came all this way to please me ?” Gorou tried to adjust to the stretch as Itto kept mercilessly thrusting in and out. “You’re here to please yourself, am I wrong, General Gorou of the Resistance?”
Gorou froze for a moment, eyes wide and his smirk ripped off of his face. “You…you knew?” Itto chuckled, “Of course I knew. Never heard of a puppy roaming around before.”
Gorou was trying to stop his moans to talk more about it, but Itto seemed like he had no intention of slowing down. He grabbed the general’s thighs, spreading them even further to hit his prostate with every thrust. “Why did you—hmph—why did you pla—ay along then?” Gorou asked.
“Whatever gets you hot is fine by me, now bend over since you wanna be a filthy dog so badly.” Gorou was stunned, the fact that Itto seemed so naive about it all along, waited for him to feel like he had the upper hand and then stole the win from right under him.
It was humiliating, embarrassing to be caught in a lie, and it was turning him on so badly. What if people found out? He never thought his personal reputation would spread outside of Watatsumi, the Resistance wasn’t even fully functional yet.
The oni had pulled out but Gorou was too stunned to move or speak. Itto grabbed his torso to flip him over as the general finally caught up to stand on his hands and knees.
“Tsk. Such a mess, you must think you’re a great liar.” Itto huffed and pushed inside again, slower and more sensual this time, carefully exploring and abusing Gorou’s insides while he whimpered and moaned uncontrollably.
Itto held onto his narrow hips, guiding them with circular motions one way whilst moving his own the other to reach every nook and cranny. Gorou wasn’t so much standing on all fours anymore, his chest was melting onto the ground with his ass still high up.
Itto leaned forward to press his chest against Gorou’s back, hitting it from an angle that made the general’s toes curl and heart drop. He reached from under the general’s arms to play with his hardened nipples while leaving sloppy kisses along his back.
The boy was writhing and moaning under the weight, cross-eyed and fazed out, unable to even notice or stop himself from cumming when he released suddenly on his own stomach.
“Not so witty anymore huh?” Itto chuckled. Gorou tried to gather his thoughts, fireworks were going off in his brain from overstimulation. “Fuck…I’m sorry for lying. I’m all yours, Arataki. I—hnghh—I’ll be good, promise.”
Itto let out a satisfied hum, practically scraping Gorou off the floor and onto his lap. The fur on his ears blended into the chestnut hair, cheeks coated with tears, sweat and saliva, eyes hardly focusing on the oni.
Itto was admiring the view for a brief moment when the boy started grinding onto his dick, “More…please. I want more.” Itto’s eyes widened, Gorou looked hazy, almost completely spaced out, yet was asking for more.
Itto lifted his hips to skilfully slip inside again, rocking the frail boy up and down while his other hand wandered on his lower back, waist, chest and neck, calming and reassuring. “I’m…getting close again.” he muttered.
“Would you like me to cap you?” The general’s eyes lit up, “Yes! Oh my god, yes please.” Itto got up with Gorou wrapped around his waist and took out a blue buttplug, pushing the young boy’s back onto the wall.
The final thrusts, harsh and sloppy, sent lightning bolts to Gorou’s body as the oni’s breathing grew heavier. The general completely relaxed into the strong arms, releasing a second time between their bodies as Itto also reached his climax with a low grunt and tight grip on the boy’s delicious milky thighs.
“Take a deep breath for me.” Gorou’s compliance was followed by Itto pulling out and inserting the buttplug swiftly with only a few drops of semen fleeing to the floor. The oni patted him on the head lovingly as Gorou clinged onto him, sobbing and riding out the high.
 “You did great, pup.” Itto rubbed his shoulders with reassurance. He carried the general under the water again, cleaning his face and body with warm water while he slowly returned to his senses and shook off with a satisfied smirk.
“Too much? Itto chuckled. Gorou swiftly hopped onto his lap again. “Not quite enough, actually.”

For the follower event, could I request "Aw, you're blushing like a rose!" with Yoimiya? We all know how excited she can get, but do you ever wonder how shy she can get?
Also congrats on 800 followers! That's more than I can count on my fingers, so that's a lot! And here's to achieving many more milestones!
“Aw, you’re blushing like a rose!”
Characters: Yoimiya x gn!reader
Warnings: none, just fluff
a/n: I-… I would be more worried if you could count up to 800 on your fingers, anon. Yoimiya was my first 5 star (technically Qiqi, but we don’t talk about that) and writing this may or may not have made me remember how much I love her. So, congrats for single-handedly making me change my theme!
I hope what I wrote matches what you envisioned, if not, please tell me and I'll try again.
Anyway, thanks for the congratulations and I hope you enjoy!

Yoimiya
If you, or anyone else for that matter, had to describe Yoimiya in as few words as possible, they’d be “talkative, happy and extroverted”, after all there would only be a few times when none of those three words fitted her current behaviour. So whenever you witnessed her differ from her usual self, it caused you to either feel some kind of amazement at seeing that sight of her, or a lot of worry.
Like on most days on which you had nothing important to do, you found yourself spending time with Yoimiya, walking across the countryside, searching for a good spot to test out her new fireworks while talking about all kinds of things. And while you were amazed that you hadn’t run out of conversation-topics yet, even after doing your routine for the seemingly thousandth time, you two had probably talked about some things more than once without realising—something that didn’t really matter, since conversations with Yoimiya were more about the talking itself than the topic.
When Yoimiya finished her story about a funny thing that happened to her recently, you couldn’t help but let out a laugh, only to nearly let the crate containing the fireworks fall out of your hands, quickly catching it in the air before continuing to walk towards the spot the two of you had found not so long ago, silently thinking about what funny thing you could tell her in exchange. While there were a lot of things you could have talked about, you weren’t too sure if you hadn’t already told them in the past, causing you to continue search your memories for an amusing one, only to let out a small sound when you did, instantly drawing Yoimiya’s attention.
“Oh! Stop me when you already heard this one, but did I tell you what happened to me the last time I visited Konda village?”, you began, continuing once Yoimiya shook her head. You talked for such a long time that you were surprised you hadn’t tripped over something in the meantime, eventually ending your story while trying your best to hold in your laughter. “She really thought that the two of us are a couple. I mean can you ima-”, you were close to breaking out in laughter when you noticed how silent she had become, causing you to look in her direction, only for her to turn her head before you could see her face. “Yoimiya?”, you asked, being confused by her behaviour.
“Ehe. Yeah, that’s so weird”, she commented after letting out a nervous giggle before looking back in front of her, making sure she didn’t trip over something and let the fireworks fall, finally letting you see her face again, only to notice how red it was.
“Aw, you’re blushing like a rose!”, your mouth worked faster than your brain. Your excitement at seeing her blushing causing your words to sound a lot more teasing than intended.
Yoimiya immediately opened her mouth to say something, only for your brain to finally activate and you to speak up once more. “Sorry, that came out wrong. Let me try again”, you stated in a panic, not wanting her to think you were making fun of her. “Your face is red, is everything fine?”, you eventually managed to correct yourself, only to immediately cringe at how cheesy that sounded.
To your surprised, Yoimiya let out a laugh, seemingly finding your panic and subsequent change in demeanour somewhat funny, causing you to immediately stop whatever inner dialogue you had with yourself and turn your attention towards her again.
“Let’s bring the fireworks to the spot as fast as possible, we can continue talking once we are there”, she suggested, and while her cheeks were still red, her smile had returned to her face.

Like Oh 2.0 - Group Date
Previous Chapter: Date. Lessons. Gym. Word Count: 4,107 Summary: Melanie and Jaebeom first meet through a group date.
Like Oh 2.0 masterlist
here is the third chapter where Jaebeom and Melanie officially meet one another... in a sense. lol so happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
When Melanie arrived at the karaoke place with Dasol and Haeryong the trio were greeted by Seolbi along with the other two that had replaced Jasmine and Jeannie's spot. Upon reaching them, Melanie grew confused on why Dayoon was there as she never hung out with them except for when she was with Melanie and the twins only. Melanie did mentally roll her eyes upon seeing the other girl, Yerim, who was standing close with Dayoon. It was because Melanie wasn't fond of her ever since she came to the first group date with the Anam Tigers several months ago, but never voiced out her opinion as she was Seolbi's friend. The reason Melanie wasn't exactly friends with the girl was because Yerim only hung around whenever Seolbi would invite her when one of them bailed out or whatever. Plus, Yerim gave her bad vibes from the get-go.
"Hey everyone!" Seolbi greeted the others happily. "You all know Yerim, but this is Dayoon. She's a friend of Yerim and it's her first time doing a group date." The two younger women waved at the trio as everyone exchanged pleasantries. "I know I said to meet here, but we're actually going to meet the guys at Taegukgi now." Seolbi explained as she motioned for them all to head back to the subway station. "Why didn't we just meet there in the first place, Bi?" Dasol asked in confusion. "Yeah, Bi. It would have saved us a twenty minutes ride coming here." Haeryong added as Seolbi laughed sheepishly. "Sorry. It's because I sent a message to the Kondae boys to meet at the karaoke place, but one of the guys, Jaehoon, said they couldn't make it in time and opted for our original meet-up place just now to eat first."
"We could have still waited for them to show up and eat somewhere around here though." Melanie reasoned as the group of six boarded the subway train to their next destination. "I know that most of us wouldn't mind." "Yeah, I know, Chaewon unnie, but they're already on their way to Taegukgi and I just thought we'll just convenience them." Seolbi informed them as Melanie rolled her eyes, "Okay," before resting them on Dayoon. "I thought you had to help your cousin with something, Dayoon?" The younger woman slightly jumped upon hearing Melanie's words before answering slowly. "Oh, well, it was short and um, and not as long as I thought it would be. Then Yerim unnie asked me to join her on this outing and I agreed." "I see." Melanie didn't quite believe it as the younger woman seemed suspiciously jumpy unlike her usual self, but didn't voice out her thoughts.
~~~~~~~
Melanie was playing Candy Crush Saga and on the Dreamworld edition on her phone as she and the other five were patiently waiting for the Konkuk University boys to show up. She didn't participate in their discussion or gossiping about whatever they were talking about as she had no real interest with their topics and mostly kept to herself until she felt like interacting. Besides, the owl kept her more entertained compare to talking about people that didn't concern her. "Dammit, Odus. Why do you keep doing this to me, Odus?" Melanie muttered as she would scold the virtual bird in English every time the bird would shift a little too much to one side of the scale that eventually would tip over and Melanie would again fail the level. "Stupid little bird."
"Unnie." Haeryong jabbed Melanie right's side to get her attention as the Kondae boys had just arrived and were all staring at her due to her mini outburst. Melanie gave her friend a dark look before turning her attention to the six males in front of her as her gaze soften. "Oh, hi." She weakly smiled at them with an awkward wave with her right hand while setting her phone in her pocket with the other as the males cast her friendly smiles except for one who Melanie noticed was wearing a mask and couldn't tell. Maybe he's sick, she thought before turning her attention onto Seolbi who began speaking. "Yay, we're all here." She exclaimed excitedly from her seat as she indicated for the males to sit across from the females. "Please, sit."
"Sorry we made you girls wait." Jaehoon apologizes on behalf of himself and his friends. "Oh no, no. The wait was well worth it." Dasol smiled at them before Yerim spoke up next. "We've been highly anticipating for your arrival, honestly." Oh, that we love hearing about." Taesuk commented with a flirty tone to match his smile. "We can say the same thing about you ladies, too." Everyone laughed as Daeil spoke up a few seconds later. "Um, how about we introduce ourselves?" "Great idea!" Haeryong agreed as she looked about the table. "Who wants to go first?" Everyone just looked at one another and so Haeyrong decided to go first as she stood up to do so with Dasol springing up next. Then she was followed by Seolbi.
Distracted by her mobile once again as Melanie returned to playing Candy Crush, she missed her cue to introduced herself next as she was always the fourth one to go after Seolbi. So Seolbi nudged Yerim to go next who introduced herself in a shy manner. Dayoon was sitting next to Yerim and followed after once her friend had sat down and did the same thing. Now everyone turned to face Melanie, but she was still distracted by Odus who was close to following off of the scale again. "Unnie." Haeryong had to nudged her friend again as Melanie let out distractedly, "Hmm?" "It's your turn." Haeyrong whispered as Melanie sighed softly while turning away from her phone and towards the males.
Melanie still wondered why she attended these group hangouts even though she wanted a boyfriend, but doing this for the past two years have surely gotten tiring and repetitive with no results of a boyfriend. I think this will be my last one, Melanie thought as she quickly plastered on a friendly smile while standing up to get it done and over with. "Hello. I'm Lee Chaewon, I'm in my third year at Seouldae, and I like the color blue." She finished it with another smile and sat down. Melanie decided that she would keep it simple and didn't want to go further into details of herself when she knew that she would never see any of them again or attend another group hangout again.
All six of the Konkuk males clapped enthusiastically after the females had introduced themselves in a cheerful manner and thanked them for their introductions before going one by one to introduced themselves next. Jaehoon went first. He was followed by Chulsoo. After him was Daeil. Jaebeom went next. "Hello, I'm Seol Jeffrey. I'm in my third year at KU under the Music and Films departments. I'm sorry for the face mask as I'm unwell and didn't want to get any of you sick, but I really hope that doesn't disrupt our time together though." Jaebeom quickly sat back down as Melanie stared at him a little longer as the words he spoke triggered something in her mind, but she couldn't quite figure out why or what it was exactly that made her think about him a little bit more than the others.
Her thoughts were disrupted by Haeryong nudging her playfully. Melanie turned towards the younger woman and noticed her friend was wriggling her eyebrows up and down with a knowing smirk. Melanie rolled her eyes and nudged Haeryong back just as playfully as they focused their attention onto the last two males. Kyungtae went after Jaebeom, and Taesuk was the last to introduce himself. The girls soon clapped with just as much enthusiasm as the boys had and thanked the boys for introducing themselves as well. As for the seating arrangements, it went like this. Melanie was across from Taesuk. Haeryong was across from Daeil. Dasol was across from Jaebeom. Dayoon was across from Chulsoo. Yerim was across from Kyungtae. And Seolbi was across from Jaehoon.
A minute later a waiter stopped by to take their order as they ordered brisket, short ribs, and pork belly. The group of twelve also opted for alcohol with Melanie already ordering dessert before everyone else as she really wanted to eat something sweet while waiting for the meat to come so they could cook it themselves. While everyone was casually mingling with one another, Melanie kept to herself as she gave up on the Candy Crush game and focused on the Diamond Digger Saga instead. As the female's attention was solely on her phone, she didn't notice that Taesuk was trying to get her attention. "Chaewon-yang, right?" Melanie heard a deep voice say her name and she looked up. "Hmm? Ah, yes."
She smiled at him sheepishly while putting away her phone so she could interact with guy. "Taesuk-goon, yes?" "Yes." He bowed his head towards her with that same smile from earlier. "I don't mean to sound rude, Chaewon-yang, but I couldn't help to notice your accent when you speak." He also eyed her closely. "And that you don't appear Korean either." Melanie just smiled at him. "It's okay. You weren't rude at all. But yes, I'm not Korean and I'm actually from the states." Taesuk's expression turned to one of interest. "Oh, wow. How long have you been here?" "For a little over two years now. It's why my pronunciation is a bit choppy at times and also why the accent pops up, too." Taesuk chuckled softly. "It's okay, Chaewon-yang. Your pronunciation is quite good. Actually, it's a lot better than Chulsoo hyung at times."
"Did I hear my name over there, Taesuk-ah." Chulsoo asked turning to look at his friend as Taesuk denied it. "No, hyung." He then flashed Melanie a mischievous look and Melanie saw how handsome he looked and noticed the dimples. Aww, he has dimples, she thought as she smiled at the male. "So are you from Seoul or another part of South Korea?" "Not from Seoul. I'm actually from Jeju." Melanie's eyes widened upon hearing he was from Jeju Island. "Wow, really? That's so cool. I haven't had the chance to visit there yet even though I've been here for two years." "Hmm, maybe I can show you around when it's holidays?" Taesuk offered in a friendly manner as Melanie nodded in agreement. "Yeah, maybe. That would be fun."
Just then the waiter returned with two bottles of blue raspberry flavored soju, the side dishes, and the macaron ice cream that Melanie had ordered. "Thank you." The female thanked the male waiter as she positioned the dessert in an appealing way while bringing out her phone to take a picture. "On Instagram?" Taesuk asked her curiously as Melanie shook her head with a playful smile. "No. Just to send it to my friends and sister who wanted to come here, but I came first." Just as Taesuk was about to reply back, Seolbi's voice yelled out 'change' and she saw her friends and the Kondae guys switched seats, but remained where she was after putting away her phone when she was done messaging the other three.
Once that was done and over with Melanie frowned when she noticed Yerim was sitting next to her and Dayoon was next to Yerim. Jaebeom was now sitting across from her as Taesuk was all the way down on the other end with Dasol conversing just as freely as he did with her. Melanie returned to her dessert as she picked up the mini plastic spoon with her left hand and took a bite out of her green tea macaron ice cream and loved how it melted in her mouth. Melanie relished in the deliciousness when she heard Jaebeom asking her a question. "Is that good, Chaewon-yang?" She nodded her head as she took another bite. "Yeah. Do you want to try it, Jeffrey?" She offered the dessert towards him while speaking in English.
Jaebum didn't respond as he didn't know what she had actually said because he didn't know English, but judging by how Melanie was holding the treat towards him he assumed what she was trying to do. "Ah, no it's yours. I don't want to impose. Plus, I'm sick, remember?" Jaebeom rejected, but he had answered in Korean as Melanie tilted her head upon him doing that, but dismissed it. "Psh, whatever. It's fine, Jeffrey-goon. I don't mind." She pushed the dessert closer to him while sticking the spoon into it. "Maybe I can miss a few days of school." She grinned at him playfully. "Besides, it's a really big macaron ice cream. I might not even eat it all." Jaebeom relented at Melanie's generosity and he's not one for passing up food either. "Alright, Chaewon-yang. If you insist."
Melanie noticed that Jaebeom had picked up the spoon with his left hand before moving it to his right while slightly bringing down his mask with his left. He tasted the treat and was surprised at its taste. "Oh wow. That is super good." Melanie heard him, but she was more focused about whether he was a lefty or right as she hardly ran into other lefties. "Are you left-handed?" Jaebeom had just finished his second scoop when Melanie spoke about the left-handed part. "Um, yeah." He coughed a bit before regaining his composure. "I'm ambidextrous, but I eat with my right and write with my left. I noticed you're left-handed, too." "Mmhmm, but that's good, right?" Melanie smiled as her shifted to the dessert before them. "Oh, yeah." Jaebeom took another bite of the dessert.
Just as Melanie was asking for her dessert back, Haeryong had to open her big mouth to tease the two upon noticing their interactions with one another. "Look! Indirect kiss!" Everyone at their table turned to see Jaebeom still with the small spoon in his hand and the macaron dessert in mid-motion to be placed into Melanie's hand. "Whaa, so cute, Won unnie!" Dasol cooed from the other end as she blew her friend a kiss. "Haha, you go, girl. You got this." She cheered in English as Melanie rolled her eyes. Then the others started to tease the two for doing such a thing so sneakily. Yerim wasn't pleased with the thing, but she went along with it so that no one would noticed her displeasure.
Chulsoo who was sitting beside Jaebeom clamped a hand onto his left shoulder. "See, hyung, I knew you would be getting all the ladies tonight." Melanie heard that and didn't like the way it sounded and so she dismissed that thought while brushing off all of the teasing and grabbed back her dessert. Jaebeom was going to say something to her to disregard what they were all saying and Jaehoon was about to speak up for another 'change', but the waiter appeared with another waiter to set all their meats onto the table interrupting them. They decided to just stay put to eat and converse more with one another as Melanie asked one of the waiters if he could bring extra dishes of fish cakes for her as she really liked them.
The teasing stop once the food arrived and everyone went back to talking again. Melanie decided to stay quiet and eat to avoid interacting with anyone. A few seconds later, she felt bad for Jaebeom as he ended up staying quiet once the teasing ceased as well. His mask was lowered more so he could eat better, and Melanie figured she could at least be nice just for one more night of this group hangout. "So, uh, Jeffrey-goon," She began slowly in Korean as she was unsure if she should asked him in English since he didn't respond last time when she did speak English. She was also curious to know if he was born in the USA or Australia, or another English-speaking country. "Are you from overseas?"
The male looked up confused after he had finished chewing his pork belly lettuce wrap. "Huh?" Melanie repeated her question as Jaebeom shook his head. "Ah, no, no. I'm not from overseas. I was born and raised in Seoul and have lived nowhere else. "Oh, then did you parents just give you an English name." Jaebeom laughed sheepishly as he shook his head while he smiled at the memory of his name. "No. It's an English name I gave myself." Melanie found his smile familiar, but couldn't put her finger on it. It was the same for his tone of voice as the more she heard it the more she found it familiar as well. She just couldn't figure out from where and so being curious Melanie leaned forward so she could speak for only him to hear.
"For some reason you seem really familiar, but I don't know why." Jaebeom shot her another smile and she noticed his eyes twinkle playfully and just as she was about to comment on it, Haeryong interrupted her. "Omo, look at these two!" Haeryong continued to tease with glee. "They're hitting it off in their own little world and ignoring the rest of us." Dasol joined in on the fun. "Thank the heavens for bestowing a sliver of light upon our Ice Princess' dark and poor soul." Melanie grimaced at her friends' teasing and backed away from Jaebeom to sit up straight while finishing her green tea macaron ice cream. "Whatever. Shut up." "Don't be all shy, Won unnie." Seolbi giggled. "We're just teasing." "Well, stop it, the three of you."
Melanie mused with a dark look, but then it clicked in her head as to why the guy across from her seemed so familiar who was also getting teased by his own friends. "What's with that face, unnie?" Seolbi asked as her face lit up mischievously. "Are you having those major feels now?" She wriggled her eyebrows up and down. "Do you want alone time with Jeffrey-goon?" Melanie snapped out of her trance to shoot her friend a dry look. "No. But nothing's wrong. Don't mind me." Soon enough everything went back to normal as Melanie couldn't contain the smile from appearing on her face as she glanced at Jaebeom one more time while bringing out her phone to message her sister that she was on a group date with her GOT7 bias.
Unknown to Melanie, Jaebeom had caught the grin on Melanie's face and wondered what caused that. Her expression became more excited when she started doing something on her mobile device. Jaebeom wondered if it was because of the whole constant teasing or maybe something else as Melanie had brushed off the teasing from earlier. He figured this must be about something else that could have put that expression on her face. Jaebeom averted his gaze from Melanie and made eye contact with Yerim who smiled wide upon meeting eyes, but he soon directed his gaze to his food instead. Although Melanie's expression was okay, Jaebeom felt more unease by Yerim's constant gaze upon him throughout the group date.
The younger woman only had her eyes on Jaebeom the whole time since he had introduced himself. Others didn't notice, except for Dayoon who Yerim had talked to more than the others, as they were enjoying themselves or were minding their own business. The other males eventually figured out that Yerim was only interested in Jaebeom as she completely ignored Kyungtae in favor of looking at Jaebeom who was conversing with Dasol comfortably from where she sat. Then when the switch up occurred, Yerim ignored Chulsoo like she did Kyungtae and made sure that Dayoon had sat next to her for some reason. So Chulsoo just conversed with the others knowing he wouldn't get a response out of Yerim or Dayoon.
Yerim was envious when Jaebeom sat across from Melanie instead of her and she was ignored by him once again when he spoke with Melanie comfortably. Then again, Yerim didn't speak or initial conversation with the male. She figured with her good looks she didn't have to do or say anything and he would look her way and approach her first. Jaebeom didn't want to approach Yerim as Mark's words from earlier rang in his head still about not bringing home a stalker. Although he was now cautious of Melanie due to that unexpected smile of hers, he figured she was safer from both Yerim and Dayoon who stayed just as quiet as Yerim. But he remained calm and cool for the remainder of the meal just to give them all the benefit of the doubt.
~~~~~~~
The group of twelve found themselves outside of Taegukgi while trying to figure out what to do next. Kyungtae suggested karaoke and Seolbi suggested there was one a block or two away that was opened twenty-four hours. A majority of them agreed, but Melanie excused herself from the late night activity as she didn't feel like singing tonight. "Hey, I think I'm going to go." Melanie said to no one in particular while lagging behind the others. "What?! No way, Chaewon-ah." Dasol pouted as she pulled on Melanie's hand. "You have to come! We haven't gone to one together in so long!" Melanie pulled her hand away and shook her head. "Nah, I'm not in the mood and I don't want to ruin it for everyone."
Haeryong threw her arms around Melanie's shoulders. "You can't bail on me again, Chaewon!" She faked cried dramatically. "You said the next time you and I would sing that one duet song you wanted to sing." Melanie freed herself while laughing at her friend's dramatic behavior. "This doesn't count, Ryong, but seriously guys, I'll pass. I did have fun with the dinner and all that though." "Fine." Haeryong and Dasol gave up as Seolbi looked at her in concern. "Are you going back to the dorms?" "No, I'm going to my sister's instead." "What?! You can't go there by yourself. It's not good to travel alone, Chaewon." "Bi, I'll be fine. You know I always do this." Melanie reassured her friends. "Besides, it's not that far away. It's in Cheongdam."
"Cheongdam?" Jaebeom let out in surprised as Melanie nodded her head in confirmation. "Yeah, my sister lives there and I stay there from time to time when I'm not at Seouldae." "Jeffrey hyung, why don't you accompany Chaewon noona since you live in Cheongdam, too." Daeil suggested innocently. "Since you're not feeling well and I don't think you want to come sing with us, too, right?" "Yeah, Jeffrey hyung." Jaehoon agreed with a hint of playfulness in his voice. "Why not accompany Chaewon-yang to her sister's place so she doesn't have to go alone." Melanie tried to reject the idea, but her friends and his friends weren't going to let her go alone.
Yerim on the other hand tried to say some things, but her suggestions were overpowered by the other voices who were already bidding their goodbyes to Jaebeom and Melanie. Yerim was about to stay behind with Dayoon when she felt Seolbi grab a firm hold of her and Dayoon's arm and led the duo along with the rest of the group. This left Melanie and Jaebeom to awkwardly stand there in front of Taegukgi as they watched their friends' figures get smaller and smaller. Melanie glanced over at Jaebeom and spoke honestly. "Look, I understand if you have something else to do. You really don't have to accompany me home." She cast him a reassuring look. "I'll be fine by myself. I promise." She held up her left hand in an oath-like post. "Seriously."
"No, no, no, it's fine. Seriously, I don't mind at all, Chaewon-yang. It's not a big deal as we're headed in the same direction, anyways." Jaebeom smiled at the female although his mask blocked the lower part of his face, but Melanie saw that it had reached his eyes and just went with the flow of their situation. "Alright, Jeffrey-goon. If you agree, then I'll agree to the part of keeping each other company on our way home since it's in the same direction." The two smiled at one another as the duo began to walk side by side towards the subway station opposite of where their friends went. "By the way," Melanie said after a few seconds of walking as she was curious to know Jaebeom's reason with his name from earlier, "Why go by Jeffrey when it would have been easier to go as Jaebeom?"

Hey Look at What I’ve Been Doing
This is a scene (totally unedited whoops) from Between the Lines, in which a demonstration just got interrupted by the asshole himself, and a few new assassin friends (because they were getting paid)
taglist: @soul-write @horsepowerred (i don’t think there was anyone else, sorry if I forgot!)
The anger the crowd had soon turned to fear as the flames soared above their heads. Some pushed past Roopal and into the alleyway, seeing me, but ignoring me.
 I couldn’t help but let out a laugh as I watched them all run past me. It was funny, watching how quickly they turned from the predators to the prey. I slipped through them, trying to get to Roopal.
 It’s not like this guy is actually scary or anything, I thought, pushing my earlier fears aside. He’s just a joke.
 That’s what I told myself, until I looked up at the apartment roofs, and saw the devil incarnate himself. Agnidev.
 Even though he may look ridiculous on television, I had to admit, he was terrifying, despite being many yards away from me.
 “What are you doing here?” I looked at Roopal as he finally noticed me, giving him as small shrug.
 “I wanted to stop the demonstrators from hurting people,’ I said, before looking bak at Agnidev. “Do you think he’s going to try anything?”
 “He’s an entitled whit—I mean, he knows we’re here, so he likely will.” Roopal looked up at Angidev with me. Agnidev wasn’t moving for that second, and I couldn’t really see his face, but I knew he was staring down at the two of us. Like he was better than us.
 Then, a wall of flame shot at us.
 I moved before I could even think, pressing myself against the wall of the alleyway and shutting my eyes. The hot flames stabbed at me like knives, making the air around me feel oppressive as it rushed past me. It left almost as soon as it came, but the heat stuck by me as I slowly opened my eyes, forcing my body to relax. My heart was beating too hard and too fast for my liking, and my lungs just wouldn’t work right. But, I wasn’t immediately incinerated, which was probably a good thing.
 “Kid, you should probably go inside.” Roopal stepped in front of me, keeping an eye on Angidev the whole time.
 “You sound like my dad. I’m fine, and I want to help.”
 “It’s almost like your dad came to me, the guy with three kids older than you, for parenting advice.” Roopal pushed me back more, looking at me for just a second before focusing on Agnidev again. “And, it’s not your job to help. It’s your job to feel safe.”
 “Well, I’d feel safer if I could help get this guy in jail!” I wondered if Agnidev had any clue what our conversation was like at that moment, or if he just though we were insane. Don’t know which one of those options I would prefer.
 Then, someone across the street caught my eye. More specifically, two people. There was the one person that I saw before, which I could recognize because of their outfit, but there was now someone else, dressed in obnoxious neon colors. And the two of them were fighting in hand to hand combat, which I soon recognized as some form of martial arts. It was very similar to the one my dad taught at his studio, it seemed.
 “I don’t think he’s alone,” I said to Roopal, right before another person in bright neon jumped in front of us.
 The police sirens were still there, but they didn’t seem to get any closer. Or any farther.
 “Great, the Konda triplets. Keep an eye out for the third one,” Roopal answered, though the question I had never posed had already been answered for me. I turned around towards the other side of the alley, staying close to Roopal as he pulled out his plants.
 I had never met the Konda triplets, but I had heard a lot about them from my dad. Two of them, Heidi and Angie, were identical twins, and they both were born with the ability to produce an extremely deadly venom. The third one, Emily, didn’t have that ability, but she was really, really good at chemistry. And exactly how to kill people in the most painful ways. If they had lived normal lives, the three would be in college now, but their parents died at some point, and they decided to basically become assassins.
 I heard Roopal grunt behind me, and I just hoped he didn’t get hit.
 “Hello, sweetie.” I jumped as I saw a figure walk out from behind the dumpster, clad in all black. That was Emily. She walked up to me slowly, as if she wasn’t trying to startle me. Well, it was too late for that, as I felt my arms tingling. “I don’t think you remember me. I used to watch you all the time when you were little.”
 “Uh, that’s cool, but your sister’s trying to kill the guy that’s basically my adopted uncle so, uh, that’s a problem.” So, so graceful.
 “Don’t worry, it’s not you’d have much time to mourn him, anyway,” Emily said in a calm tone, taking something out of her pocket. I didn’t wait at that point, and neither did my reflexes. I felt the aura around my arms, but it didn’t make me panic like at school. Probably because I was panicking about something else at the moment.
 “No you don’t!” I yelled in a totally cool fashion, before running to close the gap between Emily and I, my fist ready for a punch, which I didn’t even know how to do properly. I pushed my weight forward as I got to her, ignoring the fact she could stab something in my arm and immediately kill me. For some odd reason, I aimed for her shoulder, instead of her nose, which I could’ve broke. The punch connected, though, and I looked away as I saw the aura grow sharp, piercing through her skin.
I pulled away quickly, taking a few steps back as I watched Emily recoil from the pain. I almost felt a bit bad, but then I felt proud, because I just landed a hit on a trained assassin. Then, I felt bad again, because there was no reason why she should’ve had to become a trained assassin in order to survive.
 Giovanna, please stop feeling bad for people that are literally trying to kill you, I thought. After all, it’s kind of important to your well-being that you’re alive.
 “Well, that’s rude. And here I was, going to give you something not so painful, because you’re just a kid.” Emily stood up as straight as she could, despite the pain. “And then you just go ahead and stab me.”
 “Well, I’d appreciate it more if that first part was just not killing me.” I kept my fists up, though the sight of blood make me want to barf all over the ground. It was, odd, to say the least. After all, I’ve seen blood plenty of times, once a month at the very least. Why would I get nauseous because I hurt somebody that was literally trying to kill me?
 “Sorry, sweetie, but in this economy, we need the money that we’ll get from killing you.” Emily dropped the thing she had taken out of her pocket onto the ground, taking something else out of her pocket instead. “How would some Ethylene glycol feel for you?”
 “I’m guessing uh, painful?”
 “Very painful. You’ll die in around seventy-two hours, with your organs slowly shutting down, one by one. At least you’d have time to say goodbye to your loved ones first.” Emily started to advance towards me again, though this time, the gap was much smaller.
 “Uh, well, would me being alive even change anything? Like, you know, it’s not like I’ve done anything. My head probably doesn’t fetch that too high of a price.” I took as many steps back as I could, now being back to back with Roopal. Emily stopped, squinting at me.
 “You are too humble. Almost a shame,” she said, before lunging at me. All my body told me to do was duck, which was what I did, not thinking about the fact that there was someone behind me that was also a potential target for Emily.
 The sirens started to get closer.
 Emily stayed above me, aiming her syringe for Roopal now. I opened my mouth to yell something, something to warn him, but even if something came out, it was immediately drowned out by a different siren. Fire department. He somehow knew, though, sending a dense vine up right where Emily was aiming, as if he actually practiced this kind of stuff. Oh yeah, he did. I was like, the only Superhuman that didn’t.
 Emily hit the vine with her syringe, getting stuck for just a moment. I took that opportunity, doing something actually smart, and tackled her legs while she was off balance. She fell backwards, hitting the shoulder that I had already injured onto the floor.
 “Giovanna, kid, get back inside now. If anyone finds you, they’ll start questioning.” I scrambled back up as Roopal spoke, still parrying the attacks from whichever Konda triplet was there. The sirens from the firetruck were loud, and they weren’t moving.
 “But—“
 “No buts this time. Just go back.” I wanted to explain my reasoning as to why I’d be fine, but it seemed like I wasn’t going to be allowed to talk. So, I simply kicked Emily the ribs one time, for good measure, before sprinting back over the fire escape and climbing up.
I hopped into my father’s room, walked back into the living room, and didn’t say a word to Mrs. Greenstein.
 Maybe Nadia was right. Maybe I did need to train.

Hello people!
How was your week? I had a fairly good week, it was hectic and tiring but it was good until i caught a cold.
Monday: Monday since i didnt have to work i stayed home laminating my interactive material and when T came home from work we went to Emart. He bought me a really cute watch since i needed it for classes since i didnt want to keep checning my phone, he wanted to buy a smart watch for both of us (hahaha i sound like we can just buy those things whenever we want but no, we save up for those type of things) but i dont want one because i geniuenly dont have a need for one, anyway we bought stuff at emart and came home. I thought at the time i had avoided the cold i thought i caught on Sunday.
Tuesday: went to work, every tuesday staff reuinion at the center and then i went to my first class the 27 m/o baby, he is really cute and you can notice he is somewhat understanding what i am teaching him but he cant speak yet so its tough to tell for sure. The second class was new kid i was added and he is the type of kids that ..are difficult, the mother had forgotten the class was on tuesdays at 6:30 and my boss forgot to call her to confirm (usually teachers do that but she said since im a forgeiner she would do it) besides they gave me the families old address thankfully the new house was a street away. The boy was not having it, he did not want to have class and he was just doing whatever the fuck he wanted, most of my students are young so its normal for them to get distracted but you can tell the difference when they get natrually distracted because they include me in their distraction for examole the baby boy keeps trying to gwt mw to play ball with him, or anotherone that just telling me about pokemon but this boy did not give a fuck about me or the class he was just difficult but i was like whatever i will go through if the class and maybe its just because he's tired, so who knows but when i was going his mom gave him an orange and he just threw it on the floor and smeared it with his foot as if it was funny and his mom said nothing so ..he still seems a bit difficult.
Wednesday: t was at home for the morning but had to go to work that night so i decided to make lunch for both of us: carne asada, refired beans a co-worker who grew up in Guatemala gave me and cilantro rice i made with the left over cilantro the Pho place gave me. I went to work at 4, and when i got to my students house i noticed he had a cold and i immediately was like "uh-oh" you know how kids are (he is 3) they dont cover their nose, whipe their nose with their hands and then touch you and your stuff. After class i came home and later that night my throat started feeling weird.
Side note: my mom would always make soup and salad everyday for lunch and dinner (same thing for both meals as is common in Colombia) and without fail they had cilantro ALWAYS! So i grew up eating cilantro, but it wasnt until i moved to Korea and the first time eating mexican food with T he was like "oh no the taste of cilantro is too strong i cant eat this" and i was like "Cilantro has a taste????" Like i grew up eating that in soups and stuff, never on its own so i never recognized the taste, let alone believe it was strong, i just thought it was a must for food like salt or whattever, the only other thing i new of cilantro was that it makes you sleepy, so if there was too much on our food it was like "mom is trying to make us chill" idk if its true or its just placeboo at this point since i grew up hearing it thus believing it. So yeah, i didnt know cilantro had a taste of its own until i moved to Korea, thankfully T has learned to like it but he judges me when i add a bit too much.
Thursday: my throat was even more irritated that morning but i felt fine in general, t had the day off so i made lunch again: arroz con pollo. I went to work, T took me to my classes on his new scooter motorcycle and while he waited he went shopping. My second student on thrusdays is a bitbhard because he is all over the place distracted and skipping all the steps but its okay because at least he looks excited for the class. Then i had my last class and went out to eat dinmer with T, by this time my throat was in so much pain it hurt to talk but the rest of me felt fine, we went to Kondae to eat Makchang (i think its the large intestine of the pork) and then i bought a leather jacket more like i bought a fake leather jacket because T has been dying to see me in a leather jacket (boy shoulda seen me at 16) idk why so now he can finally stop talking about it.

Friday: my throat felt better so i thought i had avoided getting a cold, i went to the center to pick up my class materials for next week and for the new student on fridays my boss had only told me about the night before. I went back home and since T again had the day free we went to the bank to open a family account, then he took me to my class, i was nervous because i had been told the kids mom is scary but when i arrived there (a bit late since i had forgotten something and had to go back to the center) they were so nice, their appartment is amazing, its huge and has a beautiful view people say celebreties live in those buildings too which explains the amount of security in the complex which is odd for most korean apartments. The mom was so nice, the dad too and their little boy is wonderful too so idk what they wete talking about tbh. When class finished we came back home, took all my pants (all except one i recently bought) a skirt and a dress to the seamstress because they were too big on me now and the lady was like "why are they so big??" "Its hard for you to find clothes the fit well, right? (it is) since you have a butt (i dont i just store most of my fat in my thighs and hips but not the butt) but your waist is so small" then when she got to the dress she seemed troubled because it was more work than what it seemedm we paid 90 bucks which is apparently expensive? Idk how since she has to do a lot of work on my clothes, 7 items and 2 items for T. Then we came home and i started to feel sick again, when bed time came i was completely sick.
Today: sleeping was terrible, i kept choking in my sleep because i have a stuffy nose and a very swollen throat. T woke up at all hours trying to help me feel better, giving me wster and medicine, i felt so bad since he had to wake up early but there he was taking care of me at like 4 am. When he woke up for work all i remember is him telling our cat "Bean, mom is sick be nice to her today and take care of here" aside from that being cute on its own i actually think she listend to him, although bean is very sweet she has moments when she likes to bully me, trip me ovet, bite my legs or scratch my hands (only me she never does that to T even if he was the one annoying her she takes it out on me) but today she has been so sweet and calm, no yelling or demanding snacks, no bullying just love.
At one my MIL took me to the doctors, they somehow always mention the fact i got surgery on my nose for allergy reasons and say something i cant fully understand and no one can translate for me but i am starting to feel the surgery was a waist of money, my allergies are back (not as bad as before but their back) and everytime i get a cold it fucks me up so hard. Then when comming home my MIL bought me so much pastries and bread because i didnt want lunch or let her pay for my medicine.
Sometimes i look at T and feel so lucky i have a husband that is so sweet, selfless and careing but then i see his parents and im like yep that makes sense. His parents have always been so sweet and understanding, the accepted me for me get go and have always treated me like a daughter, sometimes i tease T telling him his dad loves me more than than him haha his parents helped pay for my surgery back when we had only been dating for a year (my parents couldnt afford it i mean back at home they could but Korean money is much more expensive than Colombian money) and now everytime i mention trying to pay them back they wont have it.
I also noticed i have three big bruises on my legs i have no idea where they came from. Its annoying because everytime i hurt myself and say "oh this is gonna leave a bruise" there is no bruise to be found, but then these bruises appear and its like for you to be so big and persistent shouldnt i remember what your from???

Tomorrow: T and i finally both have the same free day, but this fucking cold will probably ruin it all so who knows.
Anyways that was my week, i hope you all had a good week too!
