And I’ve already pointed out the similarities between this area & Drakengard 3’s Cathedral City, which—

The Cathedral City could be considered the Watcher’s “world.” The Old World. The Cathedral City, which resembles the Copied City, which was made by a machine, which was made by Aliens.

The Cathedral City, which resembles ‘Earth’, which is now said to have been changed and built in the image of the world the machine’s creators came from.
