aside from this being an absolutely insane statement to make, something really frustrating about this is if i was to say "hey um actually i dont agree with that. everyone is (supposed to be) innocent until proven guilty and i dont think cops should have the authority to kill anyone, even if theyre being threatened" everyone would look at me like im insane. like this sentiment of cops should be able to do whatever they want to "protect themselves" is just the regular common sentiment. like literally this guy said this and two of my other coworkers agreed with him. and not only do i have to just pretend thats a normal thing to say, everyone else AGREES THAT ITS NORMAL. i feel like im losing my mind sometimes man

its so fucking jarring working with some people. your coworkers will be really nice to you all the time then turn around and say some shit like "if officers have a warrant for someone they know is going to put up a fight, they should just kill them" and youre supposed to just act like thats a normal statement and continue working with them like normal
