Years ago, someone used the sentence "It's you" as an example of a platitude: that is, a sentence that's both 1) true and 2) tells you nothing you didn't already know.

(Another example would be something like, "Purple flowers are purple" or "If Steve is a man and Joe is a man, then Steve and Joe are both men")

I argued that it isn't really accurate for "It's you," because you can use it an answer to a question: "Who's the escaped convict?" "It's you." It doesn't work.

Anyway, my point is, what Kapp'n is saying here IS the kind of thing that that someone in the first paragraph of this post was talking about. Walking into a cafe and saying to someone, "You're here, too, eh?" is a meaningless thing. Yes, obviously. You're looking at them and talking to them as they sit there. They're here, too.

Kapp’n took me to my first island that had carrot spouts for me to dig up. Never have I ever been to an island with carrots before, or veggies at all really. Fruit trees or nada food wise. Today I played with reactions and took photos.

Obsessed with the narratively buried supernatural aspects of Animal Crossing. So, Redd's a kitsune who uses whatever magicks he has on his forgeries (ex. some of his failed paintings' eyes glow red if you face away). Are kitsune and foxes different, or is a kitsune just a fox with powers? I assume the furniture-to-leaves thing is Tom Nook's doing, since he's a tanuki. Is that normal?

Luna is a baku, a tapir-like creature who feeds off of dreams. Lyle is implied to have worked alongside Redd back when he sold insurance; he and his niece may be kawauso, mythological river otter tricksters. And, of course, Kapp'n and his family are kappa, straight up. Is this all Tuesday for animal folk, or is it secret, or what? Why doesn't anybody talk about it.
