6 weeks. So far, lots of dry mouth, lots of fatigue. Bracing for the real deal. Had a dream last night that I bled, so good thing ultrasound is tomorrow��but I’m super nervous, because what if there’s no heartbeat? Obviously, the experience of being pregnant versus being the partner is different, but I didn’t expect it to be different both physically AND psychologically. When Fel was pregnant, I just knew in my heart that everything was okay with Gus, even though she was consistently worried from week to week. Now I’m feeling that really hard. #6weekspregnant (at Fishtown Scissor Shop)

6.5 weeks pregnant and i’ve learned so much so far! most of what i’ve learned is that there is no “right” way to be pregnant - every pregnancy is different. like so freaking different. some people get all the symptoms right away (like me), and some don’t, and some get a positive test right away, and some don’t (like me). but most women (at least of my brief survey of those i know!) don’t know this (LIKE ME). there’s a lot of doubt kicking around in my head right now, and the other thing i’ve learned is to TRUST MYSELF (and more importantly, don’t trust the internet 😂) - trust my positive thoughts, trust my body, and trust in my intuition.

it’s been a very confusing and wonderful last month, and so most of what i’ve been trying to focus on is just feeling my body and being present each day of my pregnancy. which is a good lesson for me (also likely means my new medication is kicking in), as i have a hard time staying present - normally i’m consumed by thoughts of the future and things i can’t control. but you can’t fast forward in life, and right now i wouldn’t want to anyways, because it takes time to grow (both mental growth and growing a baby), and all we can do is focus on what we can do to grow TODAY, because tomorrow, there will be new lessons to learn, new info to grasp, and new morning sickness (more like ALL DAY sickness), to experience! and i wouldn’t want it any other way.

also, i want cheese. and krispy kreme donuts.
