I was doing the S1 rewatch because I've seen around people complaining about Hen and Buck’s supposedly getting closer in s6 instead of seeing buddie more.

But the thing is Buck and Hen have always been close.

Hen has been the older sister to Buck from the beginning. (Not to replace Maddie, of course, but Maddie wasn't there for Buck in S1, and later, when she came, she had and still has her own problems.)

Hen talked Buck through his first wild weeks when Bobby wanted and did fire him, they played games on the tv together.

They helped Bobby through his rehab and basically developed a siblings relationship where the two of them, along with Chimney, wore Bobby down until he lowered his defenses and let them in.

A cute big sister Hen moment is when Abby comes to the firehouse for the first time and Hen is giving her the third degree, while embarrassing the hell out of Buck and seizing her up on whether she is worthy of her younger brother.

It's not for nothing that Aisha and Oliver are close, they were in this together from the beginning.

Now in S6, Eddie is just getting out of a rough patch and finally looks to be feeling better, same thing with Maddie.

The two closest people in the world to Buck are finally feeling better, and he doesn't want to burden them with his issues.

(A lot like in 5x11 when Eddie sees Buck laughing with the team and walks away because he didn't want to bring Buck's mood down - also fair chance that he was jealous of Lucy, like Buck was of Lena in S3.)

Buck originally went to Hen about the sperm donor thing because she and Karen had been there, and he wanted to know more.

But also Hen is a sounding board to Buck and an excellent secret keeper.

If we're looking farther back Hen was the one to welcome Buck back to the firehouse after the lawsuit and was also the one to stand up for him with Bobby, pointing out respectfully that Bobby is just being an overprotective dad (being respectful while calling him an idiot the entire time 😉).

Buck's connection to Hen is different than the one he shares with Eddie, for obvious reasons.

Imo, the sperm donor issue, falls under the same category as the gfs did. They don't talk about these things. I'm getting more and more convinced that for Buck, Taylor, Lucy, helping another couple to start a family, it must feel like sort of betraying Eddie.

Because they do talk about everything else, the year of possibilities, making captain, Buck's parents, Eddie’s family, everything involving Christopher, and so many other things we don't see but learn that they have talked about them.

When Eddie reluctantly tries to ask Buck about the donation, Buck looks almost traumatized lol which is the exact opposite reaction he had when he talked to Hen.

When Chimney tried to ask, Buck had a "nope, I'm not doing this with you, shut up" look.

But Eddie is different. He falls under husband category, and I will not take any arguments to the contrary.

Now the Buck and Eddie's communication and relationship this season is a whole other post.

But in the spirit of S1 parallels, Hen and Athena are finding their friendship groove again, and Buck reclaims his sibling bond with Hen again.

That doesn't make her more important than Eddie. In fact, it'll probably make her vital to the buddie pairing because if Buck confessed his love for a certain gorgeous medic/firefighter, it would definitely be to Hen.

I will hazard a guess that when Buck gets hurt and ends up in the hospital, we will most likely get a Hen trying to comfort Eddie and be with him until he can see Buck.

Eddie hair - been thinking about Eddie’s s4 & 5A hairstyle - it’s totally the hairstyle of a man trying over hard to be heteronormative isn’t it!

Like it’s the very definition of clean cut straight man (a la 1940’s captain America) and it’s super interesting in relation to the s3 ‘cut it super short in my grief’ style and the 5b queer cut we have coming up!

The full list of cars for Gran Turismo Sport has just been announced. Gamers will be able to choose from a total of 162 cars.

While, the list of cars won’t particularly excite enthusiasts at first glance, there are some noticeably interesting cars in the lineup including the recently revealed Fittipaldi EF7, Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak and Porsche 919 Hybrid. There is a whole bunch of Gran Turismo specific Vision Gran Turismo cars from different makers, including the recently announced McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo.

Cars like the Bugatti Chiron, Mclaren P1, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 488, Porsche 911 GT2 RS and Mclaren 720S which are present in other recently released games are missing from Gran Turismo Sport’s lineup.

Also, the 162 cars aren’t all different models but include different versions of the same car, like four different Alfa Romeo 4C Models and no less than five Ford Mustang variants. The list will be down to 86 cars if only individual car models are counted.

Finally got to watch the new 911 episode,

Before I start dissecting all my thoughts and creating gifs and finding parallels,

There are four things that captured me in this episode,

1. HENREN!!! 🤩❤️🥳 Where there are Hen and Karen, I'm there!! I love these two ladies!! They are my favorite established couple in this show, second only to bathena.

I loved every second of them! It has been so long since we got more than a glimpse of them, in a storyline concerning them as a couple and not just their trials as parents.

Don't get me wrong, I love Denny, and I absolutely adored Nia, and Toni is my favorite Grammy of all times, but we haven't gotten a storyline concerning just Henren being Henren since s1.

I am grateful for this episode! Thank you henren gods 🙏😉😍❤️

2. Eddie and May! I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is the friendship I didn't know I needed!

Such a lovely side effect of Eddie leaving the 118 for a while.

I think May for Eddie was like a life raft inside dispatch, that little piece of normalcy on an unfamiliar and at times unwelcoming place.

And over time, Eddie became a sort of older brother/sounding board to May.

I'm here for all of it!!

This episode's interaction was so sweet, May being unsure of the path before her and her choices, and Eddie showing that therapy does in fact does its job, he's not all the way there yet, but he's got pearls of wisdom now that he can pass on to May to try and help her where he himself is stuck.

Them trying to find their way together, is so sweet.

I want more!!🤗🤗

3. That scene with the mother and the girls, I was sobbing!! 😭😭😭 I needed to pause and calm down before I finished the watch. I'm still tearing up thinking about it.

I have seen so many parallels in this scene, but the thought that stood out the most was brought by Buck's question, how will they tell the girls?

And Chimney saying that this is not something a stranger should do, it's a job for their father.

I was thinking about Buck going to Christopher and having to tell him about Eddie.

And Buck leaving the dark room at the scene , shoulders bent forward, his whole being look sad and pained, I thought how he's maybe itching to call Eddie, just to check in, and maybe, probably, stop by after their shift to see his partner and Christopher(son).

I would have been less than surprised if we got Buck's name popping up on Eddie’s screen later on while Eddie’s at work and Buck back at the station.

The real kick to the feels though, was how when it was required of him, the heavy feeling of knowing their mom is dead and not being able to show his own grief, Buck climbs into the truck with his face shifted into a warm and welcoming smile.

For the litte girls. Sadly the oldest already understood why the sirens weren't on, and that just broke me.

Because being the oldest in my family, I can say from experience, that the oldest always knows, there is no luxury of ignorant bliss, and I really just wanted to hug that poor girl. 😭😭😭😭

4. Last but not in the least, least, 😂

Buckley siblings to the win!!💖💖💖 I mean, I missed them so much!! That sibling love is like freaking oxygen, it's so sweet, and sincere and loving.

Maddie did indeed do an amazing job with Buck and she will be amazing with Jee-Yun.

Now... if only we can get her back to Chimney... 😉❤️

Overall, even though we had no Buck and Eddie interaction (I mean we got so many of it last couple of episodes, it felt like withdrawal at first), buddie was very present in this episode.

So many callbacks and parallels.
