Victims of the circumstances in MLQC

All of the main characters were all victims of the circumstances in their life because of their evol. Whether it be a orchestrated murder or abuse, life is very unpredictable.

Mc- she was cruelly experimented just when she was a five year old because of her queen gene . No child she go through that. She lost her memories of her childhood for the first half of the game due to PTSD and her first meetings of the three boys ( Gavin met MC in high school). She was able to survive thanks to Kiro and her father. Later, two years before the events of the game, her dad dies in an accident, or was it really an accident? Unfortunately, it was a black swan member who orchestrated his death to make it seem life an accident such as the orphanage incident she was in, just he won’t get in their way. To make matters worse, he was her uncle, Uncle John. She was able to somewhat avenge her dad’s killer but it’s for self defense as it is alluded that Kiro as Helios killed him as Mc’s memories of that night were erased for her good. She was forced to see her friends suffering and felt helpless. Her life was flipped upside down by Black Swan. She was forced to see the dark future by her dark self and was had to be killed by Victor ( as she was asked to be killed like madoka asked to homura).

Gavin- He was abused emotionally as a kid by his own father. His father wasn’t a man, he was terrible person who cared for no one but himself. He viewed his kids nothing but as tools as NW stands for new weapons. He ignored him for not having evol and was even told it was his fault for having his own mother died in a fire accident. It is also heavily hinted that his father emotionally abused his mother). He would get beat up by students and he has no choice but to beat them as well due to his anger. It wasn’t he fault that he was forced to be born in a cold household but it just happen due to circumstances. However he still found his hope through Mc and her piano music did saved him from himself. He joined STF as a way to separate himself from his enstranged father but he found out Leto’s goals and he was forced to join his father’s plan to protect Mc.

Lucien- he suffered of losing his parents in a car accident on his birthday and it is hinted that black swan was responsible due to his IQ. He was expiremented as well and was giving a evol from black swan. He forgotten his old name and he couldn’t remember his parents’ faces. He became the top scientist of the world and one of the most important members of black swan, but was he really happy? His emotion growth was stunted due to black swan influences that emotions are weak. He first thought that was he wanted was human evolution accelation but in reality it was because black swan enforced it on him as he got older. But after meeting Mc as kids and later as adults, he slowly asked the big question on what he truly want. He betrayed her but for her sake and acting indifferent hurt him. When he thinks of her, his heart hurts and he also believed he deserved to suffer. After Mc’s death, the black queen took advantage of his emotional state. She happily told him that Mc is gone forever and along with black swan attempts to kill his hope, he understands his heart and truly understood what he truly want, to be with Mc forever. He resorted to hallugens and drugs just to hallucinate her. He shows he is self destructive as he never changed out of his shirt and taking drugs like an addict. He also had locked himself in her apartment to get a last traced of her color.

Kiro- he suffered a lot as a child. He was an orphan and was expiremented cruelly when he was very young. He met little Mc, and inspired him to be bright and cheerful as she was his light of hope. They were expiremented as a children together and were hand in hand. He wants Mc to be happy and believed she won’t loved him if he see his dark side as Helios. His insecurities get the best of him as Mc will loved him because she knows everyone has flaws and a dark side that is hidden.

Victor- he suffered from losing Mc as kids in the same orphanage experiment. He didn’t have that much friends due to feeling different from others due to evol and his privileged lifestyle . Little Mc often hangout with him and viewed him as big brother and he even saved her from a car accident as she was saving a cat. When he failed to saved her, he bargained a lot on how he could have saved her and regrets taking her friendship for granted. When he met her again as adults, he didn’t know that she was the same little girl from 17 years ago but had only a feeling it was her. He realized later at the end of ch 10 and became very protected of her but later gave her of space because she viewed as him as a superior and he waits until she is ready. He suffered again after realizing her queen destiny is inevitable and was forced to mercy kill her much to his tears like homura did to madoka.

Shaw- he also suffered abuse from his father but a bit lighter than his brother. He was a golden child to his good for nothing father. But after reality hits him hard, after seeing how cruel his father is and how he viewed him as a prized weapon. He starts doing illegal things such as graffiti as a way to defy his father and maybe to ruined his reputation as a high ranking general. In his first date, he says his artwork will get destroyed, hinting his self destructive and his suffering under his edgy mask. Though he isn’t on good terms of his brother, but maybe deep down he wants to make up with him. At least his old teacher at the antique shop was his real father figure than his biological one.

Adversity is what makes people strong and grow as a person. It takes a group of good friends to help you stand. Without the adversity of evol and black swan, Mc won’t be able to give the little push the boys needs to grow and their bonds together.
