It’s not that I hate, or even just dislike, Hohenheim.

I think he’s a really fascinating tragic character that was honestly pretty justified for most everything he did.

However. I am first and foremost an Edward Elric Supporter. And I think Ed hates Hohenheim with the power of the sun. As he should. If you see me bashing Hohenheim know it’s not ME It’s the angry twelve year old boy that’s taken over as the devil on my shoulder and wants to punch his dad (again.)

What are your thoughts on Hirsch?

i do genuinely respect him a lot (the fact that a bunch of the show was improvised is both horrifying and kinda amazing, standout examples being ford himself being written on the fly and also the last mabelcorn being written in a day) and love that he's insistent on the importance of found family and platonic affection, and that he's furious when people devalue family relationships if they're not directly blood related

but also a bunch of his ford takes are pretty iffy (even if he's gotten somewhat better about him recently) and he's pretty "two steps forwards, a bunch of shuffles back" about treating the abusive relationships he writes cos it was like "oh he's talking about it normally for the panels--" and then that charity stream was basically a cannonball to any goodwill he built up

also god damn he's bad with writing romance and picking side ships in general (tad/woodpecker guy is the most 'picked random names outta a hat' shit), especially when he's fully aware that it gets fans sidetracked from the main points he's trying to make with the series

Charles uniform is based off a certain uniform but also others (given he's experienced with many different ships, i prefered him having a special suit different to other pilots)

HE SURE IS i will be honest i almost like him a Little Too Much because i Also live in my fantasy world of make believe where camp lazlo is a little more than a 6.4/10 show (I STILL LOVE YOU SWEETHEART!) and instead also includes all my insane 20k spiels of backstory stringing and talks about character writing but

It's. Kind of insane how the datamined gondola/epilogue scene let me have a clearer idea on how lucanis would be post game but it also made me realize how much he and elio just don't belong together... I know that the reason why he's like that with both a romanced and just a friendly rook is not necessarily because it's in character or anything like that but rather how bad production for this game was and how little everyone cared abt rook themselves but god. the way most lines lucanis has interacting with rook are him acting annoyed abt them being there one way or another just doesn't sit right with me. It's kind of yet another bellara situation... you have the protag support these characters thru their absolute worst and they still end up acting like they dgaf ESP compared to the other games where it does feel like there's a real connection between companion and protag

I don’t know if I’m just imagining things but I feel like Olli and Aleksi are actually so close 🥺 for example I feel like they post so many pics together and I know they post with others too and it’s not a big deal but e.g. Olli has posted 5 pics with someone else this year and 3 of them are with Aleksi.. so it must mean something right?? 🥺 and I feel like they spend a lot of time together yk even ”outside the band” when they’re having a day off and they still do music (the remix) etc. together 😭
