My crush dressed up as Johnny Cage from the 96 film and acted like my biggest fan while I was singing for our friend's 90s themed birthday party, and it was awesome. I'm still kinda recovering from the adrenaline rush. Weeks before the party, I told him Mortal Kombat was my favorite film as a kid and that I wanted to marry everyone in that film just like a giant nerd 🤓 only for him to come to the party he knew I'd be at cosplaying as the hero from my favorite film, purposefully looking and acting like the guy he knew I wanted to marry. I loved every minute of it!

I also didn't show how much I really loved it because his girlfriend was there too :-p Keeping quiet and not just squeeing my lungs out about it sucked, like being excited over Kombat nerdery is such a core aspect of my personality that supressing that part of myself was honestly just... so incredibly exhausting. And the worst part is he maybe thinks I wasn't impressed when I was ABSOLUTELY elated and smitten. I gotta tell him how awesome it was. At home after the party I was in bed all wiggling and giddy and kicking my feet texting my friends about what happened 🙃

I doubt that he secretly reads this blog but if so lemme just say to him that I'm sorry that I gotta curb my enthusiasm so much in front of your girlfriend and please just keep being friends with me anyway because you're awesome and I love you 😍 💖

Alice D'Amato, from the Italian Women's Gymnastics Team, was flying during her routine. Check this pass out!! How do people do this and make it look easy? So cool 😎 a triple twist. Magnificent!! 😁 Alice is part of the team who won the first medal in the all around team event for Italy for the first time in 96 years!!! Very impressive, indeed!!! 😍 I really like this girl. She's very intense and very, very good. I, truly, enjoy watching these women compete. They are so talented, and they put their heart and soul into their craft. Annyi krumplibogár volt körülöttünk a bokrokon, mikor kézzel szedtük (nem permetezve volt akkoriban), hogy Spielberg sírt volna kameráért ha látja!

Örültünk ha a tojást csupasz kézzel még melegen vihettük be az ólból a házba és kesztyűből is csak télit láttunk, eszünkbe sem jutott nyáron, kesztyű!😏

Ha "vágás" volt a háznál, mostunk belet, ettünk sült vért. Ha szüret, akkor meg ittunk mustot fosásig.😂

Ha zöld volt a gyümölcs, zölden ettük. Ha megérett, akkor úgy is jó volt!

Ha elpusztult egy állat elástuk a kert végében és nem jött érte senki.

Ha ritkították a házkörüli négylábúakat, tudtuk, hogy az a rend és másnap már nem is beszéltünk róla. De a hasznos, szövetséges kis kedvenceinknek mind nevet adtunk és velünk éltek életük végéig .☝️

Also I guess to make up for Silent Night having exactly zero Jily content (i hope you enjoy it nevertheless, but it's about Hope Lupin and a very young Remus, not a jily treat)

Petunia mumbling something cut off her rambling thoughts. “That hair, it’s simply all over the place.” She shook her head. “At least he’s on time.”

Lily wondered who could be considered on time by Petunia, when they clearly had already missed the wedding ceremony and the cutting of the cake.

“Hello, James,” said Petunia as she released Lily from the awkward embrace. 

Lily turned to the door. James was in the doorway, he looked like a character straight out of a movie or a book, his silhouette highlighted by the glow of the sunlight streaming into the room. The corner of her lips twitched at the thought of Frogman, so much cooler than Batman and a million times better than bloody prince Charming out there. 

He was smiling at them, even if she noted the smallest movement with his eyebrow, as if he asked her, wordlessly “Alright Lily?”. She wasn’t alright, not even close, but she could only nod, it was a hell of a lot better now he was here too. 

He wore a tuxedo, one that fit him well, Lily noticed, his black lapel shining a little in the light, an echo to his raven black hair, which looked like it always did, untameable and rather wild. Lily didn’t mind, honestly she wondered if Petunia really cared. Behind his dark framed glasses, sitting steady on a straight nose, she found his eyes and the lines of laughter that she longed to see. His lopsided smile reeled her in, like a fisherman hauling up his nets from the ocean, and she was already half way the room when his arms opened to pick her up and turn her a full circle. 

“You look absolutely stunning, Lily,” he said in a low voice only she could hear. His eyes darkened and for a moment Lily wondered if he had forgotten they weren’t alone.
