2024 a review: w h a t t h e f. U c k

In resume this year I: got out depression, got a job, quitted the job, got another job, almost died by mosquito, started the new job, my father abandoned the family which he was the major provider, got back into depression, my sister almost dies bc appendicitis, my aunt almost dies bc heart attack, found out that my best friend-for-10-years-until-she-ghosted-me-for-unknown-reasons k*lled h*rself a month ago so I couldn't go to the funeral or anything, my grandmother dies after suffering years with dementia, I'm going to have a new sibling, my other aunt then dies. I change my therapist.

Good news: I'm a teacher now!

Bad news: I've never been poorer or more in need of money in my entire life and everybody keeps dying.

In details:

*got out of a major depressive episode that lasted for almost 2 fucking years;

*got a job with an indication from my friend on basically his family's school";

*it was. hell. straight from hell I swear. So I managed to break my friendship with this dear friend bc his family was a nightmare to work with and I'm really easy going-y and people pleaser-y but it was awful;

*obvs I quitted BUT my boss said that bc I didn't signed a sketchy document that I didn't know what meant, that same morning!, I had to work for 4 more weeks. I started to cry.

*cried for a whole week, at my desk, in the middle of lunch, during the breaks, during the shift in front of some students, etc;

*they let me go early with all my rights included, bc I used to pass in front of the cameras&microfone (how did I know that they were both? In the most unfun way imaginable if you can catch my drift.) murmuring about an anonymous tip to the cops on them bc it was fucking unethical and I could prove it;

*jobless but estable somewhat;

*got indicated in another school by another dear friend;

*got a disease that's transmitted through mosquitos and almost died. Like I had to go to the hospital and I passed out while receiving 6L of physiological saline (?) straight to the vein. The only reason I managed to return home was bc I lied that I wasn't bleeding. Turns out it was a dumb decision, I almost bleed to death and I realized that maybe my parents almost let me die in my room that was idk 3 metters from their bedroom? But ok, I survived, moving on;

*started new job;

*my father got home one day and said in the most cowardly way that he wanted to divorced my mom and he had a companion and he was going to live with her;

*everybody was so shocked. like. it was kinda like a reality breaking news;

*until this very moment. my father was a totally upstanding man with a lovely wife and two talented daughters (his words), and in reality it was like growing up in a doll house. but I digress;

*dad was/is the breadwinner and he left the house so my mom and I were fucked;

*my father's departure was a total shitshow with screams, swears, panick attacks, etc etc. my sister kicked his ass while I just kept crying;

*his companion is a year younger than me, already have a daughter with another married man and obvs is after his money (now I ask what money? I grew up believing we were poor);

*my sister got the keys from him so he had to move back to his mother's house;

*my grandma that was slowly dying of dementia and screamed all the time when she was awake;

*he started bragging during football's match on the weekends about all the sed he was having with his younger companion;

*didn't explain anything to anyone and just acted like he wasn't married for 36 years together for 40 years;

*my sister moved back home, basically leaving her marriage so she could help us;

*she and my mom went to the bank and set up a arrangement so my mom was going to automatically receive half my father's salary;

*my sister starts feeling a sharp pain on her side, after TWO WEEKS OF PAIN she finally relented to go to the hospital, where she had to get surgery bc her appendix exploded(?);

*my sister almost dies after surgery, has to go back for more;

*somehow everything works out;

*untill my older aunt starts feeling a pain on her chest, when she went to the hospital she was having a heart attack;

*she also almost dies during surgery;

*again everything works out somehow but I basically stayed for a month between hospitals while starting a new promising job and the break up of my family;

*a few weeks after that my grandmother dies;

*my father been fighting us bc of the money that is tight and I received like 100 bucks month bc I got the least amount possible of hours so I could try and cope;

*everybody was staring at us instead of paying attention to my grandmother bc they were waiting for a fight that didn't happen;

*My father took his companion to the funeral;

*so much therapy and medication;

*got more hours on my job bc money but it was too much for me but fuck it, it sucked but I did it;

*everybody forgets my birthday;

*had the most hard days ever at work and at home nothing else made sense;

*my sister found out that my father was going to be a father again; he was such a coward that he couldn't tell her himself;

*we don't have money to fund the legals fees needed to pass everything (the house that me and my mother live in) to me name and my sister's. Everybody starts getting panick attacks, everybody on hard medication;

*my aunt that was on terminal care dies; the funeral was a shitshow;

*I discover that my father's companion is suing him for child support but refuses to do the DNA test. And also since she's suing him, we couldn't, even if we had the money that we don't have, move forward with the changing property stuff;

*on forced unpaid vacation right now and unfortunately work is therapy for me but alas I'm depressed again bc I'm fucking stuck in college for 8 long years in a 5 years course (fuck you pandemics).
