Padis Jewelry is proud to be a recognized elite retailer for A.JAFFE, which means we offer a more extensive design selection than other retailers. Meticulously designed and masterfully crafted, A.JAFFE engagement rings can be customized to “represent the woman who wears it.” The designs of the rings range from vintage to modern, antique to contemporary and are crafted to be admired from every angle.
A.JAFFE was established in 1892 when A. Abraham Jaffe set up a shop in downtown New York City and was one of the first jewelers to move his business to West 47th Street, which became an epicenter for the international jewelry world. Every master jeweler working for the company has at least ten years’ experience and has been trained in the skills and knowledge passed down through the generations. Each A.JAFFE ring takes up to 80 hours to create and includes the jeweler’s signature design, “a subtle squaring of the shank to minimize twisting and maximize comfort.”
All of the diamonds in an A.JAFFE design are mined in countries that fully participate in the Kimberley Process Certification scheme, which is the international system in place to eliminate the trade of "conflict diamonds." Also A.JAFFE jewelry is set in gold that is 100% nickel free to ensure they are hypo-allergenic. Their 18 karat white gold is alloyed with 40% more palladium than other jewelers to ensure their rings remain bright white for many years to come.
Once you visit our website to browse our A.JAFFE collection, we invite you to come in to one of our three showrooms in downtown San Francisco or our store in St. Helena, CA in Napa Valley. Jewelry this stunning must be seen in person.
Since 1974, Padis Jewelry has been a trusted source for buying exquisite certified loose diamonds, engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are one of the only jewelers in the area that offers such an exclusive selection of top names in the industry as well as such a large inventory. If you are a lover of beautiful jewels, please schedule a visit to San Francisco and the Napa Valley’s finest jewelry showrooms.

The Top Engagement Ring Settings and Style Trends to Follow in 2022
Whether you are looking for the perfect modern engagement ring for yourself or your fiancé, the ring style and setting are perhaps two key considerations that will determine what ring you choose.
If you simply walk into a jewelry store without knowing the ABCs of ring shopping, the journey can be quite overwhelming. However, if you have some basic knowledge about base metals, stone shapes, cost and the 4 C’s of diamonds, the process of selecting a ring can be quite easy.
Before you head out to your nearest jeweler or visit a jewelry website, attempt to research these terms so that you know what to look for. You can, then, set realistic expectations, be aware of your budget, and know what questions to ask.
The Best Engagement Ring Settings and Styles for 2022
Now that we have quickly touched upon the basics, it is time to dive right into ring styles and settings. On that note, let us take a look at some of the most trending and modern engagement ring settings and styles that have ruled 2021 and, in all likeliness, will spill over into 2022.
The top diamond engagement ring setting types include the following –
Prong and solitaire setting
Tiffany setting
Bezel setting
Bar setting
Flush setting
Channel setting
Halo setting
Eternity band setting
Infinity setting
Tension setting
Pave setting
Cathedral setting
Three-stone setting
Antique setting
Cluster setting
Split-shank
While each type of gemstone setting has its own set of advantages (and maybe a couple of potential disadvantages), it is important that you understand them well before making a buying decision. A simple Google search will throw up hundreds of thousands of images and references that you can use to determine what kind of setting works best for you. The ring you choose depends on your personal tastes and preferences (and your budget cap).
5 Trending Engagement Ring Styles and Settings
1. The Classic Solitaire
2. The Cathedral
3. Stackable Rings
4. Hidden Halos
5. Petite Micropave
The good-old classic solitaire diamond ring is truly timeless. Irrespective of age, trends, and innovations, this particular style of the diamond ring continues to be a raging hit among women. As they rightly say… trend-driven styles will come and go, but a classic diamond ring is forever.
Similar to a solitaire setting but with the addition of arched metal to support the stone, the cathedral has a regal old-world charm that works wonderfully for brides who want to opt for a traditional look.
At A.JAFFE, we believe that stack is the new black! Stacked bands are great if you want an elaborate setup on your ring finger or wish to experiment with different rings that create a seamless look when stacked together.
A hidden halo is not actually hidden – the term refers to tiny pavé diamonds wrapped snugly around the center stone, creating a unified, sparkly focal point. Hidden halo rings are growing in popularity not only because they are unique and novel, but also because the said halo effectively accentuates the center stone while offering flashes of sparkle from around it.
Visualize a twinkling series of tiny diamonds that are pavé-set on a delicate yellow gold, silver, white gold, or rose gold ring with minimalistic shared prongs – now who would not want a ring like that? The petite micropavé setting for diamond rings is trending at the moment and we do not see this trend fading away anytime soon!
Apart from these five trending styles and settings, the 2022 engagement and wedding season is expected to be big on the following diamond ring trends –
Pear-shaped, fancy-colored diamonds that stand in stark contrast with regular rings
Accented pavé-set diamonds that glitter along the shank of the engagement ring
Four- or six-pronged solitaire (platinum prongs), a top choice for brides-to-be
Intricately hand-engraved motifs or designs that can be customized
Brushed or two-toned base metals for those who love to experiment
Bezel-set diamond engagement rings for that clean, elegant look
Black diamonds complemented by dark metals for a truly wicked and unique look
Modern engagement rings come in a massive range of makes, designs, shapes, sizes, and forms. What appeals to your individualistic taste and fits your budget should be the ultimate determinant that helps you make an informed purchasing decision.
Who Should You Buy Your Diamond Engagement Ring From?
While we have listed a number of factors that play an integral role in your ring selection process, do not forget about the vendor. Yes, of course, who you buy your engagement ring from will also make a world of difference.
