it took him approximately 20 minutes to shed the hoodie had foolishly decided to wear for coming to his one-on-one practice today, long tossed on the floor before it was to be drenched in even more sweat than had already gotten on it. honestly, he would have shred his t-shirt too, but instead it's simply half on, anything to get more air circulation and going because he's sure he's never been more frustrated with a dance in his life. and he knew it'd be hard, he wasn't expecting it to be a walk in the park but-

"blooooody hell." he groans in frustrated, the chorus part tripping him up once more with all of the different steps and the levels combined. he shakes his head, hopefully from preventing another mention of the misstep he knows he's already committed, and the music stops. he's grateful, because at least he can gain some footing for himself once more.

he knows he's not the best dancer in the team-- he's not even close. minki, in a surprise to no one, was the lead of the dance line, but even then they were stacked when it came to people with technical experience it seemed. even the main vocalist was on the dance line. jasper wasn't bitter about this fact-- more so, it made him even more determined to make sure he didn't stick out like a sore thumb when it came to his moves.

back down has a bit of a different style when it compares to the rest of their discography, and it shows in each little mistake he commits.

"you rushed there, jas, let's try that part again."

he offers a nod, pushing hair back from his face, getting a little too long for his liking. so he gets in place again, right from his part on the prechorus, to have another go at it.

and another. and another. isolations had never been his strong suit. all the dance coaches said so. while he always gave a good attempt, it was a bit difficult to just... separate parts of his body. at least with his strength now, it had gotten a lot easier, and he could -feel- when he was off, much to his relief.

it's on the fifth time, his teeth gritted in determination, that it lands. and while the coach nods stiffly, he's still pausing the music. "good. let's make sure you've got it. you have to be a bit lighter on your feet, you see? that way you don't fall behind or trip yourself up."

jasper knows. he knows.

but he nods once more. "yeah, let's do it."

the coach makes him do it three more times, just to make sure he's got it in his body, before he finally allows them to move on. fuck, he's got a lot of work to do.

Okay, anon, not going to lie, when I first saw this ask, I thought you had accidentally sent it to me, and it was meant for someone else 🤣🤣🤣🙈🙈 Like - update something? Me? I do one-shots and occasionally one-shot series… Also, ttds? The hell is that? 

Then it dawned on me that, oh, I'm a total idiot 🤣🤣🤣 I'm still thinking about my Skimmons Hallmark Rom-Com as "Skimmons Hallmark Rom-Com," despite the fact that I named it "tis the damn season." So, ahahaha, thanks a lot for that reminder, dear anon, and also this is definitely what I'm going to be calling the damn fic from now on 🤣😍 

Now on to you question. When will I update? 

Uhhhh. Well, when did I post the first chapter, again? I have no sense of time anymore, you guys, it's terrible.

Ah yes, it was last Thursday (cue my brain going: really? Cannot believe 😱😱). I had initially planned out a weekly update schedule for this fic, but I... forgot... that last Thursday was Christmas Day. I also forgot that this Thursday is Old Year's Eve!! And honestly just... wtf, 2020.

Much as I'd like to, I can't realistically say I'll have time to post on either of those days (well, I definitely didn't have time this Thursday, and that doesn't spell too many good things for the next big celebration day, does it?) So the best answer I can give you, dear anon, is next Thursday - which would be, the 7th of January 2021. Blooooody hell, I can't BELIEVE I'm even typing that out!! 2021, ahhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHH.

But yeah! Hopefully I'll be able to post the next chapter for you guys then, and finally hold myself to my weekly schedule, so the fic will be finished just about as January finishes!

Blooooody hell, this is fantastic. I can’t stop re-reading it.

Beanotown is in an apocalyptic future where Gnasher has become some sort of werewolf monster and seems to have massacred Dennis’s entire family. Just as Dennis is about to be killed after getting his arm ripped off - Walter, of all people, saves him. It’s strangely emotional too. And the panel work is gorgeous.

Another little comic I made, this time a fusion between classic British anthology comic The Beano and the hit video game Bloodborne!

Proud of how this one turned out! The Beano was a big part of my childhood and I spend a lot of time thinking about the kinds of stories that were told in it…

Holy shit, weller has just… realised where Taylor’s body is buried and I am so horribly sad for him. He finally came to terms with his dad passing and getting close with him and I am so fucking sad. The flash backs of him as a child telling Tay he’s going to keep her safe :(

I will never recover from this, Mayfair is d e a d. I hate Oscar with the fiercest passion to ever live on this earth, how could he do that!!!! I am so sad for Jane I can’t believe she killed him. :( I am so so satisfied that he died but I am so emo that Jane was the one to kill him but for good reason and I am so glad she now knows why and how and ugh I can’t breathe how sad, how very bloody sad. I just can’t believe Oscar,I can’t believe I had the audacity to say that I loved him with his I love you bullshit!!!!!!! I hate pre amnesia Jane for letting this guy had this type of power ugh I hate pre amnesia Jane!!!!! She really wasn’t expecting to fall in love with kurt and to love Mayfair and her team the way she does and goddddd it’s so sad!!!!!!

Oh my goddddd I can’t breath, that scene between kurt and Jane in that end scene holy hell, you could literally feel the hurt and sadness Kurt was feeling, EVERYTHING WAS A LIE :( awww I wish she never pretended to have those memories, it could have all been explained away if she hadn’t pretended god I am so sad I am so sad. Those damn glassy eyes they make at each other where you can just see Jane wanting to reason with him but also being fully aware of how screwed she’s made the situation :( aww and when he handcuffed her the level and amount of hurt he has on his face!!! Ahhh

And they kissed too!!! Because they aren’t coworkers and it was a cute flirty kiss too, one of those really happy wow we’re so giddy and cute and, and he left that beautiful message for her on her phone good god this show has ripped my soul out in literally two episodes!!!!
