Why the hell is an invincible demon with supernatural powers so damn smug about being able to fry eggs better than a human—it’s because all those months of training with Ciel fucking paid off and Sebastian is going to flaunt it until the end of times.

Forever thinking about this small moment of tenderness in the Green Witch Arc

I might be forgetful but I've never seen him caress Ciel's face this indulgently before (whilst in the middle of battle even)

From earlier arcs, the only scenes that come to mind of a gentle caress similar to this one are these

Wherein Sebastian admires Ciel's eye, where the seal of their covenant resides in/will reside in. His loyalty to Ciel at this point in time is solely attributed to the contract, and it reflects in this action.

But starting from GWA, after he almost lost Ciel, and almost ate his soul, a new type of caress emerged, in the form of Sebastian affectionately brushing Ciel's cheeks from one end to the other, and not just his eye. Caring for Ciel beyond the bounds of the contract.

I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO SHIP CIEL AND SEBASTIAN FROM BLACK BUTLER!

There is so much wrong with this ship and I have a full LIST of reasons why you are disgusting if you ship it.

1. CIEL IS A MINOR. HE IS 13. I don't care that he acts like an adult sometimes or that he's emotionally mature, he is thirteen fucking years old.

2. Sebastian is like a thousand years old. He's ancient. Enough said.

3. Sebastian cares about Ciel mainly because of the contract. I'm not saying that's the only reason, but Sebastian is mainly with Ciel so he can munch on his soul and have some fun before he finds a new contractor. I do believe Sebastian might have grown more attached to Ciel, but at the end of the day, Sebastian just wants his soul ¯\(ツ)/¯

4. I'm aware that there are rumours that Black Butler was going to be some gross hardcore yaoi series, but the author changed it. I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF THERE ARE SOME REMINENTS OF WHAT BLACK BUTLER MIGHT'VE BEEN, THEY AREN'T A SHIP.

5. There is next to no evidence that they will/are canon. Fight me on this.

6. Some people say it's because the series is old and the people who used to read this were desperate to be with Sebastian or Ciel whoever, and tried to ship them to feed their own dreams but SERIOUSLY. Get a life please 💀

7. Ciel doesn't have a romantic chemistry any characters apart from Lizzy, and he doesn't even seem overly interested in her ngl 💀 And again, he's 13 let the kid just be a kid.

8. The series is most likely never going to go down a romantic path. It's about demons, mystery, and crime fighting. There's a lot more but those are BASICALLY THE MAIN THEMES. not romance.

I could think up so many more, but my fingers are sore from typing. Don't get me wrong, I'm all here for platonic sebaciel because I find their dynamic interesting, but pairing the characters romantically? 🤮

actually no i need to talk about the green witch arc. ciel and his band of merry fools go to germany and learn that this forest is haunted by WEREWOLVES and in it is a village full of WITCHES with cursed amulets and potions and whatever

and the immediate vibe is "lol what a bunch of bogus" which is really just batshit coming from the kid with a demon butler

and then woah big reveal! it wasn't werewolves or witches it was a covert military operation REPLETE with radar tracking (not a thing until wwii) and electronic displays (most likely crt screens, which again weren't fully developed until the 1930s) and TANKS. for reference the first "tank" was put together by a guy in 1899 who mounted a machine gun to THIS

absolute paragon of engineering. the panzer (the exact model of tank in the arc) was not a thing until wwi.

and. and ciel and ESPECIALLY the Demon Butler in question are like. ohhhh yeah that makes more sense. the amulets were just transmitting our exact locations through technology that won't exist for another three decades. whew glad we sorted that one out. man wouldn't it have been CRAZY if it really was werewolves.

omg I finally finished it. I was torn in wondering if this was out of character for Lizzy but my final concusion is that she's a kid and your parents being romantic is gross no matter what you like. lil headcanon ♡
