Jalandhar Sees Himachal's Dhauladhar Range For First Time In Decades

Senior citizens say it was almost after a generation that the mountains have becomevisible from the city.

The residents of Jalandhar seem to have rediscovered the scenic beauty around the city thanks to the 21-day lockdown that was enforced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi nationwide to contain the spread of novel coronavirus.

For the first time in decades, the residents have a view of Himachal Pradesh’s Dhauladhar mountain ranges that are 213 km from the city. Greeted by the spectacle, many residents were seen taking videos and photographs from the rooftop of their homes. Several of them reportedly went live on Facebook to share their excitement.

The dramatic drop in air pollution levels due to the lockdown is said to be the main reason behind the spectacle. Senior citizens say it was almost after a generation that the mountains have become visible from the city.

“Jalandhar residents have a view of snow-capped mountains. This is with a dramatic dip in Air pollution levels due to lockdown. Senior citizens say it was almost after a generation that the mountains have been visible in the City,” Himachal tourism tweeted.

Over 90 cities, including Delhi, have recorded minimal air pollution in the last few days.

India is currently under the biggest lockdown with around 130 crore people asked to stay home in view of the coronavirus outbreak, which has killed over 60 people and infected nearly 3,000 people in the country.

The government has urged people to avoid unnecessary travelling, significantly reducing the traffic movement across the country.

King’s Row is one of my favorite maps and due to that I try to learn all of the best places for Widow and Pharah so pushing isn’t super hard for me in this map, but with an amazing group (^like the lovely creatures listed above^) it’s so much easier! Although my lovely Mercy and I decided to let the rest of the team fight for us as we crept went around everyone, killed a McCree that was on the payload, and back-capped the payload while taunting a Soldier 76 who was just a few steps too far away to save the payload and stop us from winning =D

60-Year-Old COVID-19 Patient With 'No Travel History' Dies In Bikaner

The total number of coronavirus positive cases in Rajasthan has risen to 191 (Representational)

Jaipur:

A 60-year-old coronavirus positive woman having no travel history died at a hospital in Rajasthan’s Bikaner today as the state reported 12 fresh positive cases, taking the tally to 191, an official said.

Of the new cases, eight can be linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi in mid-March, he said.

“A 60-year-old woman admitted at a government hospital (PBM Hospital) at Bikaner for last four days died today. She had no travel history. She was handicapped and on ventilator,” Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Singh said.

He said that out of eight Tablighi Jamaat-linked cases, six are from Jhunjhunu and two from Churu district.

Of the rest four, three are from Banswara and one from Bhilwara.

The three in Banswara include two who had initially tested negative, but whose test results returned positive on Saturday, he said.

In Bhilwara, an OPD patient at a private hospital, where doctors and nursing staff were found coronavirus positive earlier, has also been confirmed positive, Mr Singh said.

The total number of coronavirus positive cases has risen to 191 in the state, the official said.

The entire state has been in a lockdown since March 22 and massive survey and screening is underway to trace possible infected people.
