The number of coronavirus infected in India crossed the 200 mark today after a spike in cases over the past six days. In view of this rising threat, more and more state governments have brought in stringent measures to check the spread of the disease, with many of them imposing curfew-like situation in places that have been hit hard.
In a breather for foreigners stuck in the country, the government has announced the extension of all such visas till April 15th.

THE NUMBERS SO FAR — A total of 206 individuals have been confirmed positive — Maharashtra: 52 positive; 5 people now test negative & will be discharged — Uttar Pradesh: 4 new cases, including popular Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor — West Bengal: New Kolkata case takes total to 2 — Gujarat: 2 from Ahmedabad, 1 from Vadodara tested positive today — Andhra Pradesh: New patient in Visakhapatnam, 3rd in the state — Dehradun: 3 cases reported in Forest Research Institute — Punjab: Mohali woman takes total to 3
