A Revival of Spirit

Harry, surrounded on each side by his closest friends, steps out of the Headmaster's office and is suddenly confronted with the cold, hard, almost unimaginable fact that it is all over. Everything he fought for, everything he stands for, everything he'd believed in for the past seven years was won, it was over, and he hasn't even reached his eighteenth birthday yet. As they walk down the halls, avoiding eye contact with the bodies strewn helplessly across the floor, trying not to notice the walls that once held them close and have now crumbled down, purposefully not stepping in the blood that pools and runs in small streams across the floor, Harry feels a sudden feeling of unease, like he's misplaced something important but he can't remember exactly what.
The highlands call him home. He walks towards nothing and away from everything.
