Carl Terrell Mitchell (November 27, 1973) known by his stage name Twista (formerly Tung Twista) is a rapper. He is known for his chopper style of rapping and for once holding the title of fastest English-speaking rapper in the world according to Guinness World Records in 1992, being able to pronounce 598 syllables in 55 seconds.

In 1997, after appearing on the hit single “Po Pimp”, he signed with Big Beat and Atlantic Records, where he released his third album Adrenaline Rush, and formed the group Speedknot Mobstaz, in 1998. His 2004 album Kamikaze topped the US Billboard 200, after the success of the Billboard Hot 100 #1 single “Slow Jamz”.

He was born and grew up in the K-Town area of the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago and began rapping at the age of 12.

He was married (1991-99) and had a daughter with his ex-wife.

He and his team Get Money Gang worked together with Chicago Food Bank’s Produce mobile program to feed hungry people in the community.

He is a gun enthusiast, has an Illinois Concealed Carry License, and is a US Concealed Carry Association and National Rifle Association of America certified instructor. Trick Daddy is standing by his controversial opinions on Jay-Z and Beyoncé. When he hopped on air at 99 Jamz Miami Tuesday, he clarified the statements he made in recently surfaced Clubhouse audio, nearly word-for-word. “What I said was I don’t think Beyoncé could sing and that Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to the state of hip-hop in New York at the time that Jay-Z began considering himself as the king of hip-hop, the G.O.A.T. of rap, which is my opinion,” Trick elaborated. “And opinions like buttholes: Without them, you’ll be full of doo-doo. That’s my unpopular opinion. Who are you? How you feel? If you gotta walk around here worrying about how somebody else feel about how you feel, then you ain’t who you are. That’s my opinion.” The recording starts with Trick Daddy criticizing the Lemonade artst “because she see money” and “ain’t trying to give back to music or nothing.” That’s when the rapper moved on to his most controversial take. “Beyoncé don’t write music and barely can sing her motherfuckin’ self. Beyoncé can’t sing,” he said. The 46-year-old went on to explain his feelings about Jay, sharing that he felt New York huddled around the rapper after Biggie’s death, and that he doesn’t think Hov should be on a “greatest rapper alive” level. “Man, I watched my godmama train Beyoncé, vocal lessons all her career,” Trick said. “I’mma give an unpopular opinion right now: Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to New York. Khaled Mohammed Khaled (November 26, 1975) known professionally as DJ Khaled, is a disc jockey, record producer, and record executive. A Miami-based radio hype man, he has become known for his curation of high-profile music industry artists and producers to record singles or albums.

He first gained recognition as a radio host in the 1990s on the radio station 99 Jamz and worked with Terror Squad as a DJ for their live performances. He released his debut album, Listennn... the Album. His second album, We the Best, spawned the hit single “I’m So Hood”. His two releases — We Global and Victory charted within the top ten of the Billboard 200, “All I Do Is Win”, which was certified triple platinum.

His fifth studio album We the Best Forever helped bring him to mainstream prominence as it contained the single “I’m on One”, which became his first Billboard Hot 100 top ten hit. His three albums, Kiss the Ring, Suffering from Success, and I Changed a Lot, were released. He gained recognition as a media personality and Internet meme due to his activity on social media. The release of his ninth studio album Major Key, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and yielded his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album.

His tenth album Grateful, became his second consecutive #1 album and was preceded by his most successful singles to date: “I’m the One” and “Wild Thoughts”, peaked at #1 and #2 respectively on the Billboard Hot 100. His eleventh album, Father of Asahd contained the song “Higher”, which won Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, his first Grammy Award win. He released his twelfth album, which peaked at the Billboard 200, likewise with his thirteenth album, God Did.

He is the author of The Keys, featured on the New York Times Best Seller list. He appeared in Spies in Disguise and Bad Boys for Life. His record label, We the Best Music Group, released his projects, and he signed other artists to the imprint.
