On gengchen [9 May], Yang province routed Xiao Yan's general at Yin Mountain, and beheaded his Dragon Prancing General Wu Daoshuang and others, numbering several thousand.

The state of Wuji tributed coarse arrows.

On xinchou [27 September], travelled to favour Henan City's detached palace.

Winter, 11thMonth, renzi [7 December], Yang province greatly routed Xiao Yan's army, beheaded his Inspector of Xu province, Pan Dianlian, and seized Sima Mingsu. [or “Marshal Ming Su.”]

On jiwei [14 December], used the Heir to the state of Wuxing, Yang Shaoxian, as King of his state.

On guihai [18 December], deceed the Supervisor of the Left of the Masters of Writing, Yuan Huai, to console and reassure the Dai Capital and northern garrisons, and aid and help in accordance with the region.

Recently some on their own make increases or reductions, discarding, tumbling down, and do not acting. Some defend the old and neglect the proper, and at the time are contrary and obstructing. Some at their post divide up disorder and chaos, mutually pushing forward delegating to each other. Should send down to the hundred ministers, to classify their suspicions about faults, and swiftly hence memorialise their knowledge.

On guimao [27 January], Xiao Yan's Inspector of Liang#, the State-Founding Marquis of Pingyang county, Zhai Yuan, and Inspector of Xu province, the State-Founding Marquis of Yongchang county, Chen Huya, surrendered.
