DUDE- I'M SO LATE TO THE PARTY-
NEVERMIND, I MISSED THE PARTY- A MAN CAN'T EVEN DISSAPPEAR OFF THE FACE OF THE INTERNET/SILLY-
BUT I CANT BELIEVE, THEY KILLED OFF GOD ECLIPSE-
I HAVE SO MANY EMOTIONS ABOUT THIS, ACTUALLY/POS-
Theres something so poetic about it?? I'm not even sure, how to describe it!
It was Dark Sun, that killed him. It was a version of someone, he considered as valuable as the dust covering his books.
He was deceived and murdered by someone, who bore the face of his servant. Someone, he considered beneath him, a mere plaything in the face of immortality.
And he died, by being thrown off a cliff.
He has the power of creation. He is the closest to being a god as he can be. He is an immortal being, that fought and survived a storm of destruction, seeking to plummet his universe into the deepest abyss.
And yet, he was killed like it was nothing. Sun did not even bother to do it himself. He simply let him fall.
The most ironic part is, that it's not Sun that killed him. Sure, he was the one that threw him into the depths, but that wasn't what sealed his fate.
It was his own hubris. His arrogance left him to believe, he was invincible, and it cost him everything.
And yet, even in death, he still manages to send a message, voice sounding just as prideful and smug!
His ending was a quick, unexpected thing.
But despite that, it was perfect Because of the irony.
The universe truly seems to have a sense of humor.
Also, though you've already mentioned it…HE KILLED HIS SUN, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AND RESET HIM TO ZERO EVERY SINGLE TIME-
IT'S SO FASCINATING, ACTUALLY?? THIS HAS SO MANY IMPLICATIONS-
OG ECLIPSES SEEM TO FOLLOW A PATTERN-
-Stardust
BAHAHAUSGAIF NO YOURE SO FINE I GET IT IM HANDSHAKING U TBH BUT ALSO YESYESYYES YES!!!!!!!
IM STILL FLABBERGASTED BY IT TOO TBH LIKE HOLY SHIT????? AND GHOD YEAH NO THERE'S ABSOLUTELY A POETIC VIBE TO IT YESYESYES
All ur points EXACTLYYY!!!! His death is such a wildly intriguing and fun scenario all around. I'd like to maybe highlight too, the fact that they both view each other as inherently lesser???
Dark Sun thinks all Eclipses are just as unruly as Moons, and Lord Eclipse views his Sun as lesser as can possibly be. BUT exactly like you said, because of Eclipse's own hubris, he let his guard down and paid the price for it. He cared so little for his own Sun that he didn't clock any of Dark Sun's acting, he just thought he was looking at something that wouldn't fight back.
AND YEA YEA YEA HIS TREATMENT OF SUNVANT AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
I'M STILL SO DEEPLY UNWELL ABOUT THAT. I have been slow cooking it in my brain ever since I saw the episode because that is the BEST possible outcome for me, I eat that shit UPPPPP!!!!! AND ON TOP OF THAT ACTUALLY WAIT WAIT. I wrote this in the lord eclipse discord a bit ago but:
sunvant was worthless enough to not learn the deeper quirks of but worthwhile enough to keep around for so long. sunvant was worthless enough to kill but worthwhile enough to bring back. sunvant was worthless enough to rid the world of entirely but worthwhile enough to stop when "sunvant" begged for him to wait.
DO YOU GET ME. DO YOU SEE MY VISION. WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS I'M GOING TO SLAM MY HEAD INTO A WALL /POS
