I can tell i don't grind my teeth in my sleep cuz when I grind my teeth my jaw hurts
And it never hurts when I wake up
Only when I've been awake and grinding my teeth without realizing it
#“get a night guard” that wont help#also it wouldnt make my jaw hurt less#when i was wearing retainers i couldnt STOP grinding my teeth#like it might protect my teeth but my jaw is gonna hurt like hell all the time#cuz im gonna be chewing on the night guard#i tried chewelry to get that stimulation but it still makes my jaw hurt which is distracting#chewing gum kinda helps#i still randomly get annoyed at my dentist for suggesting a night guard (especially since it was gonna be like $700 cuz they wanted me#to get one from them)#like bruh thats not gonna fuckin help in my specific case#90% of my tooth grinding is when im AWAKE#the fuck is a night guard gonna do?#do you want me to just wear it 24/7???? cuz thats the only way its gonna help me.
