It's fire season. Let's talk.
So, it's fire season here in Alberta. Came early, of course. People are still recovering from last year, and the fires that raged through the off season.
So, let's not be upset when all the smoke comes. People closer have it worse. Wear my KN95 masks, respirators, get your home an air purifier. Donate if and when you can to anything but the Red Cross.
If you're in an area that frequently sees fires, please pack your emergency kit now. You need AT LEAST 72 hours worth of food, water, and medication for EACH member of your family, including your pets. I suggest up to a week if you can. If you have a vehicle, make sure your lights all work, make sure your emergency kit is in there, and your registration and insurance.
Your emergency kit should include and home/tenant insurance, pictures of things you want back/would want replaced (like xboxes, tvs, etc). Make sure it's up to date. You want health info for each member of your family, and copies of every single important document for them. This includes birth certificates, health care cards, health insurance cards, sin numbers, etc.
If you have pets, you want to have documentation of vaccinations, and please have your animals up to date on their vacinations and dewormers.
If you do not have a vehicle, then you need to contact somebody around you and talk about an emergency plan. Will they be able to get to you in time, what will you be able to take with you, etc.
If you live on a farm and have to evacuate, please ensure your animals have an escape route. Whether that's you or an open gate.
Most importantly, take care of eachother. Don't throw your cigarette butts out the window, don't flick your ashes, and don't have a fire if you're not allowed to in your area.
... but if you want to set our premier on fire.... I'm joking. Relax.

I know many of you are having a real "what happens now", post-election panic. There's a lot of fear-mongering happening right now too. I know when my anxiety spikes, action can often be a good deterrent, and so I'll offer you the actions I, and my friends, have taken.
Order copies of all your documents. Birth certificates, social security cards, passport (if you have one), marriage license, divorce papers, all the paperwork that tells others that you exist. I got three copies - one for me, one for my partner, and then our master copy.
Get a real ID at minimum, a North American travel card, or a passport. No, really. First of all, you have just ordered all the documents for a real ID, you may as well use them! In many states that upgrade to your license is under $10 for a duplicate, in some places it is free. The travel card is cheeper than the passport, gets you on a plane and through both northern and southern borders, and again, you have all the documents! The passport gives you more travel options. It is also a great document to have handy if you are applying for new jobs, may as well get one if your budget and circumstance allow.
Document your decision makers - in most cases, parents or a spouse makes financial and medical decisions if you can not. This is generally a given. But, if you have concerns about court decisions being overturned, it hurts nothing, and costs very little, to draw up the paperwork for a medical power of attorney. Document, by name, who you want making those decisions.
Get a will - now, this sounds extreme, but frankly, every adult should have one. If you have pets, children, shared property - you need a will! Even married people need a will, in the best of times. There are will-in-a-box lawyers everywhere, your workplace may offer legal insurance that includes a will, there are even online versions, though I would prefer you do that with an attorney to ensure the fullest force. Then, if your worst fears are realized, you still have that legal document to back up your desires.
Keep cash on hand - I have a friend who is better off than I am, financially. He is planning to keep both Mexican and Canadian currency in case he needs to hop the border. Some choose gold or silver, some go with jewelry. This is more radical - personally, I just like to have enough cash on hand for a nice dinner or a tank of gas. Not always financially possible, but a goal I work towards.
Ensure you have a 72-hour kit. FEMA recommends everyone have one for disaster anyway, floods, tornadoes, hurricane, or just a heavy winter storm. A minimum of 3 days of shelf-stable food, water, and clothing. If possible, increase that supply to a week. because in a disaster, that's how long you may need to be self sufficient. And if you need it for other reasons, it's there, you have it, and can rest a bit easier.
Someone I saw today suggested a garden, yes, even a winter garden. You can grow herbs and lettuce indoors, if necessary. In some southern climates, a cold frame may be all that's needed. But make plans for some summer plants. Even in an apartment, a pot full of tomatoes and peppers and perhaps even a zucchini can greatly increase your food options if prices skyrocket. (I mean more than they already have.) Be creative, check with your neighbors or even online (carefully) for some ideas to make it work!
If you have a lawyer, a financial advisor, or other professional, they can help you with what you need to protect the partner in your life. If not, start with the above list. It gives you something to work at to still your current anxiety, makes you a more fully functioning adult, and those steps are all recommended anyway - no wasted effort. Simply consolidating things you should already be doing.
Please friends, do not panic. I've been on this planet a few decades now, and I can tell you that my worst fears have never come true. Do take action to quell your own concerns - the above list may not be for you, but there are likely very reasonable things you can do to address your own concerns. In the end, things are likely going to work out. I saw a post today that reminded everyone that there were people who lived very decent lives as the Roman Empire was collapsing.

VITAL RECORDS – ID, proof that your children are yours, proof of medical insurance, vaccine records, marriage records, and insurance records for your house and car. If possible, make copies of records for everyone in your household so that there are multiple copies. – Cloth sheet
– Immunization card

Be Ready, Be Safe: Emergency Kit Essentials for Los Angeles Homeowners
Living in Los Angeles offers an incredible lifestyle, but with it comes unique natural risks—earthquakes, wildfires, and power outages. For every homeowner, emergency preparedness is key to protecting your home and family. Creating a solid emergency kit can make a huge difference in your resilience and peace of mind.
Why Emergency Preparedness Matters
With LA’s history of earthquakes, wildfire seasons, and power outages, a well-prepared emergency kit is essential. It reduces risk, minimizes stress, and keeps you prepared for the unexpected. Building a kit that meets your family’s needs ensures you’re ready for any situation.
Building the Basics
For LA residents, a reliable emergency kit should include essentials to cover at least 72 hours:
First Aid: Essentials like bandages, antiseptics, and any prescription medications.
Food & Water: Three days of non-perishable food and a gallon of water per person per day.
Lighting & Power: Flashlights, LED lanterns, and portable chargers with extra batteries or solar chargers.
Communication: Battery-powered or hand-crank radios help stay informed when the cell service fails.
Customize for Family Needs
Each household is unique. Customize your kit to meet specific needs:
For Families: Baby formula, diapers, and comforting toys for kids; medications or mobility aids for seniors.
For Pets: Food, water, leash, and toys for your furry family members.
For Accessibility: Mobility equipment, extra hearing aid batteries, or other specific health devices.
LA-Specific Essentials
Los Angeles is prone to earthquakes and wildfires, so consider additional items:
Earthquake Supplies: Gloves, dust masks, safety goggles, and a crowbar.
Wildfire Readiness: N95 masks and evacuation route maps for high-risk fire zones.
Evacuation Go Bag: Important documents, cash, snacks, and toiletries packed for fast exits.
Maintaining Your Kit
Regular updates are key to keeping your emergency kit ready. Check expiration dates on food, water, and batteries every six months. Make seasonal adjustments (sunscreen in summer, blankets in winter) and update for any family changes, like new members or health needs.
As an LA homeowner, being prepared with a comprehensive emergency kit brings security and readiness for anything. Make sure your kit covers core essentials and is customized to your household’s needs. With a solid plan and the right supplies, you’re ready to handle LA’s unique challenges and protect your home and family. With resources like Terrakan at your disposal, you can enhance your emergency readiness and gain peace of mind knowing that you’re ready for anything Los Angeles might bring.

Preparing for the Unforeseen: Building the Ultimate Bug Out Bag with Echo-Sigma
In a world where emergencies can strike at any moment, preparedness isn’t just wise—it’s essential. Whether it’s a natural disaster, civil unrest, or an unexpected evacuation, having a bug-out bag ready to grab and go can make all the difference. Echo-Sigma, a top provider of survival gear, specializes in crafting high-quality bug-out bags and survival kits that offer peace of mind for any situation. Echo Sigma’s offerings are designed to ensure you’re ready for anything from budget-friendly kits to premium survival packs.
What Is a Bug Out Bag and Why Is It Vital?
A bug-out bag is a compact, ready-to-go emergency kit stocked with everything you might need to survive for at least 72 hours when immediate evacuation or relocation is necessary. Think of it as your portable lifeline, designed to sustain you and offer basic comforts while you get to a safer location. Echo Sigma’s expertly curated bug-out bags cover the essentials and more, with options that cater to different preparedness levels:
Water and Hydration Solutions: Staying hydrated is the number one priority in any emergency. Your bug-out bag should contain water pouches with long shelf lives, along with portable water filtration tools or purification tablets in case you need to source water on the go. Echo-Sigma includes compact, durable water supplies in its kits, so you’re never left scrambling for clean drinking water.
• Food and Energy Supplies: For immediate survival needs, high-calorie, nutrient-dense food is essential. Echo-Sigma packs its kits with long-lasting food bars or meal packs that provide vital energy without taking up much space. These food options are specifically selected for their longevity and ability to keep you fueled until you can access further resources.
• Shelter and Weather Protection: Exposure to harsh weather can be life-threatening, especially in emergency conditions. Echo-Sigma includes essentials like thermal blankets, lightweight tents, and weatherproof ponchos, which can be used to create temporary shelter and protection from cold, rain, or wind. These compact items ensure you stay warm and dry in any environment.
• First Aid Essentials: Minor injuries can escalate quickly if not treated, especially in stressful or resource-scarce situations. A well-stocked first aid kit with bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and other basic medical supplies is critical. Echo-Sigma includes these essentials in their bug-out bags, equipping you to handle cuts, scrapes, and other minor injuries.
• Light and Fire Tools: Reliable light sources and fire-starting tools are crucial for visibility, warmth, and even cooking. Echo Sigma’s kits often include tactical flashlights with extra batteries, fire-starting gear like waterproof matches, and even small, efficient camping stoves in premium options. These tools enable you to navigate safely in the dark, create warmth, and prepare food as needed.
• Basic Tools and Multi-Purpose Gear: Versatile tools can be lifesaving in emergency scenarios. Echo-Sigma includes multi-tools equipped with knives, screwdrivers, and pliers, as well as paracord, duct tape, and other multipurpose items. These tools help you build shelter, fix equipment, and manage unexpected challenges.
• Navigation and Communication: Staying oriented and informed is key in any emergency. Echo Sigma’s higher-end kits often include compasses, signal mirrors, and even emergency radios, so you can receive important updates and communicate your location if needed. These tools help you maintain direction and stay connected when usual methods are unavailable.
Each of these elements plays a crucial role in keeping you safe and prepared in emergencies. With Echo Sigma’s bug-out bags, you can rest assured that every item has been carefully chosen for durability, functionality, and compactness, giving you a survival kit that’s ready to support you whenever and wherever you need it.
Budget-Friendly vs. Premium Bug Out Bags: Which One is Right for You?
Echo-Sigma offers bug-out bags at various price points to accommodate different preparedness needs.
• Budget Bug Out Bags: For those new to preparedness, Echo Sigma’s basic survival kits include essentials like food, water, first aid, and basic shelter. These budget-friendly kits are designed to give you reliable survival tools without the added cost of advanced features.
• Premium Survival Kits: For those wanting comprehensive coverage, Echo Sigma’s premium bug-out bags are fully stocked with extended supplies and top-quality tools. You’ll find additional items like emergency radios, advanced medical supplies, and extra rations, making these kits ideal for those who prioritize thorough preparedness and longer-duration support.
How Echo Sigma Stands Out in Apocalyptic Survival Gear
In a crowded market, Echo-Sigma differentiates itself by prioritizing quality, durability, and thoughtful design. Each item in their bug-out bags is hand-selected for resilience and functionality. They focus on compact, multi-purpose items, maximizing the value and utility of each kit. Whether you’re preparing for natural disasters, economic instability, or worst-case scenarios, Echo Sigma’s survival gear offers peace of mind, knowing that your kit is built to perform under pressure.
Pointers to Maintain Your Bug Out Bag
Once you’ve selected your bug-out bag, it’s important to keep it updated and maintained:
1. Check Expiration Dates: Food, water, and first-aid supplies have limited shelf lives. Echo-Sigma kits include items with extended expiration dates, but it’s still a good practice to check them annually and replace them as needed.
2. Personalize Your Kit: While Echo Sigma provides a robust foundation, consider adding personal items like medication, copies of important documents, or family-specific needs.
3. Practice Using Your Gear: Familiarize yourself with the items in your bag, such as learning how to use the multi-tool, emergency radio, or fire starter. This helps you respond quickly in real situations.
Peace of mind with Echo-Sigma
Selecting the best bug-out bag isn’t just about having a ready-made survival kit; it’s about finding one that aligns with your specific needs. Echo Sigma’s extensive range—from budget kits to premium survival packs—caters to all preparedness levels. Whether you’re a beginner looking for essential emergency supplies or an experienced prepper wanting an advanced survival kit, Echo-Sigma provides options that combine quality with practicality.
Why Preparedness Matters?
In times of uncertainty, preparation is the ultimate form of self-reliance. Having a well-stocked bug-out bag means you’re ready to handle the unexpected with confidence, whether it’s a natural disaster, power outage, or sudden evacuation. Echo Sigma’s survival kits are designed to provide not only the essentials but also a sense of security, knowing you’re equipped with quality gear for any emergency. (Capital one day before the typhoon arrives)
The damage from Typhoon Yagi is incredibly devastating. It’s said that Yagi lashed Northern Vietnam for five hours, yet the destruction it left behind is comparable to five years of damages caused by COVID-19. While the final reports are still pending, I can already feel that the country’s economy will take considerable time to recover.
Right now, I'm in between jobs, not starting my new role until next week. Typically, I enjoy staying cozy at home during the rain, but this time is different—I just want it to stop. If the rain continues, it will cause floods and landslides in many provinces. River levels are already rising, and even my parents' home is at risk. They're facing potential flooding and may need to evacuate. The persistent rain is definitely making me anxious.
Although Typhoon Yagi has been downgraded to a tropical depression, it still leaves a significant impact. To be honest, I had little knowledge about typhoons until today. So, I took the initiative to do some research, and here’s what I learned:
The terms "typhoon," "hurricane," and "cyclone" refer to the same natural disaster but are named differently depending on the region. It all begins with a tropical storm, with wind speeds around 63 km/h. Once wind speeds reach 119 km/h, the storm officially becomes a tropical cyclone or typhoon. There are five categories based on wind speed, with Typhoon Yagi being classified as Category 4—extremely dangerous with winds over 200 km/h. Only Category 5 remains, with catastrophic winds at 248 km/h or more.
Typhoons are typically formed over oceans near the equator, using warm and humid air as fuel. Water evaporates from the ocean surface, creating warm, moist air that rises, leaving an area of lower pressure below. Higher pressure air then rushes in to replace it. This constant cycle forms clouds and generates rainfall, while the wind speed increases. With the Earth's rotation factored in, this process creates tropical storms that can evolve into typhoons. Typhoons usually span a diameter of 200–250 km but can grow as large as 1,000 km.
Meteorologists and scientists estimate that there are around 85 tropical storms annually, more than half of which develop into hurricanes. About 72% occur in the Northern Hemisphere, where Vietnam lies, and these typhoons rotate counterclockwise, while those in the Southern Hemisphere rotate clockwise.
This experience has also taught me how important it is to prepare for future typhoons. Here’s what I’ve learned about disaster preparation:
Prepare a safe shelter and reinforce your house.
Have an emergency aid kit ready, along with necessary medications and sanitary products.
Stock up on food and water, focusing on non-perishable and instant foods.
Secure valuable items like cash, important documents, ID cards, and family photos (to confirm identity if separated).
Gather items for evacuation, such as a whistle, helmet, life jacket, flashlight, and power bank.

My 72 hr Get Home Bag Essentials: Why You Need One
The World We Live In Life is unpredictable. Whether it’s a sudden natural disaster, an unexpected blackout, or a car breakdown in the middle of nowhere, having a plan in place is essential. That’s where a 72-hour Get Home Bag comes in. But do you know what to pack? 🤔
Why You Need a 72-Hour Get Home Bag Imagine this: You’re on your way home from work, and suddenly, disaster strikes. Roads are blocked, public transport is down, and your phone battery is running low. How will you get home safely? Your 72-hour Get Home Bag could be your lifeline.
🛠 Essential Items for Your 72-Hour Get Home Bag What should go into your bag? The basics are simple: water, food, first-aid supplies, a flashlight, a multi-tool, and a change of clothes. But it’s not just about stuffing items into a bag; it’s about strategic packing tailored to your needs.
🌡 Water: The Lifesaver The rule of three: you can survive three days without water. A few small bottles aren’t enough. Consider water purification tablets or a portable filter. Planbowl even helps you calculate the amount of water you’ll need based on your location and family size! 💧
🍫 Food: The Energy Source High-calorie, non-perishable snacks are essential. Think energy bars, trail mix, or even MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat). Planbowl suggests food options that fit your dietary needs and won’t spoil on the go.
🩹 First-Aid Kit: Your Mini ER Accidents happen, especially during emergencies. A well-stocked first-aid kit with bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any prescription meds you need can make a world of difference. Don’t leave home without it!
🧥 Clothing: Prepare for the Elements Weather can be unpredictable, especially during a disaster. Pack a weather-appropriate change of clothes, including sturdy shoes, a rain jacket, and thermal layers. It’s all about staying warm, dry, and protected.
🗺 Navigation Tools: Never Get Lost Maps, compasses, and GPS devices are crucial, especially if you’re in unfamiliar territory. Don’t rely solely on your phone’s GPS; have a backup plan. Planbowl even customizes your emergency route based on your location! 🧭
🔋 Power Up: Portable Chargers & Extra Batteries Your phone might be your only link to help, so keep it powered up with a portable charger or solar-powered battery pack. Planbowl also suggests alternatives if you’re in an area with limited sunlight.
🔪 Multi-Tool: Your Pocket Survival Kit A good multi-tool can handle anything from cutting rope to opening cans. Choose one with a variety of functions but still lightweight enough to carry. Trust me; this little gadget can be a game-changer.
🧼 Personal Hygiene: Stay Clean & Healthy Don’t forget basics like wet wipes, hand sanitizer, a small towel, and toilet paper. It’s easy to overlook, but personal hygiene can help prevent illness when access to clean facilities is limited.
🛏 Shelter & Warmth: Your Temporary Home Pack an emergency blanket, a lightweight tent, or a tarp to protect yourself from the elements. Planbowl recommends options based on your climate and possible weather conditions. Staying dry is key to staying alive!
🔥 Fire Starting Kit: Stay Warm & Cook Whether it’s waterproof matches, a lighter, or a flint and steel, having a reliable way to start a fire is crucial. Fire can keep you warm, cook food, and even signal for help. 🔥
🎒 Choosing the Right Bag: Comfort & Durability Your bag is just as important as what goes inside it. Choose one that’s comfortable to carry for long distances, with multiple compartments for easy organization. Planbowl even suggests the best types of bags based on your build and what you need to carry.
📜 Documents: Don’t Forget the Paperwork Keep copies of important documents like IDs, medical information, and emergency contacts in a waterproof pouch. You never know when you’ll need to prove who you are or access vital information.
💡 Knowledge is Power: Learn Basic Survival Skills Your bag is essential, but so is knowing how to use everything inside it. Planbowl doesn’t just provide you with a checklist; it educates you on survival skills tailored to your situation. Knowledge is your greatest tool!

The region faces various natural challenges, from hurricanes to thunderstorms, floods to tornadoes, wildfires to snowstorms. Preparedness is crucial in such an unpredictable environment. That's where the B.O.B. or "Bug Out Bag" comes in handy. What is a B.O.B.? A B.O.B. is essentially a portable kit containing all the items one would need to survive for 72 hours after evacuating from a disaster. Think of it as a lifeline, one you can grab in seconds, ensuring you and your family have the necessities when time and safety are of the essence. Why Texas Families Specifically Need a B.O.B. Texas’s vast and varied landscape means its residents face a multitude of potential disasters. Coastal residents must be wary of hurricanes, while those in the panhandle must remain vigilant about tornadoes. Central Texas contends with flash floods, and recent events have shown that even winter storms can cripple the state’s infrastructure. Given such a varied risk profile, it makes sense for Texans to be ready for anything. A well-stocked B.O.B. ensures that no matter the nature of the disaster, your family can focus on reaching safety rather than scrambling for supplies. What to Pack in a B.O.B. Water and Hydration: At least one gallon of water per person per day for at least three days. Consider including water purification tablets or filters as well. Food: Non-perishable food items like energy bars, canned goods (with a manual can opener), and high-calorie survival ration packs. Shelter and Warmth: Compact tents or emergency shelter kits, space blankets, and hand warmers. First Aid Kit: This should include basics like bandages, antiseptic wipes, adhesive tape, scissors, tweezers, pain relievers, and any necessary prescription medications. Tools: A multi-tool or Swiss Army knife, durable rope, duct tape, and a flashlight with extra batteries. Clothing: Change of clothes appropriate for the weather, including sturdy shoes, rain ponchos, and hats. Communication and Signaling: A battery-powered or hand-crank radio, whistle, and a charged power bank for mobile devices. Personal Items: Important documents (like IDs, insurance policies, and bank records) stored in a waterproof container, cash, local maps, and a spare set of car keys. Special Considerations: If you have infants, elderly family members, or pets, pack according to their needs, such as baby food, special medications, or pet supplies. Storing and Maintaining Your B.O.B. Once you’ve assembled your Bug Out Bag, it’s vital to store it in an easily accessible location. Think about scenarios where you’d need to leave quickly, such as a rapidly rising flood, and place your B.O.B. accordingly. Maintenance is equally crucial. Every six months, review the contents of your B.O.B. Check the expiration dates on food and water, ensure batteries are still charged, and replace any used items.

When the Power Goes Out: How to Stay Calm and Prepared
Shaina Tranquilino
November 21, 2023
I was on the way home from attending a birthday dinner and all of a sudden, the streets went dark, all the street lamps were off, and it was pitch black outside. Thankfully, I was close to home and I had my phone on me to use as a flashlight. We don't have many power outages where I live, so I am lucky. However, since I am now at home sitting in the dark, I figured, what a perfect time to write! I wrote this blog on what to do when the power goes out, as I believe it can help some people calm down and be prepared in case this happens to them!
So, Imagine you're in the middle of a regular day, going about your daily routine when suddenly, darkness engulfs your surroundings. The power has gone out! Whether it's due to inclement weather, an electrical issue, or any other unforeseen circumstance, losing power can be quite inconvenient. However, instead of panicking or feeling helpless, there are several steps you can take to ensure safety and make the most of this unexpected downtime. In this blog post, we will discuss some practical tips on what to do when the power goes out.
1. Assess the situation: The first thing to do is calmly assess whether it's just your home experiencing a power outage or if it's more widespread. Check if your neighbours' houses are also without electricity. If they are affected too, it's likely a larger-scale issue that requires contacting the utility company for updates.
2. Gather essential supplies: Having an emergency kit handy is always beneficial during a power outage. Ensure you have items such as flashlights with extra batteries, candles, matches or lighters (safely stored away from children), portable phone chargers or power banks, a battery-operated radio for news updates, and enough drinking water and non-perishable food for at least 72 hours.
3. Preserve perishables: If the power outage lasts longer than a couple of hours, consider opening refrigerators and freezers only when necessary to maintain cool temperatures inside. This will help prevent spoilage of food items and extend their shelf life until normalcy is restored.
4. Secure alternative lighting: Use flashlights or battery-powered lanterns rather than relying solely on candles during extended periods without electricity; they offer safer illumination while reducing fire risks. Keep these lights strategically placed throughout your house to provide adequate visibility in all essential areas.
5. Unplug electronic devices: Before the power comes back on, it's wise to unplug electronic devices and appliances to protect them from potential power surges. This step safeguards your valuable equipment from damage when electricity is restored.
6. Stay entertained: Since you won't have access to television or internet during a power outage, have alternate sources of entertainment ready. Board games, card games, books, or puzzles can provide hours of fun for both kids and adults alike. Engage in meaningful conversations with family members or neighbours and make the most out of this uninterrupted quality time.
7. Keep cool (or warm): Depending on the weather conditions and the duration of the power outage, maintaining a comfortable temperature indoors may become important. If it's hot outside, try opening windows to create cross-ventilation; if it's cold, layer up with warm clothing and blankets. Avoid using gas stoves or charcoal grills for heating purposes as they pose serious risks of carbon monoxide poisoning.
8. Check on vulnerable individuals: If you live alone or have senior citizens, young children, or pets in your household, ensure their safety during a power outage by checking on them regularly. Make sure they are comfortable and provide necessary assistance if needed.
Experiencing a sudden power outage can be disruptive but staying calm and prepared will help you navigate through this temporary inconvenience smoothly. By assessing the situation, gathering essential supplies, preserving perishables wisely, securing alternative lighting sources, unplugging electronics, finding alternative entertainment options, regulating indoor temperatures appropriately, and checking on vulnerable individuals around you - you will be well-prepared for unexpected moments of darkness. Remember that being proactive before an emergency occurs ensures you're ready to face any challenges that arise while keeping yourself and those around you safe!
