I think, since Inna is a very naive and kind person, I think he wouldn’t realize or understand that Yvonne would only see him as competition. He might think that Yvonne was a friend! Same with the other kids, he’d go out of his way to spend time with Yvonne, even if she didn’t think of him as a friend.

However, I do think he would notice Yvonne liking Sebastion, which is where this would get funny. Because Inna thinks Toki and Sebastion like each other.

So after learning that Yvonne might like Sebastion he would spend more time with her, trying to make her feel better (as well as himself.) He see them as kindred souls because the people they like are in love with each other.

I know you asked for Inna’s opinion and thoughts on Yvonne, but I just need to also drop Macbeth’s feelings.

Macbeth sees right through Yvonne. He’s seen it with Toki, the obsessiveness and the idea of everyone else being compeition for love. But he also sees himself in Yvonne, with the guardians being influencers and both of them being already somewhat established outside of Anakt Garden.

I think Macbeth would hate Yvonne, like a lot. Because while he does see himself in her, she’s also the, i suppose improved version of himself in his eyes. Yes, he has some popularity but Yvonne has more, its only way later down that he’s able to reach the same heights Yvonne has. She’s beautiful, perfect for the camera, but aside from Macbeth’s eyes, he’s bland and has to make up for his bland looks by personality and voice.

He hates her almost as much as he hates Toki.

nat has never seen a squirrel, he's mostly a hermit before the story starts and doesn't like to leave the house let alone leave the country and go to a place where he could potentially see a squirrel :P alex and quinn do travel semi-frequently, sometimes for business, sometimes for funsies, sometimes together and sometimes nah...... both of them have seen squirrels I would assume! tris and shara love to try and one-up each other with increasingly ridiculous conspiracy theories and Texas Doesn't Exist is one they latched onto specifically for kai reasons lmao. tris and shara appear to take each other VERY seriously even when they're 100% just fucking around, and kai made the mistake of hopping in one time to be like "I'm pretty sure this is a joke but it's important to me you know that texas is real. I’ve never been a fan of the music choices for the show’s soundtrack and that’s still the same this season. That’s just my personal preference but just found the scene with the fire burning the house down to be ~too much~

I got literal chills when Emily was in the hospital. The staff treated her with such kindness but I also loved that she didn’t want to let go of Holly. One of my concerns was that Emily had lost a lot of her humanity and seeing her so attached to Holly shows that there is still a lot of human kindness left in her

And we’re back to angsty nick and june with lots of stares

Thank god they didn’t show the torture in the red center again that would just be too much and not fit with the tone at all

Luke crying over Hannah my heart. I just want their whole family to be safe is that too much to ask

Seeing Emily in normal clothes and not a handmaid uniform is a welcome sight. I do wish that we had gotten to see Luke’s reaction to Holly but maybe that will be next episode

And of course June is with Lawrence… we shall see how this goes

Overall thoughts: Not as strong as the first two seasons, and the characterization writing seems all over the place. But at least the tone is lighter and there is actual momentum.

Endless Summer 3 Diamond Scene: Receive the Endless’s Memories

A brilliant flash heralds the beginning of a vision. You find yourself in deep woods. From nearby, you hear laughter and splashing. You follow the sound, pushing aside foliage… 

Sean: No way! That was totally out! Quinn: If it hits the water, it counts! Your friends are playing volleyball in The Celestial pool, sending a colourful beach ball back and forth over the net. And among them, you see��� You: Yes! That’s another point! You stagger, dazed at the sight. Looking down at your hands, you see that one is gloved in red, and the other is skeletal steel. The Endless: I’m… the Endless. Your heart is racing, but the sight of your friends laughing and playing somehow puts you at ease. The Endless: I don’t remember this. It must be from another timeline. 

Just then, Sean spikes the beach ball too hard, and it bounces over to the edge of the jungle, nearly at your feet. Sean: My bad. I’ll get it. 

Sean jogs over, a smile on his face. As he picks up the ball, he sees you among the trees. Sean: Who are you? The Endless: Sean. It’s me. Sean: …[Name]? You take a step toward him… but as you do, reality shimmers and ripples… 

Suddenly, you’re standing on a snowswept mountainside. The Endless: Huh? Where did-- A bellowing roar shakes the pine trees! Nearby, you see yourself and Grace skiing down the slope, with Furball perched on your shoulder! Furball: Mreep! You: Come on! She’s gaining! Grace: Oh god, oh god! The Yeti bursts through the treeline, thundering after them! Yeti: RAAAAUUGGHHH! 

Next, you’re watching Michelle barely keeping balance as she tiptoes across a narrow catwalk. Michelle: Almost… there… With a groan, the metal platform bends toward the blazing magma! At the base of Elyys’tel’s mighty tree, a battle rages. Arachnid soldiers struggle to defend the city from a horde of Vaanti. Ximaedra: To me, warriors! Let us slay the Hydra and Spider and reclaim our home! The Omega Mech strides across the beach, charging its weapons. Estela glares out from the cockpit. Estela: Let’s do this… 

High above the fray, Tetra tosses Rourke’s lifeless body from the branches. Tetra: … He strides back toward the audience hall. 

Tetra: They’re getting close, boss. A cigar smolders, lighting the face of the man on the throne. Lundgren: Let ‘em come. Lundgren: And when they do, we’ll burn this damned tree to the ground with them inside it. 

You see your friends in Rourke’s cloning lab. Strapped to the surgical table in steel restraints is… Gurgi: Help! You must help Gurgi! Raj: Come on, there’s gotta be a way to-- Iris: I’m sorry, Raj. I can’t let you do that. Raj: Whoa! Who the hell are you? The Endless: This must be a timeline where we never found Iris. 

Quinn: Taari, where’d you get that necklace? The Vaani child shows off the golden key hanging from his neck. Taari: I found it! Do you like it? Quinn kneels down to get a closer look… and sees a rune shaped like a dolphin engraved into the side. 

Lila: I hate to tamper with private property… but I have a job to do. Lila sets the trail of gasoline alight, and soon the fire engulfs Jake’s plane. Lila: There. That should keep them from leaving. 

Estela: Come on… where is it?! In a ballroom, Estela flips open a pocket knife and slashes the painting of a sailboat, reaching behind the canvas. Estela: Found you. She takes out a folded note and reads it. Estela: This handwriting. It’s… Note: L, There’s a second Omega Specimen. Whatever it takes, we have to make sure Rourke doesn’t get his hands on her/him. - O Clipped to the note is a photo of you. Estela: He won’t, Mom. I promise. 

A rusty taco truck rumbles down ruined jungle roads with Jake at the wheel! Jake: I’ve got it… I’ve got it! Mike: You’re gonna get us killed! Again! Jake: We’ll be fine. Ain’t that right, Sebastian? King Crab: Shk-snk! 

You: Hold on. You’re telling me that-- Aleister: For the love of… [Name], we’ve discussed this protractedly. I’m Aleister. You: And you’re-- Michelle: Michelle. Can you please just get us out of this nightmare?! Grace: What surprises me most is that Rourke literally labelled this machine ‘Freaky Friday Device.’ Aleister: It’s his favourite movie. 

Raj: Uh, guys… Raj: Why is Furball purple?! Furball: Mrrp? 

Sean: How did he even get up there? Diego: Is he gonna be okay? Yvonne: Ugh, just like Malatesta… The fool never understand when it’s time to let go! You watch as Cetus breaches the sea’s surface again… with Malatesta somehow riding atop his head! Malatesta: Will one of you bloody fools do something?! Cetus: HRRRAAAAK! 

A figure levitates over the cracking ice, blazing with time energy. Tetra: Run! That freak’s gonna kill us all! Craig: Chyeah-heh-heh boi! 

Lundgren: I knew you’d come around eventually. Lundgren: Welcome back… Wolf. Wolf: What can I do for you, Commander? 

Aleister walks in, carrying Grace’s body. Aleister: This is your fault… Quinn: Aleister, I’m so sorry… it was an accident. Diego: Poor Grace. Aleister: His blood is on all of you, and now your own will be too! Aleister sets down Grace’s body and draws a snake-hilted knife. 

Varyyn sits alone on the shore, weeping as he cradles a fluorescent-coloured seashell to his ear. Varyyn: … A voice echoes faintly in the shell, a voice from long ago. Diego: I’ll always love you, Varyyn… I’ll always love you, Varyyn… I’ll always love… Soon, the echo is gone forever. 

Craig dangles over the side of a sheer cliff, hanging on to Sean’s hand. Sean: I’ve got you! I can pull you up! Craig: Bro… I’ll just pull you over with me. Sean: Craig, no! Craig: Face it, Sean. I’ve been dragging you down my whole life. I’m done. Craig releases his grasp and plummets hundreds of feet to the ground. Sean: NOOOOOO! 

Rourke cuts a thick slice of juicy steak and twirls it on his fork. Rourke: I must say, it’s lovely to finally have a family dinner together. Across the table, Estela sits perfectly still her eyes blank. At her temple, an electric device pulses with light. Rourke: Wouldn’t you agree, my dear? Estela: Yes, Father.

Taari runs up and hugs Aleister around the legs. Taari: I love you, Uncle Al! Aleister: I, er-- Aleister: I love you too, Taari. 

An arcade machine flashes ‘High Score’ while Craig hosts Diego onto his shoulders and carries him around! Craig: Ha ha! My boy Diego just crushed the all-time leaderboard! Zahra: Aw, yes. Billy Mitchell who? Diego: Couldn’t have done it without you guys! 

Grace sniffs, and a tear rolls down her cheek. Michelle, sitting by her side, wipes it away. Michelle: I don’t think you’re timid at all. In fact, you’re probably the bravest person I’ve ever met. Grace: Sniff… Really? Michelle: Really. 

Jake pulls the slide on a pistol. Jake: You seriously think I’d let you go it alone? I told you. I’ve got your back for life. Sean: I know, Jake. And you know I’ve got yours. Sean and Jake embrace, clapping each other. Jake: But if you tell anybody I said that, I’ll kill you myself. 

You watch yourself raise a glass, surrounded by your friends. You: So this toast… is to all of you. You: You’re like family to me, and more than that, you’re the best family I could ever hope for.

Day 217/365: August 5th 2017 | Anime Revolution (LONGGGGG POST) 

Today was my first ever anime convention!!!!! Honestly it was such a mess at first because Rachel said to meet up at 9:30am but because she had no sleep the night before, she woke up at 9 and ended up showing up at 12pm............ I WAITED FOR HER FOR 3 HOURS!!!!!!!!!! I was honestly really pissed and tired (I was super sleep deprived..... ran on only 3-4 hours of sleep) and I considered just going home while I was waiting for her. I was really happy when she finally showed up. We got a cup of Shiny Tea and made our way to Waterfront. There was hardly any lineup for tickets because we literally got there at 1 rip. Right after getting tickets, we joined Yvonne and her friend at the maid cafe line up............ Turns out the frigging lineup took 3-4 hours!!!!!!!! AHHHH so during the wait I just helped Rachel glue business cards onto tissue packs, helped Rachel tape string onto double sided tape to make trees, and chat with Rachel, Yvonne, and Yvonne’s two other friends lmao!! At the end of the lineup, I seriously felt so hungry (it was like 4pm lmfksdjhgksa), I felt like I was gonna faint RIP I think I had to eat two Q10 in order to not faint from lack of food because all I ate before maid cafe was a pack of thin ass egg rolls HHHHNNNNG. 

The maid cafe itself was honestly pretty cool. Was it worth the wait?? hm... maybe not?? The interior decorations were honestly so horrible but the maid uniforms were cute. The food was edible fksadkgh nothing special and definitely not worth the price (TY RACHEL FOR TREATING ME TO LUNCH AND SUBSEQUENTLY DINNER AS WELL JUST SO I COULD ENJOY MY FIRST CON T_T). Our maid was really cute and kind to us..... and ridiculously honest and real,,,, telling us to not pay for certain things because they thought it was a rip-off lmao!!!!! I can’t believe these maids don’t get paid AT ALL (THEY DON’T EVEN GET THE FUCKING TIPS) even though they do so much???? Anyway when I was getting ready to leave, another really cute maid with a silver wig came up to me to talk about Conan!!!!! I feel like they were so much more into MK though but still cool~ While I was talking to that maid, April (my elementary school friend from Ontario) called out my name, came up to me, hugged me (?????) and asked me if I still remember her lmao and I was like OFC I DO :P because I hung out with her twice in 2013 plus we are still friends on snapchat HAHAHA. Anyway that was a really cute moment LMAO but I couldn’t stay for that long because my friends were late for their panel. In between the maid cafe and the panel, there was ~5 minutes for me to take outfit photos so I did that!!!! THANKS RACHEL ONCE AGAIN. It was really hectic and there really wasn’t a lot of time before they all had to rush to their panel room. I went there and helped them set up for a bit before taking a seat. Their panel was just a bunch of games and I didn’t feel like participating so I just sat in my seat mindlessly scrolling through my camera photos before someone tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if they could take a photo of me as Conan LOL. And I was like “just me?????” and they were like “YEAH!” HFJSKFJFK I honestly didn’t let them take the photo until ~30 minutes after because I wanted to talk to them about Conan first HAHA anyway that person is the Chris in the photoset above LOL and I basically forced them to hang out with me and my friends for the rest of the day.

After the panel, we went to a pianist concert. During the lineup, someone else asked to take a photo of me as Conan!!!!! Second person of the day LOL. I was really happy hahahahahha I always talk about Conan for a bit with them afterwards because DC fans are honestly quite rare in North America??? Ah but those interactions really made my day. I was really exhausted before and during the concert because I was really sleepy!!! It was 7:30pm at this point and I was dyinggggggg zzzzzzZZZ. But the concert music really made things better!! The pianist was really talented LOL Rachel even made him sign her oral piano (???? deadass forgot the name). After the concert, 2 other people came up to me to take pics of me as Conan and another person was like “WOW CONAN! I’M SO HAPPY!” :’) At this point it was almost 10pm so I just went to eat dinner with Rachel at hapa izakaya~ we ate expensive af sashimi (sashi mori....... $42 for half of a plate of just sashimi derp) and coal harbour rolls. The people beside us were partying hecka loud and the server actually asked us if we wanted to move somewhere else! So considerate ;~; ANYWAY THANK U RACHEL FOR DINNER :’( !! After dinner, we trained back to Brighouse. While we were walking to Waterfront, another person came up to me and asked me if I was cosplaying as Conan LOL and that my cosplay was good!! Anyway, I eventually made it back home by around 11:30pm. It was a decent day in the end. The best part was people recognizing that I was Conan. Hopefully next time I’ll have the chance to check out the vendors. ^0^

The BREAK

Ahhhh thanksgiving break. What a wondrous time. A week long break to study up and do all your homework before finals WRONG! You sit and do nothing all week long and then eat tons of food and then be like ahhh crap I have so much homework to do and not enough time. Welp thats me. Over the break I watched the whole second season of stranger things and some seasons of the mandalorian. I ran but other than that I just mainly did nothing. We had an entire week off for the break and it was so incredibly nice but wow I actually got nothing done. My brother and sister in law were in town that whole week and they have three little girls and they are just may favorite. Their names are Yvonne, Noelle, and Josie. They are 3, 2, and 5 months old. They are so much fun and I absolutely love them with all my heart. I can’t wait to see them again but it was so fun to see them. When ever I first see Noelle she runs up to me with her arms waving saying “uncle adam! uncle adam! uncle adam!” Then I pick her up and throw her in the air and she just laughs her head off! It makes me smile so much and I absolutely lover her with my whole heart. I love my nieces and nephews! I’m most certainly the favorite uncle. The break was well needed and so much fun!

macbeth hating yvonne for being an improved version of himself. I absolutely adore that because it makes the dynamics sooo fun

yvonne would notice. almost immediately. and so, whenever she got praised for something, her eyes would search for Macbeth and give him a smug grin, then go back to smiling all kindly for the camera.

what would Inna think of Yvonne? :3

I think, since Inna is a very naive and kind person, I think he wouldn’t realize or understand that Yvonne would only see him as competition. He might think that Yvonne was a friend! Same with the other kids, he’d go out of his way to spend time with Yvonne, even if she didn’t think of him as a friend.

However, I do think he would notice Yvonne liking Sebastion, which is where this would get funny. Because Inna thinks Toki and Sebastion like each other.

So after learning that Yvonne might like Sebastion he would spend more time with her, trying to make her feel better (as well as himself.) He see them as kindred souls because the people they like are in love with each other.

I know you asked for Inna’s opinion and thoughts on Yvonne, but I just need to also drop Macbeth’s feelings.

Macbeth sees right through Yvonne. He’s seen it with Toki, the obsessiveness and the idea of everyone else being compeition for love. But he also sees himself in Yvonne, with the guardians being influencers and both of them being already somewhat established outside of Anakt Garden.

I think Macbeth would hate Yvonne, like a lot. Because while he does see himself in her, she’s also the, i suppose improved version of himself in his eyes. Yes, he has some popularity but Yvonne has more, its only way later down that he’s able to reach the same heights Yvonne has. She’s beautiful, perfect for the camera, but aside from Macbeth’s eyes, he’s bland and has to make up for his bland looks by personality and voice.

He hates her almost as much as he hates Toki.

the first time i saw that fic on my dash, i actually couldn't read it because i had recently lost my husband's wedding ring and we both got upset about it for a bit 🙈. lol. we found it eventually but it doesn't really fit him anymore (which was why he wasn't wearing it in the first place lol)

i keep talking about this fic but ive read some of your other fics too. like the yaku and akaashi one. i usually don't read fics on the angstier side because i like reading cute fluff, but i decided to read it anyway. and i also read requiem because it was on eightonenine's blog and i basically agree with all the comments said about that fic. :D

idk. now i'm kind of inspired to try writing not-fluff after reading those fics :) (once I finish my current wip lol) i wish there were a tag for those fics that aren't quite fluff and not quite angst. lol.

awww tysm for taking the time to read my absence of sound series! and requiem (it's actually a remixed version of one of my other fics) is...indeed exceedingly angsty. i completely get it - fluff is just so warm and comforting to read at the end of a long day? but i find angst v therapeutic, both to read and write. perhaps it helps me process any negative emotions i have? idk or maybe i'm weird like that.

also - yvonne (@eightonenine) is lovely lovely lovely - her fics always make me squeee (i sound like a crazy fangirl but her tsukki argument fic, her bokuto blanket fort fic, her osamu knight fic made me melt, her sakusa fics ughhhh take my heart yvonne plsss).

ooh! i think you can label those sort of midway angsty/fluffy works with angst to fluff, or hurt/comfort if it applies!!! also - omgosh you're a writer too!!?
