hi!! so this isn't actually the case as while gourdy was briefly mentioned in a trial, said trial had nothing to do with whether or not gourdy was "real" per se as much as. well. murder, actually. while gourdy WAS found out to be an inflatable steel samurai this was not brought up in the case at all as the veracity of gourdy wasn't really as relevant as the fact that the witness was looking for gourdy rather than at the murder she claimed to have seen. plus this was also a relatively small part of a MUCH larger trial which for those interested not only solved the dl-6 case but ALSO marked the end of prosecutor von karma's ~40 year long record and the court records are really a fascinating read through!!

of which chapter -55 (hunger) was imagined as a multiparted longer story, jumping around different points in caesi's life with highs and mostly lows before getting to the part where Reality breaks him in half mentally and the text fizzles out into a spaceless stream of conciousness with gibberish overtaking the dialouge before it's blank. next part has radon trying to figure out what was going on, finding caesi holed up in radon's office before it reveals caesi's total and completely shattered lucidity.

in older writings of the series ive made, there's a frequent idea that each of the marked mews each decayed at their own powers, tyrant god doing it on purpose or not was debated upon. i really really still like that idea. while its shown in canon that Mew of Reality (REALITY/Reality for short, that's what i call em) did tamper and manipulate at least one of them to go down a darker path, i still, still LOVE the idea that each of the insane/villianous marked mews all fell to their own hubris or some kind of break that was already there.

sometimes i feel like oldeer writing of mine is cooler, wah. also, i regret not archiving some of my older works. Rip two very cool stories with cool concepts, lost forever in the chat logs of DA.
