OH CHROM IS VERY INTERESTING CUZ,,,,,he has a leader position & is a prince & has to think of so many people, but he also is very friendly and makes mistakes and does dumb things and despite all that he is so respected and the shepherds listen to him, and i think that’s ?? very good for gran to see too? a majority of gran’s canon interactions of people with leader of groups are strict military or law enforcer ones or short meetings with mayor’s of towns, so gran mostly see the Very Proper Leader-type. Which is good and all, but while gran is very friendly with their own crew and the like they still harbor insecurities regarding it all. they want to be able to be on good terms with their crew, and want them to lean on them, and want to fool around with them, but since a lot of organizations has such strict leader-ship it throws them off sometimes. (is that how they’re supposed to act?? is this what leaders are supposed to be like?? should gran become more like this?? etc.)

so being able to spend time with chrom and see how the two has some similarities in dealing with the people they lead is a huge relief for gran, and they definitely admire chrom a lot for doing so. it’s not something i imagine they’d necessarily talk about??? it’s just….very comforting for gran to see it happen.

also i think the potential interaction of gran going ‘im looking for a bluehaired girl:(’ and chrom going oh? my daughter? and gran just ‘no thats the wrong one’ and chrom, as a father, going ‘What Do You MEAN The WRONG One’ is just so funny ajsbdkbasjkd

ALSO……….like…the whole aspect of chrom fighting a war? gran’d fight risen no problem, they’d be VERY weirded out at first, but since they’re not people or living beings gran’d do it. the whole,,,war aspect of fighting people is something they’re still not comfy with though (even if they’ve been around war/rebellion before). they’re very aware sometimes violence is the only way, having had to forcefully quell a revolution and all, but it doesn’t Sit Right with them. so even when they don’t know how chrom feels towards it all, they’re very likely to feel for him through it all (since he’s a prince and Responsible for a country, unlike gran who’s only responsible for their crew). actually seeing villages get destroyed is very humbling, and gran, as a skyfarer, has helped with fights in countries, but they’ve never been there to Rebuild it. so, going through it all they just gain more and more respect for him as a leader for carrying all of it on his shoulders.

GRAN JUST REALLY REALLY RESPECTS CHROM A LOT FOR EVERYTHING HE DOES & GOES THROUGH their age diff isn’t That big but gran wants to become an Adult like chrom

also also let gran babysit chroms kiddos, they’d be a great babysitter and Would Not create a mess. definitely.

that said gran kinda genuinely likes kids, and they’re very childish too, so they’d def take the opportunity to chase the kids around.
