Notes: OKAY SO! i was thinking about Tanaka for a while now since I literally love him!! but!! i had the worst day today :( so why can't I share my pain :) This is a short drabble I thought of on the spot and they're will be a lot of timeskips!!

Jealousy~

"Oi! Tanaka!" You called, and the boy you called over, turned his shaved head and his gray eyes stared back at you. "Oh! hey y/n!" Tanaka Ryunosuke, your boyfriend, announced. You sped over to him with open arms, which he did also. You two hugged for a minute before you let go and kissed his cheek. You could see that he was in heaven in the way that his face turned red and his ears turned pink You giggled at his reaction before bidding your goodbyes to him before you got late for class.

Unfortunately, you didn't see him until break time, which made you sad, but you knew that you'd see him at break… fangirling at Kiyoko Shimizu, Your best friend.

No matter how many times Kiyoko and Tanaka assured you that they didn't like each other, you still felt jealous. Tanaka never complimented you like the way he does to Kiyoko. You brushed it off like a speck of dirt on your shoulder.

You and Tanaka were second years, meanwhile, Kiyoko was a third year, meaning that she'd graduate tomorrow, and when she did, you hoped that Tanaka would stop talking about her. And it's not like you hate Kiyoko, she's your best friend, and you love her, but having to hear her in every conversation Tanaka has with you and other people. Boasting of how she's such a beauty, that she looks pretty every day, that she's an angel.

But even when she did graduate, he would not shut up about her. "Tanaka, you wanna study at the library together after school?" "Oh, sure babe! can we invite Kiyoko?" He asked, and you looked at him, eye twitching, and left. He looked at you dumbfoundedly before shaking his head and heading to his next class.

After a few months, you get the courage to call a confident woman your so-called boyfriend is in love with.

"Hello? This is Kiyoko Shimizu speaking." "Kiyoko? It's Y/n,," "Y/n? I haven't heard from you in this ages, how are you?" "I'm fine, I was just wondering, I know I asked you already but, do you..like Tanaka?" The other line was silent for a minute. "i.." The line responded, but at last, the voice sounded hesitant, unsure of their answer. "He likes you back, by the way." Your voice shook, your eyes holding back tears, trying not to make it obvious that you were going to start crying. A small, soft gasp interrupted the hard tension. After a few seconds of processing, she replied to you with an answer

"Yes, I do like him, he confessed to me a few days ago." Now it was your turn to gasp. You knew he liked her but didn't know that he confessed to her. And with that, you pressed the end call button and broke down. You fell back onto your bed and sobbed and stayed in your bed for the rest of the day. Tanaka sent a few text messages here and there saying that he's worried about why you're not replying like you always do.

Your heart ached, and your friends and family began to get worried for you. He was always on your mind, and that's why a salty small tear slipped out of your eyes and slid down your face.

Collage came around and you and Tanaka, unfortunately, broke up. It's been a while since you two have seen each other. He and Kiyoko got together, and their life was perfect! or so they thought.

They graduated and he was ultimately happy. He loves Kiyoko, and he's almost certain that she loves him back.

So why does his hand shakes, his heart sink, his mouth agape, and his mind go blank when he finally sees you, kissing Oikawa?
