Her original song is an absolute banger and I hope she continues to pursue singing at some point even after Niji..

I’m sorry, originally I was gonna draw her in her final outfit but I didn’t have the motivation so I drew a small doodle of her as thanks and a goodbye. the other day I saw a reference to the rising cost of living and I was nodding along until I stopped and thought wait what, why is living getting more expensive? how can that possibly be right, and what does it even mean?

because obviously some things are a lot cheaper than they used to be, or indeed have ever been: my parents had kerosene lamps, as a child I had 60W bulbs, now we have 6W leds, so the efficiency of lighting has jumped by an order of magnitude in my life alone, and light is important to living!

similarly I used to have a '96 Ford, then I got a 2011 Ford which uses literally half the petrol to travel the same distance, and of course I could upgrade to an electric car and run it off solar panels if I felt like making another leap in efficiency.

productivity goes up and living keeps getting cheaper! except of course any gains are carefully extracted from people by the rising cost of land and other monopoly rents almost entirely unrelated to productivity or the actual activity of living, we need a better term for this!
