Ahsoka grins, joy light and feral-feeling in her chest, heart fluttering like a bird of prey that nips at her ribs inside in a tickling sort of way. She can still feel the fatigue of the hospital clinging to her, but it’s distant — almost forgettable. The sight in front of her wipes it away cleanly, and she throws her arm up, leaning out despite the winds and the fiercely setting sun urging her back into the train compartment.

Running alongside on the station platform at speeds unsafe and inhuman, the 501st battalion waves back wildly (or in some cases throws hands rudely, grinning with all their teeth).

Okay so for the first few episodes of Ahsoka I was like BLEGH what is this?? she's so serious and melancholy? Her lightsaber fights are so boring? Where are the acrobatics? Where are the dumb jokes and nicknames?? Where is my girl, you've ruined her??

Y’know. Anakin was a real asshole in Ahsoka’s hallucination.

Like. She mentions something about what she’ll be able to teach her padawan one day, since all she’s being taught is how to be a soldier, and Anakin’s like “teaching’s not all it’s cracked up to be”

And like. Asshole move. And Ahsoka rightfully calls him out on it. And he goes on the whole “uuuh I was joking. Lighten up.” Literally a complete jackass.

But beyond how he answered the question, it’s a valid complaint Ahsoka is bringing up! Anakin’s teaching her how to live or die. But Ahsoka wants to be taught how to be a jedi.

What happens after the war is over (order 66 never happens) and she now has to navigate a galaxy without a war? The Jedi take teaching very seriously there’s no greater honor than teaching a padawan. And she’s not being accurately taught, so she will not be able to pass anything on to the next generation.

But Anakin brushes it aside because he simply does not respect her or her wishes. Like. He never wanted a padawan, despite teaching being foundational to the Jedi. And he only took ahsoka in because he started to like her and became attached to her. He doesn’t care about jedi legacy, not really. So he brushes her comment off with a joke.

But in the rest of the vision… idk it didn’t feel like we were supposed view Anakin as entirely wrong here. He wasn’t in the right, he was definitely channeling Vader and being an ass, but he was basically the reason Ahsoka survived the fall, right? Bc he was making her choose life? When Ahsoka wins against him it’s sort of like she’s both learned his lesson and moved beyond him. And then for the rest of the season he’s only talked about in positive ways.

And like. That one line ahsoka said was really powerful in relation to the entire point of the show. What does she have to pass onto her own padawan (Sabine) if she wasn’t properly trained herself? That is, perhaps, the only valid plot question asked in the entire show. And it doesn’t get an answer. It’s never even brought up again.

Cody: *comes into Obi-Wan’s apartment after Rex mentioned he thinks Obi and Ani pulled an all nighter*

Obi-Wan: *lying face down on the carpet in plank formation, dead asleep*

Anakin: *texting on the couch while trying to keep his eyes open*

Ahsoka: *having made a comfortable next in the meditation area that genuinely looks comfortable, probably fell asleep at a human-normal but not togruta-normal time*

Initiate Grogu: *stealing more cookies*

Padawan Reva: *helping Grogu steal more cookies, the sugar will be their lifeblood*

Cody: …is he okay?

Reva: *looks at Obi-Wan* Yeah? Master likes to sleep like that.

Anakin: *looks at Obi-Wan, concentrates for a second to float a pillow to him to drop next to him*

Obi-Wan: *instantly snatches the pillow to curl on top of it and stretch out like a lazy cat*

Grogu: *comes over, looks between Reva and Obi-Wan for a few moments, faceplants on the floor next to Obi-Wan to fall asleep under his chest and the pillow*

Cody: …is /he/ okay?

Anakin: Yeah, Grogu likes being smothered. Long as he’s got breathing space he’s fine.

Cody: So. Debatable?

Anakin: Probably. *puts down his phone and finally decides to pass out too*

Reva: *comes over and latches onto Cody’s hand with a soft whine* Is it bedtime now?

Cody: It’s noon, but it’s your bedtime, yeah. Come on, kiddo. *leads her off to tuck her into bed*

Its seems weird to me how Anakin became a literal slave to Palpatine so easily and didn't go against him at least once.

Sidious got him shitty limbs and crappy life support suit with constant pain reasoning that pain help him gain power in the dark side and

Anakin "I will disassemble this damn star destroyer piece by piece to get rid of this vibration that happens once a month or not" Skywalker didn't go ballistic as a mechanic.

"Go kriff yourself." leaving to the first scrap market to create most advanced prosthetic limbs known to the galaxy.

We could've not only get Vader, who is strong, experienced and cunning but also fast, agile and deadly silent as well as see Sidious come up with sadistic shit and get fucked each time. When he gets fed up with Anakin (he hasn't even finished saying word no) he tries to fry him with lightning and Vader who made sure his suit has electrical grounding as well as Faraday cage tech go

"Dafuq, are you doing you senile piece of shit"

And clones/troopers respect go stonks ↗️↗️ because their General just deflects lightning that melts metal with his "Simple Man Rage™" aura
