Trying to get a belly laugh out of Ellie for the first time. LITERALLY MY HEART IS melting

You saw on some webpage or a book that once you see more of the smiles your baby gives you, you can pull a laugh out of them and eventually a belly laugh (yes this is true I did my research 😭)

So, Ellie being about 4-5 months old, you started to notice that she's been smiling more and trying to laugh like you and Aaron and Jack do and you immediately think that it's time to try and make your baby girl laugh 🥹

You and your little family sit down with Ellie in Aaron's arms trying to figure out what to do

Eventually you start brainstorming and the first time you pull that sweet giggle out of her is when Aaron lifted her slightly so his face was at level with her belly and he pressed kisses on it and blew raspberries (I think that's what it's called) making her squeak giggle and try to pry Aaron's head away at the same time

Aaron is ECSTATIC and you and Jack just stare in awe that a sound this cute came from her

And then comes the famous belly laugh

Aaron has Ellie against his chest, his large hand on her belly to prevent her from falling (that image made me scream I can't) and you're holding pieces of paper cause your mother told you that's how she got your first laugh. You start tearing it into pieces comedically slow, getting a few giggles out of your girl when eventually you rip a new piece and do it quickly, so not much sound was made

But it did for her. She had her first belly laugh and you SWEAR you saw tears in Aaron's eyes now that his baby girl was laughing. Hers, jack's and your laughter being his favourite sounds in the entire world

And of course Jack's all like "me too, me too!" tearing the paper quickly to pull a laugh out of his sister - which he successfully does - and it's now his favourite activity 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

The device that I usually draw on is currently unavailable to me at the moment 😭😭😭 so I haven’t been able to work on any of the art I have on my device 🥺🥺 After a good while of being bored and sad I couldn’t draw on my device…I soon realized…I can literally just draw on paper!!!! I probably should’ve realized it sooner but 😵‍💫😵‍💫 This actually hadn’t been my idea for my post though. I was going to do something really dumb and not at ALL OW related but I decided against it as the urge to draw Orlam overcame me pffft!

I actually didn’t want to draw Orlam because I wanted the first drawing that I share of Orlam to be a bit more special…but hey I hope this is special enough pfffft!! I have drawn Orlam before, I’ve just never really shared the drawing. The thing is, said drawing isn’t fully completed yet. I had an idea that I’m still working on and I wanted to wait until AFTER Art Fight to actually share it 😵‍💫 it’s nothing special but for some reason I sometimes convince myself that I can be humorous so I guess my little project is to test if other people think I am 😆😆 I’m going to try to note down every first I do on Tumblr so technically…this is my first time sharing a drawing of Orlam in his doodle form!!! Also my first time sharing traditional art so that’s a plus!!! 🤗

Literally could rant ALL DAY about Orlam but I’ll try not to pffft! “Contract Business Consultant and Entrepreneur” HELLO???? Like ORLAM LEVELED UP!!!! This is supposed to be a compliment to Orlam like IM LOWKEY PROUD????? If you give me like the timid, punching bag kind of character, I will ALWAYS be by their side until the end. chuckles and hums as he watches you jump from wall to wall, with only an occassional "watch where you're goin' , kid!"

literally the type to watch you set the manor on fire and just shake his head like "kids these days smh"

when (or better, if) you crash after your burst of energy, he's here to put you on his shoulders and carry you

michi is very caring and motherly, but she, obviously, has her boundaries

always worried you might seriously hurt yourself as you partake in some classic tomfoolery (read: wreaking havoc upon the mere mortals of the manor) so she always keeps a first aid kit around

also keeps snacks and water by her side for when you get hungry/thirsty from all that jumping 😎

as much as she loves kids she CANNOT keep up with you, watching you jump for too long will give her motion sickness😭

just the mere thought of being that energetic makes her sweat

usually when she's taking care of you she just sits amidst the chaos you're causing and knits or something

also not one of the hunters who takes care of kids

he spends most of his time in solace, working on his research and writing scripts

...so he's not fond of socialising in general, let alone babysitting

you might as well climb onto him like he's a tree and he wouldn't even flinch😭

as he's nonverbal (for the most part) he can't do much other than look over you and occasionally halt you from going overboard by tapping your hand or holding your shoulder

all that stems from good intentions, though. he doesn't want a child to get hurt and although it's hard for him to process emotions and empathy now, he knows that what he's doing is the right thing
