#that manly puppets post thats going around reminded me that#this morning when i was helping at the fair again that guy who gave me weird vibes came to pick up his entries#and he had like 10 items several were heavy#one was an old worn stone axe head probably 5x8x3 like a big rock#so im moving all his entries from the display case to the table so he can box them up except he forgot his box in the car so he was#getting that as i moved the items#as hes putting things in his box he picks up the axe head and asks me if i picked this up#so im like uh yes?#he goes its pretty heavy right#and i was like. its a rock. its not anything crazy#so he starts talking about how whoever actually used it as an axe must have been a real man#and the whole time im like ????#anyone who needed to use an axe regularly would have built up strength to do so relatively easily regardless of gender#why not leave gender out of it and just comment on how strong the person must have been#tangential but my grandpa always feels emasculated when i refill the water softener salt and lift 40 lbs bags without hurting myself#bc im a girl
