i hate how english doesn’t have distinct words to differentiate types of love like spanish does

te quiero/te amo/te adoro/me gustas/me fascinas

theres levels to it!!! and they all describe very specific feelings, there’s a massive difference between “te quiero” and “te amo” but ur also comparing apples to oranges, one is more tender and sweet and gentle and the other is more passionate and intense but they’re both still very intimate, “i love u” simply cannot capture the warmth and softness of “te quiero” but its also like a drop of water in the ocean that is “te amo”
