With the season winding to an end.. the best came late. This is my best fish of the season for a client, and his personal best trout on a fly rod, and I believe the shops best fish of the year. The fish taped a hair under 21", and had a girth of 9.75". I spotted this fish holding downstream and away.. my angler let out the appropriate amount of line, swung the double bunny in on my count.. twitch twitch, strip, twitch. The water cut wake as he moved up.. I called pause, and WHAM! The strip set was solid, and a beautiful fight to the basket.
