Bruh your explanations are all over the place. first you go out your way to tell ppl that they are entirely wrong in their understanding of belos (underneath someone's art work and completely unprompted let's not forget) and then you backtrack when people call you out by claiming you misworded things.
You misworded things but then u continued to reiterate the same 'misworded' defense of belos over and over again in several different replies? Several separate people explained to you how what you were saying wasn't right but you skipped over all of it just to claim that none of it matters in the first place because it's all fictional. And then you claim that you know Belos is a terrible person and that his actions can't be excused.. but then u go on to excuse him by saying that he was abused himself and that he's from the 1600s and doesn't know better?? Those are not explanations those are,, literally,, excuses,,
And then on here you say you see him as normal bc of your own experiences (which I'm sorry to hear) but honestly you are just backpedaling on everything you came in saying with such fervor in the first place. As you said, you're 18, you're old enough to own up to your own opinions that you willingly choose to put online. You should know that if you go out of your way to get someone's attention by replying to their artwork disagreeing with their drawing(?!) that you're going to get people going out of their way to explain to you why the concerning and inflammatory things you said are not okay.
I think you have far more awareness of the malice and danger behind characters like Belos than you act like you do, I think you just don't care. It is so beyond fine to stan a villain, so many people do it. Just, for the love of everything, own up to it! If you're gonna have an entire discord about loving a villain then at least,, admit that he's,, a villain. That means not erasing the parts of his character that you see as too cruel or unlikeable. Either you like him in all of his abusive and witch-hunting glory or you're trying to make something out of him that he's not. And if that's the way you want to play it then stop commenting on other people's creations that you don't even like in the first place.
I know hes a villian. just, like ive mentioned in the reply to my reply, I didnt know some of those things, WERE abuse. and i didnt mention the verbal abuse bc i thought it wouldnt be taken seriously/laughed off jsut like its been irl to me. the reason i "back pedaled" is bc thats how it was. i first tried to explain how i saw from ym pov of someone who had no clue how serious it was/that it was abuse. I explained that one or two of my replies had been pisworded, such as that hunter wasnt abused. what i meant was that we havent seen him be hit. still, an awful take and i'll admit to that. then when someone in teh quote retweets, the only person who wasnt laughing at me or insulting me, asked me if my family situation was ok, bc this stuff isnt ok, then after some talking i realised, that it wasnt just, hunter stans egaxxerating. This was another type of years of abuse that ive normalised. Similarly with hunter not being allowed of the tower. I wasnt allowed out of the hosue aside from school or unless i went shopping with my mom in my teen years. and i agree. it was shitty of me to reply abt their art. I was og just commenting about the like, title?? thingy? that went along with it. then i for some reason commented on teh art. which was very shitty of me to do. Also you know you couldve just DMed me right? my dms are open.

We’ve gone from Self-Isolation to Quarantine and in some places to gradual relaxation phases, but that doesn’t stop the need for more nonsense you can watch on youtube while you wait for things to get back to normal. And recommending things and making lists are some of my favourite things to do but I have not yet figured out how to start or structure a video myself, you guys get another rambling tumblr post of things you can watch on youtube.
This time I’m once again just gonna recommend individual videos rather than full channels like I did in part 2.
Part 1
Part 2
In no particular order;
LOCAL58: The Broadcast Station that Manipulates You
I recently started watching the Nexpo channel when I went on a binge of creepy youtube videos. Most of his videos are really good although the ones where he himself goes into theory crafting can be a little asinine. However, this video is REALLY good. And before you get nervous, LOCAL58 is not a real TV station. LOCAL58 is a youtube channel created by the same guy behind the Candle Cove creepypasta. This video by Nexpo covers the various episodes of LOCAL58 and discusses them. Just be aware going in that this is abstract horror, and will probably get under your skin regardless if you’re unaffected by certain topics or not. although cw for suicide mention.
I also recommend most of the rest of this channel, although be careful where you tread. I don’t recommend his series “Disturbing things from around the internet” as it can sometimes include real life crime, abuse and such caught on security cameras. Everything else is really good tho. (although I was really annoyed by his 2 videos on KrainaGrzybowTV)
The Search for D.B. Cooper
LEMMiNO has a new video out covering one of the most unexplained crimes in the past century of the US. LEMMiNO is the guy I’ve recommended before who did videos on the Universal S. He is very down to earth and not someone prone to conspiracy or even really that fanciful of thinking. (He’s like the one person I feel covered the Dyaltov Pass incident and was confused by why this was even a mystery because if you read the Russian Autopsy reports and documents associated with the case it’s all pretty logical and easily explained)
D.B. Cooper is the name given to a man who, in 1971, hijacked an airplane with a bomb, asked for a large sum of money, and after receiving it, parachuted from the plane and was never seen or heard from again.
The Austrian Wine Poisoning | Down the Rabbit Hole
Down the Rabbit Hole also has a new video out, this time covering the Austrian Wine Poisoning event from 1985. A scandal that involved literally the entire country of Austria, affected multiple countries, and forever changed the way wine was made world wide. As someone who is generally pretty allergic to most artificial substances this one made me personally very angry. But luckily, it has a happy ending and a better world for us all... if I could drink wine which I can’t do anyway.
The Turbulent Tale of Yandere Dev - A Six Year Struggle
The Right Opinion is another channel I only recently subbed to after watching his cover on Onion Boy. I put off subbing to him simply because of his channel name and I thought it meant he would come across as smug and elitist. Luckily this seems to merely be one of those “I chose a bad channel name and now I’m stuck with it” type of situations. (IHE has a similar problem).
Anyway, I have a weird interest in bizarre internet personalities, so I’ve been enjoying his channel as he simply discusses and presents a timeline of events of certain individuals. In this video, he covers the developer behind the much maligned Yandere Simulator. It’s a tale of hubris, arrogance, immaturity, and an unwillingness to accept your own shortcomings due to ego.
Oh and there’s a meme game about Japanese school girls with anime tiddies in there as well.
The Most Relaxing Anime Ever Made | Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō
Kenny Lauderdale is a youtube channel which is slowly becoming bigger which I’m very happy to see. He exclusively covers anime and live action Japanese television no younger than the mid 90s (as is the case with YYK) and which usually never saw a release outside of Japanese Laserdisc. I do wish his videos were a little longer, but if nothing else his videos serve as an excellent starting to point to find some older and underappreciated shows... or hot garbage fires. In this episode he talks about the 2 OVA episodes made based on one of my favourite manga, Yokohama Shopping Log. A Post apocalyptic anime about an android who runs a coffee shop outside of her house, and the quiet solitude of living in a world of declining human population, brief encounters with travelers and other people, and just... existing. The anime was never released outside of Japan and is only available on Japanese VHS and laserdisc.... but hey guess what!! Somebody uploaded both episodes, subbed, to Youtube.

YMS’ slow descent into madness as he uncovers just how bullshit the Kimba Conspiracy is
I’m linking a full playlist for this one.
YMS is busy planning his review on the “live action” Lion King remake as the original 1994 movie is probably his favourite movie all time (and also self declared what made him a furry). As part of the 2 hour review, he decided to what all 2000 hours of Kimba the White Lion just to mention how The Lion King potentially stole the idea. ....until he actually watched all 2000 hours of Kimba and realised that if you actually WATCH Kimba, it has VERY little to do with the Lion King at all apart from having the same animals in them because AFRICA. Watch as one man slowly loses his mind as he realises just how stupid this conspiracy theory is, just HOW DECEITFUL and straight up LYING people can be. People who write BOOKS. People who teach LAW AT UNIVERSITIES. Because NOBODY bothered to actually watch the entire show and just parroted the “Disney stole this” lie which got started by like 2 salty fans on the internet.
The man set out to just mention how Disney stole an idea, and uncovered one of the most infuriating rabbit holes on the internet. Screaming for SOMEONE to provide him with sources or evidence.
YMS will be publishing his full Kimba documentary this month which he has said is around 2 hours long before he continues to work on the Lion King one.
Science Stories: Loch Ness eDNA results, Poop Knives, and Skeleton Lovers
TREY the Explainer has a video giving us some updates in Archeology from 2019. In this video he discusses the findings of the eDNA results conducted on the Loch Ness to see what animal DNA the lake contains which will tell us what living animals currently inhabit the lake, ancient knives made of poop and if this is a real thing that could have existed, and a skeleton couple found buried together which were at first thought to be lovers, then revealed to be both male, and then how in this instance we cannot let our modern sensibilities dictate what we WANT this burial find to be, but to look at the evidence as presented to us and place in context finds of this nature. The worst thing an archaeologist can do is look for proof to a theory they already have.
The Bizarre Modern Reality of Sonic the Hedgehog
Super Eyepatch Wolf is back and he’s here to talk to us about the very very strange existence of Sonic. a 90s rebellious “too cool for School” answer to Mario, a lost idea as the world of video games changes and culture shifted, a meme and punching bag amplified by a unique fanbase and poor quality games, a transcendence into a horrific warped idea of what he once was, and modern day and where Sonic and his fans are now. As usual Super Eyepatch Wolf knocks it out of the park.
Kokoro Wish and the Birth of a Multiverse: A Lecture on the Work of Jennifer Diane Reitz
I don’t even sub to this channel as I’m not entirely sure what Ben’s usual content is about. But every now and then he has a “101″ class, where he explains to a room full of his friends in a classroom setting (complete with Whiteboard) an internet artist and oddity, the timeline, and what it is they have created. (wait... didn’t I say this already?). Unlike TRO however, the 101 classrooms are not a dark look into disturbed individuals (although the CWC 101 is debatable) nor is it a “lol look at this weirdo” dragging. Instead, of the 3 he’s done so far, it’s usually a rather sympathetic look at some of the strange artists on the internet who through some way or another, left a very big cultural impact on the internet space through their art. Sometimes they may not be the best people, but their work is so outside of what we’re used to seeing that just listening to him run you through these people’s internet history is fascinating.
In this episode he talks about Jennifer Diane Reitz. And although it is titled Kokoro Wish, the lecture is more about Jennifer’s larger work back in the early internet when being a weeb was unheard of, how being trans influenced her stories and characters, and her world building that is so rich and in-depth with it’s own ASTRO PHYSICS it puts any modern fictional world found in games or movies to shame.
Jennifer is not exactly a nice person... and in many ways can be seen as dangerously irresponsible, but she created something truly unique in a way that you kinda struggle figuring out if it’s terrible or a work of genius.
Anyway I think that’s enough for now

Some Sunny Day - Ch. 12: The Ancient Power (Gravity Falls - Same Coin Theory)
Summary: We’ve seen how Stan remembers. Now: how Bill forgets.
Warnings: none

Previous / Next
The Beginning
(The Same Coin Theory is by @dubsdeedubs and @renmorris!)
***
It was when he first encountered the Axolotl — eons and eons ago, while giving the more obscure and least comprehensible corners of the multiverse a quick look-over as he often did when bored — that Bill Cipher first realized that there was someone who knew and saw more than he did.
It wasn’t a pleasant realization. He was the All-Seeing, All-Knowing Eye; omniscience was his brand. He was the ancient, elusive god of mysteries and answers — and, on good days, brief little glimpses into the future.
(Not that he often acted on those glimpses — they tended to be about things he either couldn’t change, or didn’t want to change — but dropping cryptic warnings into conversations with mortals was always fun, as well as a good way to remind them who was really the brains of the operation.)
But the Axolotl existed outside of time entirely. It had already seen what was yet to come to pass — it had seen it last night, and a century ago, and would see it fifteen million years down the line. It was seeing it now, and seeing it always: if Bill could occasionally switch the metaphorical channel of his sight from “present time” to “five hours in the future,” then the Axolotl was constantly watching every channel, every second and millisecond and nanosecond of existence and so on to an infinitesimal degree. It not only knew everything, but had always known everything and always would.
And Bill hated that.
“This only upsets you because you fear the unknown,” the Axolotl told him, its voice echoing like Bill’s own, but also more pleasant on the ears, more musical.
“Psssh, yeah! Right!” Bill scoffed. “Do I look like I have anything to be afraid of, Frills? I’m the incorporeal king of nightmares and my throne is built from intangible screams of mortal terror! Fear is — is breakfast for me! Serve me up all the fear in the world!”
The Axolotl tilted its head. “Deny it if you must,” it replied, “but your actions will tell another story.”
“Oh, so we’re playing the cryptic remarks card now? Well, I’ve got nothing left to gain from this conversation.” With that, Bill willed himself out of the time and space between time and space, leaving behind a triangle-shaped ripple in the fabric of the universe.
But in his haste, he failed to notice the Axolotl’s massive tail curling around five human figures, all of them shrouded in pink mist as they watched his exit intently.
***
It was during his second encounter with the Axolotl, somewhere in the realm of a million years later, when Bill Cipher was warned.
“One day,” it told him, “you’ll be so afraid of the inevitable unknown that you’ll beg me for help, and I will help you.”
“I’m not afraid,” Bill blurted out immediately, cringing as he realized how much he sounded like a naive little kid pleading his case to stay up late and be told spooky stories.
The Axolotl kept talking, as if it hadn’t heard him. “But it won’t be a free pass onto a new life of your choosing. It will be a catalyst for an unimaginable change, and the start of a long, hard path — but I know you will have it in you to succeed.”
“I don’t need you to believe in me like some proud, overinvested parent,” Bill shot back, making a show out of straightening his top hat and bow tie. “Do I look like a guy who has problems with self-confidence?”
The Axolotl just smiled at him, with its big, smug, frill-wreathed face.
“Invoke my name, Cipher, and time itself will contort to bring you back from the ashes.”
Once again, Bill willed himself back to the Nightmare Realm without noticing the five figures — not even the one that stood further forward than the others, the one that had first stared at Bill slack-jawed and dumbfounded, but now straightened his back with a confident, imposing sort of determination, and curled his fingers into fists.
***
Bill rifled through Ford’s memories — high school bullies, college all-nighters, a fiercely regretted discovery of a cave in the woods of Gravity Falls — as simply as one might flip through the pages of a book, scoffing at the man’s loneliness and need for validation. But Bill already knew all about that — it was what he’d preyed upon, how he’d gotten his portal built in the first place. No, tonight he was looking not for a general weakness, but for some specific memory, something he could purposely throw back in the six-fingered freak’s face later —
But now, he was struck with a wave of… familiarity?
A hand reaching to mess up a head of brown hair.
“Don’t listen to them, Sixer. I think you’re pretty cool!”
A knock on the leg of a bunk bed.
“Morning, smart guy!”
A reassuring hand on the shoulder.
“You heard it here first, Stanford Pines is gonna be known as the guy who changed the world!”
Switched outfits, a striped shirt in place of a brown jacket.
“Okay, Brainiac, today I’m gonna teach you how to lie…”
Bill withdrew from Ford’s memories with a jolt — not quite angrily, not quite sadly, but driven by something fierce and consuming, some feeling that he wasn’t used to and wanted to be rid of as fast as he could. Wrenching Ford’s body out of its slumber, he flipped through a journal with shaky hands and just so happened to notice a code he’d scrawled a few nights ago —
I ASK YOU WHY MUST TIME ONLY MOVE FORWARDS
WHY MUST CAUSE PRECEDE EFFECT
WHO VOTED ON THE LAWS OF PHYSICS
***
The third time he encountered the Axolotl, Bill Cipher was trying to save himself, but ended up killing himself in more ways than one.
Blue-white flames consumed walls from the ground up, and transformed exit doors into impassable infernos. Bill had practically forgotten what hot truly felt like, but he knew this was worse than anything he’d ever felt before — it was eating away at his very essence, suffocating his own flames and threatening to choke out everything that made him him.
Stanley’s mouth moved, but the voice felt like it was coming from inside Bill’s own mind, words spat through gritted teeth threatening to rip apart his consciousness.
“You’re a real wise guy, but you made one fatal mistake. You messed with my family!”
“You’re making a mistake, I’ll give you anything! Money! Fame! Riches! Infinite power, your own galaxy!!”
He was struck with a sudden vision — a static-corrupted and not quite real-time clip of a triangular statue resting in a forest, dark beneath the shadows of pine trees even as bright afternoon light spilled down from the blue summer sky above.
“PLEASE! HELP! WHAT’S HAPPENING TO ME?!”
In a panic, he fumbled after the last few sparks left in his draining pool of energy, trying to channel them into his form and grow big enough to smash right out of Stan’s strangely well-disguised mortal mindscape, but his body melted and struck the floor almost instantly, only growing more unstable and difficult to hold together by the second — and seconds were all he had left.
Invoke my name, Cipher.
“NRUTER YAM I TAHT REWOP TNEICNA EHT EKOVNI I!”
And time itself will contort to bring you back from the ashes.
“NRUB OT EMOC SAH EMIT YM L-T-O-L-O-X-A!”
Stan pulled back his fist, winding up for a punch, and time slowed to a crawl. Blue flames froze in place, and the frenzied roar of a collapsing mindscape faded to a drawn-out, agonized groan before at last giving way to silence.
Then the scene began to fade as Bill found himself paralyzed, helplessly watching pink mist seep into the room. The fires grew dim, all colors turning pastel and all clarity lost to a clouded blur, until all he could see were pink cumulus clouds drifting carelessly across a blue, star-speckled sky.
(He was thrust back to the independent demises of a million different civilizations across billions of years, but he hardly heard the screams as he found himself in a flat world, a gray world, a despised yet fiercely missed world where he struggled to leaf through an oversized book that spoke of Points and Lines and Spheres and colors…)
Two beady black eyes opened in front of him, and a familiar head emerged from the clouds with a satisfied smile on its face.
“I see you invoked my name,” the Axolotl said, a hint of smugness dripping from its melodic voice. “So you do fear what lies beyond death.”
“Ya got me, Frills!” Bill shouted, hoping that sheer volume would be enough to disguise how much he was shaking. “You really did! I panicked and I invoked you, so — so what’s the fuckin’ catch already?”
“Catch?” the Axolotl asked innocently, gills twitching.
“That shtick you gave me last time about a ‘hard path! I know how you work, Frills — you’re not gonna let me go without some lesson as punishment — so have at it already! Dump me into whatever new existence you’ve decided I deserve, and get it over with!”
The Axolotl frowned. “You misunderstand, Cipher. It’s not about what you deserve.”
“Then what the fuck is it supposed to be about?!” Bill could feel the fire rising up in the core of his essence once again, about to rupture him beyond any hope of repair, but he kept shouting. He couldn’t stop. “WHY DID I EVEN INVOKE —”
“It’s about where you’ve got the potential to change,” someone interrupted, and for a moment, Bill thought that the Axolotl’s voice had inexplicably grown low and gruff, abruptly developing a Jersey accent as it spoke with a quiet confidence —
But then a flicker of motion towards the Axolotl’s tail caught his attention, and finally, he noticed the five familiar figures — less bruised and battered than he’d last seen them, yet still impossible to mistake. Four of them stood in a straight line, Pine Tree and Shooting Star close together and flanked by Question Mark and Sixer, while in front of them…
In front of them was the Pines that Bill had always paid the least attention to — the one he’d never had a nickname for. With tousled gray hair and and a plain white shirt, Stan looked unassuming and out-of-place here at the fringes of the multiverse, but his narrowed eyes took in the scene exactly like they had seen it all before, bright golden sparks of recognition dancing within brown irises.
“It’s not about what you deserve because you don’t deserve anything, Bill,” he calmly explained. “You don’t deserve to live in the first place. But about six decades later, in your future…”
He took a deep breath, and recalled from Bill’s perspective that his family was currently smiling at him from behind his back, proud and encouraging as ever.
So Stan smiled too.
“I will.”
“No,” Bill stammered. “Are you — are you saying that you’re me? ‘Cause I’m nothing like you! There’s no way I’ll become you, I’ll —”
Stan snorted and extended a hand in Bill’s direction, palm facing up as blue flames danced across it. “Man, we’ve always both been good at lying to ourselves, haven’t we?”
For the first time in nearly a trillion years, Bill Cipher felt the physical sensation of a chill running through him.
What had he ever truly been if not a con man? If not a stubborn, scheming scam artist?
“But hey, you’re half-right!” Stan went on. “You’re becoming me and there’s nothing you can do about it —”
He made a fist, and the flames were instantly extinguished. “But I’m definitely nothing like you.”
“You — you — you can’t light your hands on fire and seriously believe that!” Bill sputtered. “If you really are me in the future, then you’re the one lying to yourself if you think you’re anything other than a ticking time bomb! You’re still gonna be Bill Cipher forever, buddy, and you show it whether you know it or not!”
Stan directed his gaze towards the clouds below, biting his lip. A ways behind him, Dipper started to step forwards, but Ford gently rested a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.
“It’s almost hilarious how bad you are at playing the hero! All you’re good at is lying and stealing — oh, and ruining and destroying things too, can’t forget that! You know, I never got why you were so obsessed with turning the portal back on to save someone who hated you so much — but all this time it was just a favor for your past self, wasn’t it? Kickstarting the apocalypse for an old pal! We want the same things, you and I — no matter how incompetent you are at actually getting them!”
Stan’s fists trembled at his sides, but he still didn’t look up.
“But don’t worry, ‘cause your pathetic existence is gonna come to an end real soon!” Bill cackled, rubbing his hands together with glee. “You don’t have to pretend to be these dumbasses’ family anymore — we’ve pulled off the perfect con, you and I! We’ve got a physical form all set up in your dimension and no one’s standing in our way — no quantum destabilizers, no memory guns, no zodiacs! You can rule the world again now — you WILL rule the world again, whether you think you want it or not!”
“That’s all?”
Bill’s delirious laughter cut off abruptly. “What?”
“That’s your whole argument,” Stan murmured, a hint of a smile beginning to develop on his face.
“You’ve got some good points about me ruining everything,” he went on slowly, “and I think I believed it, for a while — I think I believed it before I remembered, even. I never thought I was good for anything, and part of me never believed it whenever anyone told me I was a hero…”
His head snapped up, and Bill flinched when their eyes met.
“But I know something about myself that you don’t.”
“Wh-what?”
“I know that you offered me money, fame, riches, infinite power, my own galaxy, and I didn’t understand how anyone could choose that over their family. I still don’t — and talking to you now, seeing what an egotistical little shit I used to be and how much I’ve changed since — now, I’m sure that I’ll never understand again. I’m better than you, Bill, and I always will be.”
“But — but don’t you remember all the fun we had? We could have that again! Don’t you want —”
“I remember plenty,” Stan growled, “but torturing people isn’t fun. Killing people isn’t fun. Those things are going to keep me up at night for the rest of my life, and I don’t want either of them ever again.”
“No, no, no! You’re wrong! I’ll always —” The heat inside Bill was intensifying, making it harder to hold his form together, but he wasn’t going to let this happen, couldn’t let this happen, had to remind his future self who he was before he forgot everything —
His gaze landed on Ford, watching the argument with eyes that looked tinted red from recent tears.
“Sixer, you can’t possibly believe this! You’re just gonna trust him — trust me — and let us burn you again? You of all people musta let us stab your back more than enough times to get tired of it, right?!”
Stan hid it quickly, but he cringed a little at that line, and shot a nervous glance to Ford, who closed his eyes and took in a slow, deep breath.
“By choosing to be reborn, all you’ve done is ensure that you’ll die more definitively, more completely, than if you had simply been destroyed,” Ford stated. “You could have just been gone — but now, you’ve been changed. You’ve been replaced.”
“No! You can’t get rid of me that easy! I’ll —”
“Oh, yes,” Ford growled. “You will become the antithesis of everything you once were, to the extent that you will even erase your own legacy. You’ll be the one to reverse your own apocalypse, to protect the family you tormented…”
His voice cracked. “And you — you’ll be the one who teaches me to trust again, after all the time you spent isolating me and driving me to paranoia. I don’t trust you, Bill, but I trust my brother — because there is a world of difference between the two of you. You destroy senselessly, but he protects us. He’s helped heal the wounds that you’ve caused.”
“I’ll never really leave your side, Stanford! Is that what you want? No matter what you tell yourself, you know you’ll never be able to really let your guard down around your brother again —”
“The era in which I let you manipulate me into distrusting my friends and family has long since ended, Bill,” Ford shot back without flinching. “You left my side long ago.”
“You really think that I can change? Me? Bill Cipher?!”
“I do,” Ford answered. “It may be a stretch to call my brother mature, in any sense of the word, but he’s most certainly more mature than you. He has changed for the better — in a way that does not often tend to revert.”
“Yeah, you want to know why time is so meaningless?” Stan added. “It’s ‘cause I grew up more in sixty-two years than you did in a trillion. You’ve been around for too many eons to count, but you’re still just a selfish little brat who’s obsessed with playing puppet master.”
“NO!” Bill shrieked. “I won’t become you! I WON’T! I am Bill Cipher, and SO ARE YOU, YOU HEAR ME?! The person you call Stan is — is — is NONEXISTENT!”
“Oh, I hear your whiny little screams in the back of my head all the fucking time,” Stan spat. “Telling me I’m a shit person, telling me I don’t deserve my family, telling me everything I think of myself as being is a lie. Telling me I’m just going to turn into a demon again, and the one good thing I’ve done in my life is going to end up being less than worthless…”
Columns of blue flame erupted from his hands, and he stepped towards Bill, teeth bared. “But you’re an even bigger liar than I am.”
“You — no, we could have ANYTHING! Power without limitations, minions to obey our every order, revenge on anyone who’s ever wronged us! BUT YOU CHOOSE TO BE STANLEY? YOU CHOOSE TO BE MEANINGLESS?”
“I hate to break it to you, wise guy, but you’re already doomed.” Stan took another step closer. “You’re going to be meaningless soon. Everything you think of yourself as standing for is gonna fade away, and all you’re gonna be is just another one of my memories.”
“And memories,” Ford added, “will never take away my brother — not by their absence, and certainly not by their presence.”
Stan’s hands curled into fists, and the columns of fire wound themselves around his fingers, solidifying into shining golden knuckledusters engulfed in a crackling blue aura.
“Hey, Bill?” he asked, smiling innocently.
Bill let out a whimper.
“Will you please say hello, to the folks that I know? Tell them I won’t be long?”
Two scenes play out overlaid upon one another, blurring together into the same decisive, time-defying moment as the burning of Stan’s mindscape resumes from where it left off. Two versions of Stanley Pines swing at Bill — one standing unflinchingly before a backdrop of flames about to consume him, the other channeling a reawoken fire of his own into his resolute, superhuman punch, but both sharing an absolute confidence in what will happen next.
And what happens next for Bill Cipher, as their fists collide with him, is excruciating pain.
The blow from the mindscape is blistering hot with vengeance, the weight of a tremendous but unregretted sacrifice behind it. It’s the love and compassion of a selfless protector that fans the oxygen to these white-hot flames, that fuels Stan’s particular stubborn brand of heroism against which no demon can possibly stand.
This one’s for my family.
The blow from the time and space between time and space is metallic and colder and spiteful in an intimately personal way, as Bill watches his own flames punch a hole in his body — but these flames, this fist, they’re bolstered by a family’s returned love and kindness that brings Stan back from the ashes but doesn’t just stop there. The weight behind the punch is as much Ford and Mabel and Dipper and Soos as it is Stan; it’s their stubbornness and refusal to give up on the good they know they see in their hero, it’s the trust they place in him and foundations for a trust in oneself that they’ve planted for Stan to rebuild upon.
It is fueled by a fresh spark of something new, something defiant, burning deep within Stan’s chest — an ember glowing faintly at first, but holding the potential to become a roaring blaze of self-confidence, of self-acceptance, even self-love.
And this one’s for me.
The punches shatter Bill with ease, eclipsing his own power by countless orders of magnitude, and his fragments scatter, cast adrift in spacetime. Yet a long, pink and blue-finned tail sifts through the fabric of the universe, curling protectively around the shards of a consciousness as it collects them together once again and then carries them back to where it all began…
The sunny New Jersey day of June 15th, 1951, where an all-seeing eye closes, two human ones open, and Bill Cipher forgets.
***
The flames around Stan’s hands died down, and the Axolotl, who had spent most of the confrontation watching from a distance, drifted up to face him.
“Why were you doing in the fishtank all those years?” Stan blurted out.
“Now, there is a limit to how completely I can be somewhere,” the Axolotl told him, “a limit to how much of myself I can manifest in the spacetime that you all are capable of perceiving. But to answer your question, Stan… to the greatest extent that I could, I just wanted to make sure that you wouldn’t be too lonely for those thirty years.”
Stan rubbed his eyes. “You’re such a — a sentimental old salamander. You know that, Frills?”
“An eternally young salamander, actually,” the Axolotl corrected him teasingly, with a gleam in its eyes. “Was there anything else you wanted to ask me?”
“We had another question when we came here, but…” Stan wiped away a few tears, and took a deep breath. “But I know the answer now.”
“I thought so.” The Axolotl beamed. “I have a few messages for you all as well. First of all, Ford — Jheselbraum has asked me to say hello. She says that she’s proud of how you fared in the Mindscape… and that she’d like to visit your dimension sometime, which I think could be arranged.”
Ford blinked a few times in owlish confusion, but then a smile spread across his face. “Tell her… tell her I’m immensely grateful for her help, and that I’d love to see her again sometime — and I’m sure the kids would love to meet her, too.”
The Axolotl nodded. “And Stan, one last thing. You invoked me in the clearing as you were beginning to remember, and I heard you, but I did not reply. That was because there was nothing for me to do. You asked me to stop Cipher, but he had no need to be stopped — though you understand that now, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” Stan answered, giving up on wiping away his tears as his voice grew choked-up. “Thanks, Axolotl. For everything.”
He turned around to face his family, and spread out his arms. “And thanks for not letting me go.”
The kids were the first to run towards him, and he lifted them up and hugged them tight. Soos quickly followed, wrapping his arms around all of them as he buried his head into Stan’s left shoulder while sobbing with joy.
Ford was the last to join the embrace, but may have hugged the tightest and most fiercely of all of them — not letting go even as the stars and clouds of the Axolotl’s dimension faded away, replaced with sunbeams and trees and a familiar old swingset.
“Thanks for staying with us, Stanley.”

pssst reread the beginning of chapter six and you might notice a few familiar lines, I’ve been plotting this scene for a while ;)
This writing experience has been a hell of a journey, and now it’s finally coming to a close! I’ll save my big mushy ramble for the end of next chapter, but I’m getting sentimental over it already.
But although the end of this fic is nigh, that’s not the end of this specific continuity — I’ve got a few different ideas for sequels (as well as potentially prequels and deleted scenes!) to write once I finish with Some Sunny Day itself, so keep an eye on the series for those! Jheselbraum’s visit will probably be one such sequel, since it doesn’t quite fit into the final chapter I have planned but would feel like a waste not to expand upon.

People say life teaches you the hardest lessons of all and you shoudl learn from those lessons. (insert qupte herer) However, I feel that it isn't life teaching you it is you, you tech yourself these things because they're your experiences and only you can decide how you feel and how you want to live your life. Yes, these are always outside influences. Up the unlimited decisions are always made.by you and you're the one who has to live with said decisions. No one else I the world knows what you want and no one else but you knows how you feel. So why shouldn't the person who is with yo the most by the one who lobes you the most? Life is full of old but I feel the most important love one should feel is the love for themselves. How much you love yourself depends on how you perceive yourself and who you think you are. If you base your self perception on the feelings of others you'll always be unsure of who you are because you are differ t and hold different meanings for different people. Your mother sees a different person than your best friend and you teacher may know more about you than the. Other combined but only you know who you all. Who you are is. On prized of all these things, it is the whole picture not just the pieces taken by different people.
A lot of this perception takes place in our own minds because how we see ourselves is reflected in all of our actions, someone who feels poorly about themselves may nto stand as straight or walk with a certain swager as soemone else who is confident in themselves. And in today's world with the ever constant attack on your girls in the media I find it more difficult to find girls who can honestly say they lvoe themselves and take pride in how intelligent, beautiful, and witty they are. If you ask a woman if they are aware of their beauty they shy away and find 50 things ":wrong" with themselves within twenty seconds because they have a list in their heads of their flaws. It is alwyas there when we're out buying clothes or watching a movie there is a pressure to look, act, and dress adn certian way to be considered attractive. Go to the store and pick up a tabloid and i gaurentee you'll see it plastered everywhere of "how to loose weiht, makeup tips to look better, and hwo to get/please a man." We are tarught that it is our goal to confomr to what the male gaze desrires fom us adn become that no matter how unrealistic. I vividly rememebr thinking if i read all the magazines and dress like them and looked like them aht boys owuld like me and i would be completley happy with every aspect of my life. Thankfully that never happened because I am a different person nwo and how I fel about myself is how every girl/woman shold feel about herself and that is loved. Every woman should love herself for all that shee is because all the media we see isn't real and none of it will ever make you happy with yourself. The media is made that way to make you spend money trying to look like these women who are photoshopped or diet and starve themelves in order to look the wway they do. It is a vicious cycle but it is on ethat can be broken. So that little girls don't grow up and skip meals because it'll make tem prettier. So they grow up to be women who own thier bodies prudly and aren't afraid to say "yes, i am beautiful.". I love body positivity and sein women lvoe thier bodesi no matter how much hair, fat, or stretch marks they have on them. I also love seing women complimenting each other instead of competing to be the prettiest in the room to gain male attention. There is so much propoganda tearing women down that it is empowring and heatwarming to see them wake up and shun the idea that they should be anythin other than what they are. That they should o to extremes to "fit in". Quit frankyl if you don't love yourself of rall that you are you will never be happy ith how you look there will alwyas be somethin ot be fixed. As soon as oyu stop lookin on the ouside for balidatio your life will imporve and your confidence wil improve because if you build youself up with the compliments from men thier criticisms will tear you down. So you become your own bricks abd rebuild yourself and your self image to one taht you like. So you take a look inside yourself and hwo you are to amke taht person better and make thsat person one who loves themelf.
I am so adament about htis because I was trapped in the world of pandering to the male gze and constnaly fhanign my appreacne to get them to like me which nveer worked or bsing my self confience on how others saw me and i was miserable. I was depressed, suicidial, and quite frankly i ahted myself and my body image. I still struggle with my body image because it has been engraved into my brain dn way of thiking of hwo i hsould look adn i have to stop myself form thinmkin gthat way. I am admaent about his becaue i wasted years of my life and destroyed my body for a peive of mind i never got. I am a recovering annorexic and although it has been four years since i "quit" it has never left me. It is an ever looming shadow on my life because it is a constant thing when you have it. I was always counting calories and doing anything not to eat to avoid gaining weight. I exercised excessivly and i remember almost passing out at every workout session i would go to because i hadn't eaten htat day. I had a system of going three days without eating and on the third day maintaing a one-thousand calorie limit. It was toture but i was losing weiht and i gauged the weight by how easily you could see my bones. I pradiesd myself everytime i could see them a little bit more. I cursed myself whenever I did eat on the third day calling myself names like fat, worthless, and weak. Not only di di curse myself i punished myself for eating so much with mroe exercise or waiting an extra day to eat. I thin that was the biggest struglle of all, eating. Every bite felt like i was getting fatter and it was as trule ot force myself to eat a single bite. Every swallow felt like it was stuck in my throat and like i should go vomit ot keep it from getting ot my stomach. it was an awful feeling in multiple asy but mainly becase i love food i love eating and tastin things but i oculdn't llow myself the one htin i lvoed. An incidnet i had where i felt the weakest were When my mother made my favorite mamwhich which i love to death but i couldn't brin myself to eat it even though th esmell was intoxicating. So i went o bed with no dinner that night to get up in the morning and get ready for shcool. I wasso desperate for it i got a spoon adn just tastd it. It was loruious they savyory and salty i even chewed it a little bit but i could not le tmyself swallow it. So i we tot eh sink and spat it out and even went as far as to wsh ti task out my mouth because i couldn't even swallow that it woud be cheating. It was constant and thw rost part was i ot compliments on ym weiht loss. The compliments pushed me to continue even further because i knew it was working. I thrived off of the compliment sbecause it meant my heard work was paying off. Adn you don't get that kind ofprasie from reovery you get digusted looks like " you really let youserlf go". Or irls would be nasty in school like the usually are and i heard comment on haw faat i've gotten and horrible giggles from these gaggles of girls. Recovery is one of ht e toughtest things I ever had to go through and i had to go through it alone because no one knew about it. I coudn't let anyone know about my anorexica and peopel to this day don't know abut it because i kpeti tso well hidden. Although my eatin habits are back and i'm at a normal weigh tnow i still feel the thoughts creep up on me. i still ahe htoughts of "wow you're fat" and i have to tell myelf "yes, i have fat but i'm happy and fat is not a negative thing ot be. Fat is not a person or a noun it is an adjective to describe something and shoudn't define my entie person and how i fel abiout myself. i have fat and taht is kay and the more i accept that the happier i am with myself and the tiem i spent worryign about hwo i looked turned into learnign about why i felt that way and learnig more about myself and the wordl aroudn em. In the years since my recovery I have become mroe eduacted and acepting and aware of the world around me and I feel better for it. I feel mroe empathethic adn it gives me hope fora brihter future where i can be even better than the prson taht i am nw. I always want to learnadn grow ad I hope to ive that experince to someon eelse via my time in college and far after. I want ot encourage women to love themselves and every part of them becaue they desreve to. Because no one should have to go through what i went thorugh and because these girls are worth much mre than thier measurments. They are doctors htey are mothers they are terachers and daughters firefighers senators and presidnets. Women are amazing and capable creatures who deserve to feel some self love and that is not soomething life will teach you. that is something you ahve to teaf. to love yousrelf deeply and with no bounds. The love the should feel for thiemselves should equal the ones they read about in reomance novels unconditional. It took some a long time to get where I am in loving self and who I am and I even falter sometimes when I overheard mean comments and I start to think badly of myself. I have to physically and mentally stop myself and dispute whatever it is that was said about me because I can't let myself jnternalize it. If I internalize it Nd take their opinion a truth I begin to be,I e it and become self deprecating. And now that I am in a better place i still see. Y peers whose still I the negative space that I was in and I even hear my mother and sister picking at their bodies and h Ow they wish they were different or skinnier. And I want to explain how it is a via thing to search for and to try to be. Skinny and healthy do no correlate nor does skinny and happy. It is a long process to love yourself. It is a daily regime of stopping negTive behaviors and correcting them. Small comments like oh I'm so fat or I couldnstandtk lose weight wear your self sped teem. It's about stopping yourself from those thoughts and placing them with I'm amazing and wonderful. Another thing is a denoting compliments 9/10 women will deny any compliments as if they aren't true but accepting them is accepting yourself and agreeing that ueah I am cute or adorable or whatever it is. I never wit any girls to go through the struggle that I went through especially. Yniece. These little things these Mir agrees ions add up over time and really affect how you see yourself and it starts at a young age. Children can be cruel especially she it comes to weight and Eve. Adults are cruel. I remember as a child it was a joke in the family how fat I was but it really stuck with me as I grew up that this I show people see me and bow people see me matters. And I've learned that it doesn't that it is how I see myself and how I h

Coming Back For You - Brett Talbot Imagine (Teen Wolf)
Prompt: Can you do a Brett imagine where ym the reader is like a gypsy physic and the pack go to her with Brett trying to figure out more about the dread doctors and Brett can't help but come back just to see her and all this fluff and what not
A/N: Changed the gypsy part to a normal visionary, because the other one was too inappropriate, sorry. It took me quiet a while to finish this Imagine because I found it really hard to come up with something. I must admit that the ending is not the best and I'm not 100% happy with it, but I hope you still like it! Thanks for the request and for reading :)
I had seen them coming. Right before the 'Dread Doctors' were an official danger for the supernatural world in Beacon Hills, I had seen them coming. Now they were here and it was too late to do something against them. They were already bringing mischief and chaos into this place and indiscriminatedly killing teenagers.
Even though I knew that they were coming I absolutely had no chance stopping them, because they were too strong and smart for me to handle. Also because I wasn't strong enough or had any kind of superpowers. The only thing I was able to do was to predict and dream of things that were coming up in the future, a feature I had inherited from my mother. A lot of people knew about my gift and made fun of me, especially in High School. I didn't have many friends because of that and was often spending my free periods and breaks alone in the library, reading books about the supernatural world. I was really interested in that topic and also knew about the werewolves and other living creatures of the supernatural world in Beacon Hills.
Today was one of those days where I was sitting in the library by myself, spending my free period with a book about supernatural myths. I was so focused on the book that I didn't even notice anyone walk up to me and stand in front of me. So when they spoke, it nearly gave me a heartattack. ''Hey, you're (Y/N) right?'' The voice said, causing me to jump out of my skin and drop the book in my hands to the ground.
I instantly put my hand on my beating heart and closed my eyes. ''Please don't ever do this again,'' I responded before opening my eyes. I was met with many pairs of eyes all of them were starring at me while guilt was washing over their faces. ''Sorry we didn't meant to scare you like that.'' A blue-eyed boy apologized. ''Don't worry, I was just reading...'' I responded, examining the group of people standing in front of me.
I recognized them. It was a group of seniors and a few sophomores who were known as the 'popular kids'. Almost all of them were in the Lacrosse team, one of them, Scott Mccall, even the captain of the team and known as one of the best players of the school. I also knew that he was a werewolf, not even a werewolf though, he was a true alpha and leader of the pack that was now standing infront of me. The guy who was talking to me though, was not a part of the Lacrosse team of BHH and he didn't even go to our school. Still, I knew who he was. Brett Talbot. Part of Satomis Pack, who was one of the oldest werewolf alphas to ever exist, and member of the Devenford Prep Lacrosse team.
I was surprised they were talking to me, because I always thought they didn't knew who I was let alone knew I even exist. ''Reading about the supernatural?'' Brett asked with a little smirk on his face. ''Y-yeah. I might be a little too interessted in that topic.'' I responded with a shy smile as I picked the book up and laid it in on the table infront of me. ''I'm Brett,'' He introduced himself a little smile on his face.
I nodded. ''I know who you are. I'm a visionary, remember?'' I laughed. ''So the rumours are actually true?'' Stiles Stilinski, the only human of the pack, asked. ''Yeah. It's not something that I chose to become but I can't do anything against it now. Anyway, how can I help you?'' I asked the pack and Brett who were still starring at me as if I was something they've never seen before, even though they were the supernatural ones.
''Well we wanted to ask you for a favor,'' Scott said while walking towards me. ''Sure. What is it that I can help you with?'' I looked back at him with a curious glance. ''Well.. this is gonna sound a little strange, but do you know anything about a trio called the Dread Doctors? We thought that you might know them, maybe from your visions or something? We couldn't figure out a lot by ourselves so we thought this might be the best idea,'' Scott explained, rubbing his neck sheepishly.
It was silent for a moment and the whole pack was now focusing on me. ''Yeah, I've heard about them. They were a part of my visions right before everything started to get so complicated and messed up. First I thought they might be coming in the future, but then I've heard about the dead bodies and knew they were already here. I know I should have said something but I knew nobody would believe me.'' I said while biting my lower lip.
''We believe you, (Y/N). You need to help us figure out who they are and what they want before there'll be more dead teenagers in Beacon Hills.'' Scott said with a worry in his voice. He and the pack were looking at me with expectful expressions on their faces, Brett even looking a bit worried. I nodded. ''Yeah, I can do that. I'll help you.'' I replied immediately, giving Scott and the others a smile. I knew helping them was the right thing, especially because they might have the power to stop them. Relief washed over Scott's face and he approached me, hugging me quickly. My eyes widened in shock at first, because I wasn't expecting that, but then I hugged him back. ''Thank you so much, (Y/N). Seriously, thank you.'' He said.
I scratched my neck sheepishly and laughed. ''It's okay. So what is it that you want to know about them?'' I asked looking at the pack. ''Everything, actually.'' Stiles responded with a crooked smile on his face. I nodded. ''Okay. What do you guys know about them already?'' I asked. ''Not much. Only that they're killing teenagers in a very violent way. We don't know what they want or why they're even here. Deaton, who knows a lot about the supernatural couldn't help us either. Since they came to Beacon Hills everything is different about this place and the people. We don't know what to do.'' Scott explained, looking really frustrated.
''I don't know much about them either,'' I said while closing my eyes. It helped me to concentrate on my visions. ''But I can tell you that they're really strong and very very smart. They are trying to create something. Something dangerous,'' I continued.
My eyes were still closed and I could now see the Dread Doctors infront of me, working on a new experiment - another innocent teenager. I heard loud screams and saw a lot of blood pouring out of that boys body. I opened my eyes instantely, letting out a heavy breath. ''Hey, are you okay? You don't have to do this, if it's too much for you. I'm sure we can figure something else out.'' Brett said with a worry in his voice, putting his hand on one of my shoulders. ''No, I'm fine. Don't worry about me.'' I smiled. ''It's just really hard seeing teenagers bleeding out right infront of you and not being able to help them, because you know it's just a prediction.'' I said looking at him.
''Don't say that. You're helping us and you're heping them just by telling us about your visions, about everything you know, alright? Stop doubting yourself (Y/N).'' Brett half-smiled at me, his hand still on my shoulder. His touch caused flutters in my stomach and I pinched my eyebrows at that feeling. I didn't had feelings for him, right? ''Well,'' I said after a pause of silence. ''Do you guys want to know what I saw?'' I asked, looking at everyone but Brett. ''Yeah, that's why we're here. Remember?'' Stiles said sarcastically.
''Yeah,'' I laughed. I told them everything I knew about the Dread Doctors. Everything I've seen so far in any of my visions or dreams, about their plans and their intentions. I told them that Scott and his pack might be the ones who could actually stop them and that I would be there for them whenever they needed me.
After that they all thanked me and said their goodbyes, making their way back to their classes. I was left all by myself again. I sat back at the table and opened the book, intending to read it. But I couldn't focus on any of the words nor was I able to concentrate on the content of the book.
I frustratedly threw it away and sighed. Why couldn't I stop thinking about Brett? The moment he had touched me I felt something inside of me I never had before and I was somewhat confused. How could I have feelings for him or like him when I barely knew him?
''What did the book do to you to deserve that kind of treatment?'' A familiar voice asked, chuckling. I looked up from the table and was met with Brett's beautiful face. I mentally slapped my forehead. Stop being like that, (Y/N). He's a werwolf, why would he want to be with someone like you? ''Oh, hey Brett. What are you doing here?'' I forced a smile and looked at him.
He shrugged. ''I don't have any classes here, as you know.'' He grinned. ''Yeah, because you're not at this school.'' I said, watching his movements. He walked over to one of the bookshelves and grabbed a random book. ''I thought maybe reading a book would help skipping some time as I'm waiting for Liam and Mason for some videogame sessions after school.'' Brett sat down on the seat next to me and opened the book, pretending to read it. I raised my eyebrows at him. ''I didn't know you and Liam were friends,'' I said, still looking at him. ''and I also didn't know thamt you were interessted in the story of japanese tea.'' I laughed at the book in his hands.
Brett closed the book and looked at the cover. He blushed when he saw the cover and put the book away. ''Fine, you caught me.'' He said looking at me. ''I didn't came back to read a book. I came back because of you,'' He confessed. I looked at him with wide eyes. ''Why would you come back for me?'' I asked, confused.
''Because I was worried about you, okay? After hearing what you told us about the Dread Doctors, I knew I couldn't leave you alone. Not after helping us. I knew I needed to protect you.'' He grabbed both of my hands and linked them with his. I looked at him, a smile on my face.
''You came back for me? Why would you do that?'' I asked. Brett put a string of hair out of my face and put it behind my ear. ''I like you (Y/N). It's stupid because we just met, but when I saw you I knew I needed to get to know you.'' He said with a soft voice. ''You like me?'' I starred into his green eyes. ''I do,'' He bit his lower lip. ''I might even love you, (Y/N).'' He starred back into my eyes. We were looking at each other like were about to kiss.
''I like you too you know,'' I whispered. ''But I just don't understand why you would ever like someone like me,'' I continued. ''I don't have heigthened senses, super strength or super speed. I will never be as-'' Brett interrupted my rambling by leaning in and pressing his lips to mine. It was just a simple kiss, nothing heated, but still I felt my whole body fill with electricty the moment he had kissed me. We both pulled away from the kiss and opened our eyes. ''You kissed me,'' I stated. ''Why?'' Brett played with my hair and put his hand on my cheek.
''I don't care that you're not able to do the things that I can,'' He smiled. ''I like you for who you are, (Y/N). You're cute and I just can't resist starring at you. Who cares if you're a werwolf or a visionary, huh? It doesn't matter to me,'' He continued. ''But you do. You matter to me, (Y/N). So don't ever start doubting yourself okay? Because I think you're amazing the way you are.'' I felt my cheeks heating up and changing their colour into a shade of red. Brett laughed. ''God, you're so cute.'' Before he could say anything else, I put my hands on each side of his face and crashed my lips to his. He instantely put his arms around my waist, while my hands ran through his perfect hair. My heart was beating faster the longer we were kissing each other, and I knew Brett had heard it everytime.
He smiled into the kiss before he pulled away, his forhead still leaning against mine. ''Wow,'' I breathed, looking into his eyes. ''Your heartbeat increased the longer we kissed,'' Brett declared. I nodded. ''I like you too, Brett Talbot. I might even love you somehow.'' I whispered. Brett smiled and wrapped his arms around me.
I leaned my head against his chest and inhaled his scent. He smelled so good. ''Just going back to take care of her, alright.'' A voice broke us from the hug. Brett looked up and rolled his eyes when he saw Liam and Mason standing at the edge of the library, a smirk on both of their faces.
''Get lost, boys.'' Brett snapped, making me giggle. ''We'll be waiting oustide,'' Mason said the smirk still on his face. He grabbed Liam's arm and pulled him out of the library. ''Sorry about that.'' Brett rubbed his neck sheepishly. ''I forgot that we wanted to hang out today.'' He explained, giving me an apologetic look. I shook my head. ''No, don't be sorry. Go and hang around with your friends,'' I reached for his hand. ''We can continue this next time.'' I smirked and kissed his lips softly. He nodded and kissed me back.
''This sounds like a great plan.'' He responded with a big smile on his face. ''Call me, okay?'' He said before kissing my forehead and handing me a sheet of paper with his phonenumber. I nodded and waved him, before he disappeared. I looked after him a smile on my face. Thank god, he came back for me; I thought before leaving the library to head to my last class for the day.
The End.

aww she sounds cute :’( having a crush on a straight girl is,,,, not the Worst thing ever but it rlly is unfair
My crush is a year older than jm, sje has dark brown hair and eyes and she'sfar taller than me. She's a walking talking meme (like me) and a cosplayer and whenever I message her Ialways use a very Bad pick up line. She is a sucker for it. Ah! She also plays the piano and she's very good at it! And her voice is like the best baritone voice that I've ever heard (for a girl at least)! MUSIC COUPLE FOREVA WHEEEEE~
PLEASE tell me you’re dating lmao in any case if she likes your bad pickup lines then she’s so into you i love this
Omg I just remembered how I got my best friend into kpop! I just send her a pic of yoongi AND SHE WAS GONE!!!! She talked non stop about him like the cute little baby she is (honestly i know NO ONE who's cuter than her I know her since she's born she's the cutest and softest and prettiest baby ever i swear) she even named her fishes yoongi and jimin BUT JIMIN ATE YOONGI LMAO I'm honestly so proud of myself for showing bts to her she adores them so much
JIMIN ATE YOONGI IS THIS A SIGN jdnkjnefjknd im jk “she's the cutest and softest and prettiest baby ever i swear” bye that’s adorable
i once had this crush on my roommate, i thought she was straight but then she came out to me and said that she has a gf and thats ok w me, the problem was shes always naked when she comes back to our room after taking a bath(this culd be ff material)
omg if you want her to stop then tell her it makes you uncomfortable but,,,,, if you don’t want her to stop then LMAO
my crush is basically jimin. he reminds me of jimin so much- short, looks similar (even the eye smile and laugh), energetic and caring to everyone. and um. not to b conceited but one of the reasons i love ym so much is i relate to yg a Lot so it freaked me out when i realised ym interactions are so similar to ours. when we were in high school he sat in front of me in class and he wld turn to glance like 20 times in 1 hr (yea i counted) but everytime i make eye contact he’d whip his head back and act like nth happened. he’d just… like hover? Around but when i look at him he dashes off. once he happned to sit next to me while i was drawing and it seemed like he was sleeping so i didn’t look, but after abt an hour i looked up to check the time. he almost slammed his head on the table i.. he was staring at me the whole time.. anw the thing was tht everytime he talked to me i end up being blunt and kinda.. ignoring him cos feelings scare me + when i try to talk to him he suddenly seems in a hurry to get away.. were in the same college now. we saw each other a few times but didnt approach. ystd i happened to walk the same way as him. i decided to say hi,,he asked me what im studying then ran off after i answered. it’s still the same. sry if this got long ive never gotten a chance to rly talk abt my crush .///.
ooooh god i don’t know anything about stuff like this but it sounds like your being blunt kinda scared him off ?? from this alone he seems like the type you need to be gentle with so idk if you want to be close to him but if you do i’d suggest you keep making the first move and don’t ignore him like before so that he isn’t this shy around you anymore ,,, or maybe you just wanted to vent lmao w/e happens with this guy i wish you both the best !!
My crush amazing blue eyes and black hair. When she plays with her dog it brings out the prettiest smile. She liked me back (i didnt know she was bi too) at some point we started dating. She had complete control over my emotions i thought i was starting to fall in love until she broke up with me. It was awful. after months I still can't get over her. She started talking to me again but we're not together. We're just not meant to be I think :) I'd just like to meet her one day that would be enough
no!!!! don’t talk to her !!! take this from experience, i think the best way to get over someone is to get rid of them until you’re 100% ready to bring them back into your life again, as friends,,, even if it takes months she should understand but if you can’t do that then i just hope you get over her asap so that you can go back to being friends :’)
I actually denied that I kind of have a crush on this one guy that I met through another friend and I still do deny it because he's only into Asian girls and I'm Islander so it could never happen but honestly he's really funny and I don't feel all that awkward around him but there's no way he'd go for me. My friends, including the one I met him through, kinda ship us but I could never tell him because I'm the farthest from his type there could ever be tbh lmao
ohh hopefully he isn’t that shallow not to disregard a potential r/s just because you aren't asian but i GUESS it’s understandable if he’s asian too n it’s a family/cultural thing ?? i get the ‘denying your crush’ thing though askjdnjsjgkj hang in there hun it won’t last forever :’(
my crush has red hair and she's tall and gorgeous, we match so well, i know she likes girls too but im scared to try something. i was at hers today, and we ate brigadeiro and watched sense8 ahhh
THIS IS CUTE i'm not gonna force you to go for it but i hope one day It happens and you start dating ♡
I made out with my crush once while super high and then he helped me pee and that's about how romantic my story with my crush is 👋🏻
Who Said Chivalry is Dead
Are we still talking about this crush thing? Because lemme tell you a story. I once had this crush (years ago). He is now my best friend's boyfriend. Lol tbh I'm not bothered but I keep laughing at how freaking cliche this is, it just seems like it came out of a fiction on wattpad. Most recent crush tho, well, he nearly accidentally killed me and my friend. Let's just say I no longer have a crush lmao. But compare my stories about my crush to others make me laugh. THE CONTRAST.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE NEARLY ACCIDENTALLY KILLED YOU COME BACK AND ELABORATE

Chapter 1: Alice Got Hot
FP Jones was just putting on his jean vest when he heard the familiar sound of Fred Andrew’s van pulling up to his family’s trailer. Before he could even finish getting ready, Fred was already through the front door and collapsed onto his bed.
“Don’t be so fussy FP,” he said, as FP flipped up the collar of his vest.. “It’s the first day of summer before we graduate and we have a lot of living to do before high school is done.”
FP shrugged as he laced up his boots. Sometimes he couldn’t imagine how he and Fred ever became friends. FP was born into a family that had been on the Southside for generations. He was hardened to the bone and he didn’t share Fred’s enthusiasm. Typically, people who come from a broken home didn’t tend to fare too well.
Fred couldn’t really understand him. His family moved to the North side of Riverdale just before his freshman year. The very definition of a nuclear family, Fred came from a good home with loving parents and enough money to get him an old van for his 16th birthday. Soon after starting Riverdale High, Fred got into one fight that landed him on the Riverdale chain gang, as they call it, picking up trash near Sweetwater River. That’s when FP, no stranger to delinquency, met him for the first time. For Fred, their friendship was fated. They bonded instantly, despite Fred’s optimistic outlook on life. Fred liked to tell FP it balanced out FP’s generally gloomy demeanor.
As FP grabbed his house keys and made his way out of his bedroom he heard a long whistle leave Fred’s lips. He turned around and saw Fred staring out the window. “Man, Have you seen Alice Smith? She got hot.”
“Loud-mouthed, mousy Alice Smith?.” FP quickly joined Fred at the window. “I didn’t even know she was back.” To his surprise, Alice had indeed gotten hot. His eyes slowly moved over her body as she jumped out of her dad’s car, swinging a duffel bag behind her. In the year since FP had seen her last, Alice seemed to have matured. Her hips were wider and she had filled out. Her shaved head was now full of brown hair that fell down her back. She was definitely not the gangly girl he had grown up with. Before FP could avert his eyes, Alice raised her head and looked straight at him
------
“Take a photo—it’ll last longer, idiots,” Alice yelled, ignoring her father’s scowl. She had only been back for 20 minutes and she already felt stifled. Not that living in Greendale with her aunt was better. That house was so strict that Alice had actually looked forward to finally coming home, but she wasn’t prepared for what being home meant. All she knew was that she wanted to spend this summer with Maia before they went their separate ways.
She imagined nights full of parties and dancing under the stars. Alice just wanted one perfect summer with her best friend Maia, before everything changed.
“Maia,” Alice said in surprise as she entered her bedroom. “How did you even get in here?” She tossed her bag into the corner and jumped on the bed next Maia, trying to hide the smile that spread across her face.
“Please, how many years have we known each other? I am a master at sneaking into your house by now,” she laughed. “Don’t try to hide your excitement from me, girl. I know living in your aunt’s puritanical house was hell. For one thing, you couldn’t see fabulous me for weeks.” Maia flipped through the pages of a YM she’d taken from her neighbor’s before tossing it on the floor.
Maia and Alice had been inseparable since they were six years old. Some of the other neighborhood kids had been picking on Alice on the way home from school one day, when a tiny afroed girl came out of nowhere. Just as Mustang was about to push Alice down, Maia had gone up to him, half his size, and hit him square in the face. Since then Alice had always admired Maia’s fearless nature, even when it got them into trouble. Even so, despite the consequences, Alice wouldn’t trade her for anything.
“Alice, I—oh, hi Maia,” Mr. Smith spared her a passing glance. “Your mother is going to be late so she won’t be at dinner.” Alice gave him a look of acknowledgement before signaling for him to get out.
“I’ve got plans for Alice tonight anyway, Mr. S,” Maia said with a mischievous grin. “Don’t worry, I won’t keep her out any later than usual.”
Mr. Smith turned slightly red before leaving the room. He had decided it wasn’t worth his energy to deal with those two, and at any rate he hoped Alice wouldn’t be friends with Maia much longer. He had no idea why his daughter had tied herself to that nobody of a girl. Being stuck living on the Southside was one of his biggest failings, and he couldn’t accept that anyone like Maia could be so proud of living in this dump.
“Plans for me?” Alice asked curiously.
“Yeah, it was supposed to be a surprise but the Whyte Wyrm agreed to host a welcome back party,” Maia told her. “We missed you. This place wasn’t the same without our Angry Alice,” Maia teased . Alice rolled her eyes. She hated that nickname, but she also couldn’t dispute it. Her generally loud and aggressive demeanor was well known.
“And now that your boobs have finally come in, tonight is the night you can get yourself a serpent in training for the summer.”
Maia squawked as Alice pushed her off the bed before going went to her closet to look for something to wear to her surprise party. As if reading her mind, Maia produced the bag she’d brought and unzipped it with a flourish.
“We both know you have nothing to wear to match your new...assets. So, I brought some of my clothes over for you to try on.” Maia pulled out an impressive array of clothes on the bed, giving Alice time to look over each piece.
“I want you to have the welcome back you deserve, so leave the outfit to me,” Maia said as she pulled out a dress and opened her makeup caboodle.
------
It was dusk when Alice and Maia made their way to the Whyte Wyrm.
“Now remember, act surprised,” Maia said, walking a few steps in front of her. They’d spent the entire day perfecting their looks for the party. Maia had convinced Alice to go out in a dress more revealing than she’d usually wear, but she couldn’t deny she felt powerful in it. It felt like the beginning of a perfect night.
Alice saw a face quickly appear in the window of the Whyte Wyrm before the lights turned off. Maia stepped inside first before Alice crossed the threshold to a loud “Surprise!” from all inside. While Alice smirked at them, looking around the room coolly, she couldn’t help her heart from melting at the sight. She hadn’t realized how much she missed this place before being gone for an entire year. This was the first time today she felt truly welcomed back. Her dad couldn’t seem to care less that she was back and her mom didn’t even try to get off work on time. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, it had stung. She pushed those thoughts aside as she made her way around the room.
Michelle, Jimena, and Angela were in a group, as always. They each gave her a brief hug, complimenting her on growing her hair out and catching her up on everything she missed. Apparently, Michelle’s boyfriend had finally been made into a full Serpent, while Jimena and Angela were planning to go to New York for the summer. At her side, Maia handed Alice a cup while she continued her tour through the room. As she greeted everyone in the room she couldn’t help but feeling as though someone was watching her. Out of the corner of her eye, leaning against the wall with a beer dangling from his fingers, was FP Jones. Their eyes met and immediately she froze, her smile turning briefly into a scowl.
Alice and FP’s history wasn’t the greatest. He had been apart of Mustang’s group in school and Alice did her best to kept her distance, but it wasn’t easy when Fred always wanted to hang around Maia.
“Earth to Alice.” Maia was waving her hand in front of Alice’s face. “I get you’re making the rounds, but you’ve been so quiet since you’ve gotten back. You didn’t even tell me about your year in Greendale. We also need to plan our class schedules for next year.” At the mention of school Alice’s expression tightened.
“Can’t we do all that later? Tonight, I just want to enjoy being back.” She took another sip of her drink as Fred approached, with FP trailing behind.
“Maia, looking great as always,” Fred said, sliding next to her. Maia’s head rolled back with a smile.
“Fred, you’re cute for a white boy, but haven’t we been down this road before? In fact, every summer.”
“Well, it is the season,” Fred said as he put his arm around her. “Why don’t we talk about it while I grab you a refill.” Alice watched as the two of them shuffled off in the direction of the bar and out the door.
“Angry Alice. Back from the dead,” FP said.
“Fuckup Jones,” she retorted, pointing a finger at his face. “I see you’re attempting to grow facial hair.” FP shook his head and reached a hand toward her hips. He opened his mouth to say something just as Alice grabbed his wrist. “I suggest if you don’t want to lose that hand, you’ll keep it to yourself.”
FP dropped his hand and shook his head again. “Still as fiery as ever I see.” He sounded more amused than annoyed. Alice let out a small chuckle, standing there examining him. She wasn’t sure why FP was still hanging around, since he and Fred were attached at the hip, but she found she didn’t mind it as much as she had before.
Alice heard the jukebox kick on as the crowd erupted. FP offered his hand to Alice. “Let me be the first to welcome you back with a dance.”
She reluctantly agreed and joined him on the dance floor. As she danced with him, she noticed he was watching her closely. She felt her heartbeat quickening.
Then out of nowhere, Rick appeared and tapped FP on the shoulder. “It’s time,” Rick grunted, motioning to the back room.
FP nodded, leaning down to Alice’s ear. “Thanks for the dance, but I have to go.” Alice nodded wordlessly and watched as he and Rick sauntered off. She knew FP had been doing odd jobs for the Serpents, but maybe he was finally going to get his leather jacket this summer.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Maia joined her on the floor, her deep brown skin glistening. “How was that refill?” Alice asked.
Maia just laughed and pulled Alice closer. “Well, you know how it is, Fred is just such a sweet talker.”
As the next song came on, Alice tried to clear her thoughts and focus on this night. This was the first day of summer after all—no need to worry about things that weren’t going to matter for months.
Right, Alice thought. Nothing is changing. Not yet.

She recently switched insurance companies and they issued a check under both of our name since the insurance was under both names due to the title. ""By about how much will insurance increase, sedan vs. sports car?""
I am 20 years old currently and drive a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. I was considering purchasing a 2000ish model Chevy Camaro Z28 (5.7L v8) and was curious perhaps by how much my insurance will go up. I know obviously that no one can give an accurate guess as to how much since there are numerous factors involved, but just based on my current insurance I thought perhaps someone might be able to guess what the price on the insurance might be. I am currently on my Uncle's insurance plan, and if I bought the vehicle, would transfer the deed to him so as to retain the benefit of his insurance. I pay about 50$ a month for liability for my car due to his insuring many cars currently. I know this is very cheap for one my age, so I thought the camaro insurance might not be bad still. Anyway based on 50$ a month for liability on my 2002 cavalier, any guesses as to what a 2000ish camaro might run me for insurance? (Both liability and comprehensive if you'd like.) I know I can find out for sure by having my uncle call his insurance, but I just wondered if I might get a ballpark estimate before I approach him about it.""

What do you think about life insurance? Do you have it? Details below.?
My dad got life insurance 10 yeras ago, and now the price of the premium has increased 8 times more than what we were paying. Since his 10 years of life insurance at the affordable rate has expired, I'm thinking of asking him to renew it, but we were paying at such an affordable price. But he doesn't want life insurance and doesn't seem to care about protecting the family in case of his death. But I'm wondering, is life insurance that is something really worth it? My dad is a healthy individual. And even if we pay, would the premium have gotten up? My add is over 50, and I'm wondering if our premium will double even though if they check his health again. What do you think?""

What are my health insurance options as a student?
I'm 22 years old and a full-time student at a California State university. Last month and without warning, my dad cut me off of his company's insurance and is refusing to put me back on because he claims we have no relationship and he essentially wanted to be spiteful as he has done since my parents divorced. My question is this: Can he even legally do this? As a full-time student, isn't it my right to be covered by his insurance? I can't get any insurance through my mother as she is unemployed. Because I'm pulling 19 units at school, I can't take on a full-time job to get health insurance. So what are my options? Is there a way to force my dad to put me back under his plan? If not, what should I do? I'm confused and scared because just over a month ago, I had to go to the ER because I broke my nose. Two days later was when my dad cut my insurance. Now I don't even know if that ER visit was covered because he didn't warn me before he cut me off. If someone could please help me figure out what to do in this situation, I would be very grateful!""

Where can i get less expensive car insurance for an 18 year old student with a 2000 mustang?
Well this may sound like a long shot, but I just recently bought my son a 2000 Ford Mustang, Now its insurance time, hes 18, gets A's in school and has had drivers ed. Why do the quotes from Progressive and esurance estimate its going to cost nearly $500 a month, even with a 1990 honda junker it still cost nearly $400 do these prices seem reasonable, i can't recall them being that high, when i first got insurance, thanks.""

Best auto insurance company for young adults?
So after working hard in college and multiple internships, I am going to graduate college in three years and best of all, managed to score an incredible job with Boeing aerospace division in this toilet of an economy. I even managed to use most of my savings to buy an apartment. However, after all this, I realized I was missing a crucial thing. A car(i live far from work). I only drove in my highschool years, so I am completely oblivious when it comes to insurance rates and what not. So my questions are as follow: 1.Is it better to have an older car or newer car as far as premium amounts go? I used to fix cars with another mechanic, so im not worried about an older car breaking down. 2. I am 20 years old, in your experience, what company is the best for young adults? I have no criminal records and no accidents from my highschool years. 3. How much insurance should I buy? In other words, should i just buy coverage for the other person if i hit someone, or should I buy coverage for my own car as well? 4. Just generally, in what range should I expect to pay? Just curious, I have to get it whether I like it or not. 5. Finally, any good tips on bartering with the insurance company to get a lower premium? You dont have to answer all the questions, feel free to just answer one, any help is appreciated!""

When will my car insurance go down?
About 2 years ago, I was in one heck of an accident. Everyone in my car passed out, and the other car was basically fine, so police only went off their story. And they're not going to say it was their fault I assume. Police report says it was my fault, but i don't know. Stuck me in a coma for a while :P I had a severe traumatic brain injury too. So all in all, I don't drive because my mom doesn't want me to pay much for car insurance. I've heard different numbers, but the cheapest quote I've heard is $300 a month! I'm actually going on an LDS mission for two years, and won't be driving until it's done. So about March of 2016. Will my car insurance go down at all in that time? I will turn 21 in June of 2016 too

How much (on average) does it cost to get insured?
I have been doing side cleaning for some friends and family so of course I'm not insured or bonded. But I can make anywhere from $50-$80 for less then 2 hours of work. I started working PT at a cleaning company so that I could get more experience (and a little more pay) and learn a bit about the business. Of course what I'm learning is that instead of making the full $50-$80 for my services I'm making only 20% and the rest of course goes to the company! I feel I can do much better on my own and really want to work towards that so I know my best bet is to get insurance and bonding. Roughly what is the premium for it? I guess I wouldn't need to be insured for no more then $25,000 -$50,000. And are bonding and insurance liability fees seperate?? Any help would be appreciated. thanks""

Is the issue access to good health insurance or is it access to good healthcare?
Ok first order of business I know how the whole health care issue is being made into this big complicated monstrosity. I would llike to get people's input on this and maybe some insight into better understanding a way ahead. First let me say that my question is not based on politics I'm not representing democrats or republicans as a matter of fact politics and money is what is frustrating me with this entire health care issue. I hear about all of this debating and I want to ask what is the real issue that everyone cares about correct me if I am wrong but I think it is access to dependable and reputable healthcare. The next issue I have, Is it wise to put health care interests in the hands of for profit enterprise. Now this is not an attack on health insurance companies but it is a question to the average person. I have read countless stories of people who thought they had good insurance for years all of the sudden they get sick the insurance pays the lowest possible cost and then cancels their coverage. Or here is another example, former health insurance employees tell of how draconian the companies are that they have worked for when it comes paying for coverage they would rather cancel people's policy. I am forced to wonder how long will it be before doctor's and nurses will be required to have an M.B.A. as a prerequisite for practicing medicine. I am all for free enterprise but something just does not sound right when you have an entire industry based on the soaring cost of healthcare and people's inability to pay for it. Seems that you are at the mercy of your insurance company at the time that you need them most. It seems that access to healthcare has been debated and put on the back burner for over 50 years combined with the fact that the people making the decisions regarding healthcare access rarely have to concern themselves with access to healthcare for themselves or their families, I'm just wondering how much longer is this cycle going to continue before something tangible gets done. I'm not saying healthcare should be totally free. I'm not saying that healthcare costs should destroy the middle class either. I definitely think that a for profit company priorities are to make a profit and answer to stockholders where does the patient come in on this equation. Does anybody out there have any viable solution or are we doomed to keep repeating the same mistake over and over again where the bottomline seems to be when all is said and done when it comes to healthcare access you have to fend for yourself.""

Mascara Tears.
The year is 1996 and I am twelve years old. I have just started junior high, and my mother has just allowed me to go to the movies alone. “Alone” meaning my friend, one year my senior, and me got dropped off by my mom and her sky blue Oldsmobile and picked up by her mom and her sage green mini van. The movie we saw was Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet. It was kind of a big deal because it was the first movie I saw in a theater on my own, with no grown-ups present. I had no idea what Romeo + Juliet was really about. I knew it was about romance. I knew that Romeo and Juliet were “star cross’d”, but I had no idea what that phrase meant. I was, after all, twelve years old. All I really knew about the film was that the advertising campaign had dominated my YM and TEEN magazines the entire summer prior to its release. It was a genius marketing campaign, for the record. They had stuck postcards in every issue of every teen-oriented magazine on the stands. If you collected them all they pieced together, like a puzzle, to spell words and connect scenes from the movie. I think this goes without saying, but I had all of them.
At the time, the most confusing thing to me about this film was not the ending, although it haunted and upset me for weeks, if not months after. I was confused from the second the movie started, and those of you who’ve seen it know what I’m talking about. It was set in present day, but the language was old-timey. They called their guns “swords”? Romeo took drugs??? I have to add all the question marks here. The first ten minutes alone are enough to make a person feel insane. But then the fight between the two families breaks, and the music softens, and we see Romeo. We see Romeo aka a baby faced Leonardo DiCaprio, and we hear Radiohead, and everything feels warm and good. Everything makes sense.
(honestly cigarettes are gross except in this movie. I don't make the rules.)
I remember sitting there in the dark theater after the movie ended, listening to “Exit Music For A Film”, one of my favorite Radiohead songs, which was written specifically for the end credits of this film. I remember being confused and angry. I remember my friend crying, and complaining about her mascara running. I remember being jealous because I didn’t wear mascara regularly. I only wore it when my mother received a free sample in her Lancôme gift with purchase. Looking back on it, some of my anger probably came from the fact that I was robbed of the dramatics of those black streams running down my face. I wanted not only to feel sad, but to look sad too. Feeling sad without really looking sad just felt like lying.
(all the cool girls had this mascara in their backpacks. I died of happiness every time my mom would give me one.)
I came home to find my mother in her room.
“Have you seen that movie before? I mean have you read that play??”, I demanded.
“Yes.” She replied while folding laundry. She was more interested about sock matches, I could tell.
“Well do you know that they DIE at the end??” I said, too loudly, for shock factor. I wanted her to know how seriously I took this.
“Yes. It’s Shakespeare.” She picked up a sock, matched it with its sister and tossed it in the pile.
My eyes widened. I almost couldn’t believe she was so cavalier about it all.
“Well what was all that then? I thought this story was like about true love and stuff!”
“Well it’s a love story, but not all love stories are happy stories.”
Preach, mom. Preach.
I always had a liking for sadder movies over happy movies. My favorite movie as a kid was Beaches, followed by Untamed Heart, both devastatingly sad, and my favorites only got sadder as I got older. But before Romeo + Juliet, I don’t know that I saw the beauty in sadness. I think about that movie experience often, especially when I'm feeling sad. It evoked a lot of strong emotions in me that i had never felt at the same time before. The perfect mixture of sadness and anger, sprinkled with beauty throughout, a deadly cocktail of emotions. The ironic thing, maybe, is that the only kind of love stories I wanted to watch after that one were tragic love stories. Some of my favorite movies today are tragic love stories, and I watch them over and over again. Though the stories are often different, at the core, the emotional cocktail is the same. The only difference now is that I wear mascara when I watch them. You know, for proof.
Why am I telling you about the experience I had watching this movie that you have probably never heard of? What's the point of sharing my sadness and anger over some film that doesn't really affect my life at all? It's because being a teenager is hard. When I was one, I thought it was the hardest thing ever. False. Being an adult is hard too sometimes. Turns out life is just hard no matter what! What fresh nonsense is this? It turns out that despite being difficult and sad at times, life is also really beautiful. One way to contribute to that beauty is to create art from the pain you're feeling. Think about it: if everyone always felt included, if no one was different, if the world were a perfect place, how much art would we have? How many songs or books would never be written? How many of our favorite paintings or movies wouldn't exist? All forms of art have always been a huge part of my recovery from depression and anxiety. I often found solace in film and television, music and books, and in turn I created art of my own. I wrote in journals every day from the ages of 13 to 25 (when I got older I blogged on a computer rather than wrote in a journal) which resulted in me being a good writer and speaker. That trip to the movies back in 1996 inspired me to write this piece for you, and hopefully help you feel a little better about yourself, and maybe learn something too.
When I was 13 I took a strong liking to makeup and hair color. I would babysit most weekends to make money, and then turn around and buy makeup and music with it (I have never been a good saver). I would come home from babysitting and sit in front of the mirror in my bedroom and consider my face; what was pleasant about it (my eye color), what needed work (my brows, always my brows). I started to rip pages out of my mom's fashion magazines that contained makeup looks that I loved, and on these weekend nights I would put music on and try to recreate these looks on myself. My music choices ranged everywhere from Janice Kapp Perry's “The Light Within” to Alanis Morissette's “Jagged Little Pill”. My likes have always been a bit of a contradiction to themselves. All this practice on my own face led to me being good at doing makeup on others which led me to being a successful makeup artist for the last fifteen years. I have been blessed with the ability to see the beauty in others, and in turn helping them see it in themselves. Makeup is such a fun way to be able to do that for people. I'm so happy to make someone feel good about themselves, in some small way. Makeup is a fun way to express myself and to make myself look better sometimes, but I know that real beauty is on the inside, and no amount of makeup can cover up an ugly soul or a mean spirit. The Lord looks at our insides to judge us, not our outsides. He doesn't care what you weigh, or if you know how to highlight and contour. He doesn't even care if your brows are uneven! How's that for unconditional love?
When you turn your pain into art, you can inspire others, and that is a beautiful thing. Art in some form has always inspired me to see the light in dark times. I am so grateful that suffering isn't always in vain. If we can find something beautiful in our journey, we should share it with others. Paint. Sing. Write. Act. Take a ceramics class at school! All of those things have helped me at one point in my life, with the exception of ceramics, because I actually FAILED that class my senior year and had to take a correspondence self-help class in order to graduate. Well guess what Mr. B?? That self help class was actually really great and way more helpful than your ceramics class ever was! I may not know how to throw a pot but I do know that if you want to have enough time for everything, you must put your big rocks in the mason jar before you put your pebbles in. If you are confused, see: Steven R. Covey's “Seven Habits for Highly Effective Teens” for more on the rocks in the mason jar object lesson. It's a classic.
This concludes somewhat messy, very heartfelt guide on how to survive your teen years. I actually could write for months on this subject, and I have over the years on my old blogs. Its kind of difficult to fit all of my thoughts into shorter, cohesive pieces of writing, so I apologize if I didn't do a great job. I have to confess I was nervous to contribute to this website because I know how many young people it reaches. I actually had a harder time writing these pieces than I have writing anything else, and I have written for blogs before. It was hard for me to pin down what I wanted you young girls to know most. And because I have a big mouth, and I never know when to stop talking, I will leave you with a few (more) pieces of advice before I go. I think the thing thing I wish so badly that I had worked harder on long ago when I was just a young girl, back before I heard anyone say I was gross, is loving myself, and being grateful for the body I have. I think it still would have been hard to hear those words because words like that are never easy to hear, but if I had known how beautiful I was, and that my body was something to be celebrated, I wouldn't have spent so much time telling myself that boy was right. I still struggle with body image. Sometimes I think about what it was like before I came to earth, and how what I wanted more than anything was a body. Now that I have one, I am mean to it, and I say that I hate it too often when I should be celebrating all the amazing wonderful things it can do. I can run and hike and tell jokes. I can see beautiful things and hear amazing music. I can touch furry cats and hold hands with people I love. My legs carry me around Disneyland. So much to be thankful for, yet I waste time tearing myself apart and listing all the ways that I fall short. It's such a shame.
Figure out what makes you unique and celebrate those things, don't hide them. Tell yourself you are beautiful every day because you are. Makeup and clothes and hairstyles are fun to experiment with but they aren't what leads to true happiness or beauty. Beauty on the outside cannot compensate for ugliness on the inside. If you ever find yourself in a position with anyone where you are campaigning for them to like or love you, get out immediately. Real love and friendship does not have to be bargained for. Protect your words and your kisses; don't give either away too easily. The boy who loves you most is the one who believes that your insides are beautiful, who looks at you the same whether you are fat, skinny, happy, or sad. True love isn't based on superficial things. Money can't buy happiness but it can solve a lot of problems, so set aside some money now so that one day you can help build a life for yourself. Know that your worth is not based on how many boys like you, or when you get your first boyfriend, but on how the savior sees you. He sees you for all that you are and all that you can be. He truly knows what you are capable of. You have a father in heaven who loves you and has a plan for you. Look to Him in times of trial or confusion and he will guide you in the best direction.
There's a hill about twenty minutes from my house that I used to drive up every weekend. I would put on some of my favorite songs and sing (and cry) along to the lyrics. I would park my car at the top of this hill and look out at the thousands of twinkling lights and try to pick out anything familiar from my drive. Sometimes I would recognize a building or spot an intersection, but mostly all the lights just twinkled together like glitter in the sun. Every time I looked at those lights it baffled me that an entire city existed within them. Houses, shopping centers, gas stations, happy people, sad people, lonely people... they all exist there in that sea of lights. Yet I can't see them. Stop lights and buildings that moments ago towered over me in my car are now invisible. I can't tell one from the next. Our lives are like cities; busy and lonely, full of hard stuff and happy stuff, and ultimately one big beautiful glitter bomb. How lucky are we to know that there is someone on the hill who can see every hard and beautiful thing? It's someone who loves us and wants nothing more than for us to make it back to Him one day. As you follow guidance from your Heavenly Father, believe in yourself. Know your worth. Trust in your talents and abilities. Speak kindly of yourself and others. Be a friend. And don't over-tweeze your eyebrows. Trust me on that one. You'll thank me one day.

29 Trends from the Turn of the Millennium That Seem so Ridiculous Now
The early 2000s were a transformational time for fashion, hair styles, and technology. Not a lot of what we did and wore made sense, but hey, if Lizzie McGuire was wearing it, I was most likely going to wear it.
Get ready for a few ridiculous and laughable trends that will remind of you some awesome and some awful memories.
Plastic Chokers.
These stretchy chokers could be found on the necks of every girl and could be worn with any outfit.
Sometimes, with enough tickets, you could get them at Chuck E. Cheese.

Tiny Sunglasses.
Every time I see a blogger wearing those tiny sunglasses I keep thinking it’s from an old Delia’s catalog pic.twitter.com/sksACaKqG6
— Samantha Raisher (@sraish) April 23, 2018
The smaller the glasses, the more stylish they were.
Tiny sunglasses were all the rage for girls. This is one of those trends that is actually coming back and I don’t know if I’m ready for yet.

Clear Framed Sunglasses.
A post shared by 90’s CHICAS (@90s.chicas) on Apr 27, 2018 at 1:53pm PDT
Every fashion icon was sporting these clear framed sunglasses. Usually they were pink or blue and had little rhinestones on the corner.

Asymmetric Hair Cuts.
. @maryjblige can rock an asymmetric bob like no other, hunty! #kimbleized #throwbackthursday pic.twitter.com/NsdUzRhCNL
— Kim Kimble (@KimbleHairCare) August 18, 2016
Asymmetric haircuts usually were bobs and involved intense highlights or bright colors. It really made quite a statement when you walked into a room.

Frosted Lip Gloss.
Remember when we thought frosted lip gloss was a good look? https://t.co/c4IzgWZYlM pic.twitter.com/iKLo9pU3Xu
— Iris (@heyiris) December 13, 2016
Frosted lip gloss was in the back of every girls pocket as they strolled around the mall waiting for their mom to pick them up. You had to layer it on for at least five minutes and then reapply maybe five minutes later.
The next trend will be a serious throwback and might make you cringe a bit.

Pants That Unzipped Into Shorts.
@BarstoolBigCat @PFTCommenter @hen_ease Pants that can be unzipped into shorts incase it gets too hot or cold. pic.twitter.com/oH7NM6s315
— Justin Pelazza (@justin_pelazza) August 16, 2017
This might have been one of the most advanced fashion trend ever. Is it too hot? Unzip. BAM. Shorts. There’s a breeze picking up? Zip. BAM. Pants. Truly incredible.

Trucker Hats.

— Kari Cruziiie Cruz (@Cruziiie) December 3, 2015
Von Dutch hats, anyone? A lot of lady celebs rocked these as they strolled downtown with smoothies in hand and maybe their pet pooch in their purse.

Flip Phones.
I miss flip phones. So simple, but so dramatic.
Nothing like giving that thing a good snap close and rolling your eyes to make it feel like you were in a movie.

Lace Up Jeans.
A post shared by YM Bombshell Boutique (@ymbombshellboutique) on Jan 18, 2018 at 1:48pm PST
These sexy jeans dressed up any outfit. Thankfully, you never actually had to untie them but they gave a really cool impression.

Neon Colors.
I mean, I don't think I mentioned it in my review, but if you need something on hypervisibility, I grew up in the '90s…I can handle this. Everything was neon and, like, HELLA-visible!! pic.twitter.com/sUKr7Z7e7J
— Jeremiah Graves (@jeremiahgraves) April 26, 2018
Bright colors, bright attitudes, bright future. Neon was so in. Mostly found in tee shirts and sunglasses, neon was always somewhere on your outfit.
For the next trend, you might need to put on those tiny sunglasses to shield your eyes.

Metallic Silver.
Shiny dresses and shoes was quite a ridiculous trend. Silver clothes felt like a futuristic trend, kind of like a fashionable robot.
Bedazzled Anything.
Hats. Jeans pockets. Jackets. Shoes.
If you didn’t have rhinestones, your outfits were seriously slacking.
Tanning Beds.
Glad we finally got this trend over with. This is just a dark part of our past that made you look ridiculous, no matter how natural you thought it looked.

Popcorn Shirts.
A post shared by Saturn Collection Vintage (@saturncollection) on Dec 19, 2017 at 6:30pm PST
These things were way too cool. It was the definition of one size fits all because this tiny tee could stretch to fit four people if you tried it. They always come in weird patterns and colors, almost too irresistible to pass up.

The Internet.
Yeah. That was pretty freaking groundbreaking and kind of life changing. The next trend goes hand in hand with the internet, ridiculousness and all.

Colorful Technology.
20 years of iMac (who knew early models were fanless?) https://t.co/005mcTbdt6 pic.twitter.com/T5B5tIuSw2
— FanlessTech (@FanlessTech) May 2, 2018
You better believe I ran straight to that purple iMac in the computer lab when I got to school.
Nothing more exciting for kids than seeing blue and orange computers.

Halter Tops.

If Baby Spice wore halter tops, I was going to wear a halter top.

Gauchos.
gaucho pants are going to make a comeback I can feel it pic.twitter.com/26RghGO0Cw
— ace (@GraceDuddy) March 21, 2018
So much flow, so much stretch, so much style. You knew you were the “it” girl if you stepped out of your moms’ minivan strutting these gauchos.

Nike Shox.
A moment of silence for old Nike Shox please pic.twitter.com/lviMJyVnuN
— Candice (@kick_tha_CAN) December 13, 2015
These shoes were no joke. Probably the coolest shoes to be made and when you saw someone wearing them, you were always a little jealous.
Lava Lamps.
I used this as a nightlight but it wasn’t lame because it was a lava lamp so it was cool to be afraid of the dark. So many colors and lights. Some lava lamps had glitter which was just incredible. Does anyone else remember how hot they used to get though? It felt like it could burn down your house.
The next trend was as risky as it was ridiculous.

Belly Button Piercings.
Remember when camila performed with Britney during the iconic performance of slave for you at the 2001 VMAs pic.twitter.com/XLeTqjtciN
— Julia 💧 (@trumanregui) April 21, 2016

Air-Brushed Tee-Shirts.
A post shared by Southcoast Airbrush (Frank) (@southcoastairbrush) on Jan 15, 2018 at 5:43am PST

Inflatable Backpacks.
A post shared by Strictly Hot Deals (@strictlyhotdeals) on Apr 18, 2018 at 10:59pm PDT
I can’t believe these ever went out of style. These were so cool and came in a bunch of different colors. They also doubled as a floatation device if you were ever in an emergency situation.

Studded Belts.
A post shared by Christina Cox (@xtinaecox) on Apr 22, 2018 at 6:19pm PDT
The biggest punk rock accessory of them all. Studded belts were bulky but versatile and sometimes even the preppy kids would try to wear them with their Abercrombie & Fitch tops.

Dresses Over Jeans.
okay but who the hell thought that wearing dresses over jeans would be a good idea pic.twitter.com/glXeghMuFn
— deenerys (@cdaenerys) November 13, 2017
This was my biggest fashion faux pas. You can look back on many of my childhood pictures and find a bright dress on top of some of my dirty old jeans. I don’t really know why this ever caught on.
The next trend is an accessory that every girl owned and revolutionized our hair styles.

Butterfly Clips

Colorful Sweat Suits.
#americanproblemsnight back when everyone wore juicy couture sweat suits pic.twitter.com/dWBYZZBBti
— ˗ˏˋmariaˎˊ˗ (@dragmexniall) December 28, 2013
You better believe every girl owned a brightly colored sweatsuit. If it had rhinestones on the back it was even better. I would like to thank The Cheetah Girls for making this a thing. Oh, and Paris Hilton. Such fashion icons.

Denim Everything.
Iconic … if my man not trying to create looks with me like Britney and JT did in '01 that's not my man 😂 pic.twitter.com/aKSkLStOJH
— Youtube: BabsKinks💕 (@babskinks) January 8, 2017
This is one of the most iconic fashion pictures of all time.
The denim on denim choice could only be pulled off if you had total confidence and some chunky highlights really helped tie it all together.
Low-Rise Jeans.
I'm not emotionally prepared for low rise jeans to come back around https://t.co/Q97x9qrG23 pic.twitter.com/kjgvdmfwtZ
— Man Repeller (@ManRepeller) September 9, 2017
These jeans rested just below your hip bones and could almost guarantee a wedgie. Low-rise jeans were seemingly the only option and some girls chose to wear them with crop tops, making their torsos seem extra long.

Let’s Leave It In The Past.
Okay these trends were so fun, right? But let’s leave them where we found them…in the past. Except for the internet. We love that. And the inflatable backpacks. I’m okay with those coming back.
Share this article with your friends who rocked some of these trends back in the day and can have a good laugh at the ridiculousness of them.
