hi harmie, do you have any composition tips? i really like how u pose ur artwork/er entries so i was curious but im a bit too afraid to turn off anon
OH SHIT TYSM YOURE TOO KIND!!!! I Apologize for How Longwinded This Is and If Its Not Too Helpful, Im Both Very Passionate and Chatty and Also Ive Never Made a Tutorial Before So We'll See How I Do Haha :]
Three Things I Personally Think About a Lot When Composing My Pieces is Rule of Three, Empty Space, and Leading the Eye.
Rule of Three is an Idea That You Should Put the Focus of the Piece In One Third of the Piece Instead Smack Dab in the Middle

It Doesnt Have to Even Be to the Left or Right, Plenty of Pieces of Mine Have Characters More Centered But Still In the Bottom or Upper Third of the Canvas.
However When Animating I Do Tend to Center My Characters and Action More. You Usually Want That Centered Because Things Can Be Cut Off or Not Have Enough Space to Move If Off-Centered Too Much.

Next Up: Empty Space! A Lot of My Art Has Space That Isn't Being Utalized to Create a Feeling of Emptiness or Loneliness.

However, the Reverse Can Also Be Useful! Cramming the Frame Makes Things Feel More Alive or Claustrophobic or Hectic! I Was Trying to Convey Overwhelming Emotion Here, Hence the Frame Being Almost Entirely Full With Very Little Breathing Room.

Finally, I Also Think a Lot About How My Piece "Leads the Eye". I Try to Make Art That Encourages the Viewer to Look at ALL of It Before Trailing Off Screen, Giving the Impression Theres Even More Happening Out of Frame

There are More "Professional" Composition Tips and I Hope I Explained Them Well! Feel Free to Play Around or Disregard Them. For Every Piece I Do This Theres Probably One I Dont.
This is Less a Rule and More Just a General Thing I Do a Lot But I Also Do a Lot of "Frame Within Frame" Stuff Where There are Several Things Going On in Separate "Boxes" of the Screen. I Do This Because I Like Having Several Different Windows to Depict Scenes/Symbol/Styles and Cuz I Think It Whips Major Ass
