       allura remembers all too well how people tend to act when one is grieving. she can still clearly recall ( really, if she thinks about it, it wasn’t all that long ago, but those are wounds best left unopened, especially with another loss still so fresh ) the KID GLOVES she, kima, and drake had been subject to when they returned with half their party gone. losing them had been hard enough, but the coddling... well, she understood why kima felt the need to leave, much as it broke her heart. so she just doesn’t mention it, figures if vex wants to talk about it, she’ll bring it up.

        a small smile curls at the corners of allura’s lips. oh, how her heart nearly ACHES with the familiarity. she makes a note to herself that she should reach out to the de rolos, check in on whitestone. it’s been far too long since she’s checked on the last young artificer that came across her path. for now though, this one is more than enough to bring her joy. ❝ WELL THEN... i’ll be sure to be very careful with it. thank you, henry. kima will be THRILLED to have a new weapon to experiment with, i’m sure. ❞
