AL FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) is a leading institute for higher education in Kazakhstan and one of the top universities in Central Asia. The university was named after the legacy of the eastern philosopher and scholar Al-Farabi. It is one of the largest and established universities in the country. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will be celebrating its 85th year in 2019 and will be one of the oldest universities in the region.

Today, KazNU’s alumni includes a large number of governors, ministers, members of Parliament, top managers, Olympic Champions and CEOs.

The university was the first to receive a Presidential Award from the Republic of Kazakhstan, ‘For Achievements in the Area of Quality’. The university also received the Laureate Award of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for accomplishments in the area of service  and quality throughout the history of the country.

KazNu is ranked 220 in the QS World University Rankings 2018-19 and was ranked 11th in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) University Rankings, making it Republic of Kazakhstan’s highest ranked university. KazNu Is A Member Of The Below International Organization
