let me tell you a story of what happened not even 20 minutes into my shift this morning. online order for a vanilla latte comes through. there's no vanilla syrup up front so i go to the back to get more. it's not in the usual spot bc we got a truck in either overnight or this morning and it hadn't been put away so it was in the middle of a pile of boxes on a pallette.. luckily I was able to jenga it out without taking everything on top of it out. anyways. I take the box to the shelf and get my knife out of my pocket to open it and in the process of cutting the tape I accidentally stab myself in the thumb Qithout even realizing what happened at first until i saw blood everywhere and was like Ohhhhh okay. but for some reason despite my thumb bleeding Very heavily I decide to bring gje vanilla up front First? before getting a bandaid or anytjing.. bc I needed to finish making the order.. and I do that and realize I need one of the pump dispensers from the back anyways and also realize that I am bleeding quite badly and probably shouldn't make someone's food like that so I go back to get a bandaid out of the first aid cabinet first And when I opened th3 fucking thing the entire thing fell on the floor. the ENTIRE thing and everything in it is all over the floor and I try to start picking it all up STILL BEFOTE BANDAGING MY OPEM WPUMD but I started getting blood on everything so I'm like okay😭 and fish a bandaid out of the pile on the floor and gwtthat on and bring ghe pump to the front so I can finish the order that still hasn't been done...and then my coworker saw me struggling to open the vanilla bottle bc I was Stressed as fucl at this point and I told her what happened and she's like ???!?!? You could have gotten me ???!?!? and I was lile yeah well. I suppose that w0uld have been smarter. BUT THIS ALL HAP0ENED SO FAST AND INWAS STRESSED anyways. this was annoying to type bc I have a big ass bandaid on my thumb so I'm using my left thumb and right index finger. That's another thing I was cutting the box open with my left hand ??? but I'm right handed ?????? wjy was i doing that??!? so it's mu right thumb that got cut. Gah
