wanted a little writing practice on something short and sweet and ended up with a commentary on post-9/11 politics in the x-files universe why am I like this

#strongly believe 9/11 was one of the biggest reasons the x files ended when it did #christoph er cartier would have done 20 consecutive years if the network would have let him but with david half in half out #and gillian carrying the show and needing something else #9/11 was the perfect excuse to end when it did #ALSO MOSTLY BC THE SPINOFF THE LONE GUNMEN #never forget but also never fucking talk about it right??#we (America) CANNOT have a show on TV about Americans doing the bad things that Americans DEFINITELY DO NOT DO #like secret plots to destroy the government or tarnish American sovereignty
