Sorry if that’s a stupid question, but how do you have that much cc in your game and it’s still working? I don’t even have halve as much as you and can’t download cc anymore because otherwise my game won‘t start.. 🙈 Btw I love your stuff, it’s so creative! 😊
Hi, thank you so much for the kind words! ♥ And it’s not a stupid question at all! My mods folder is 22 GB and the game uses around 15-20 minutes to start. I have a MSI GL62 with Intel Core i7-6700 HQ, Nvidia GTX960M, 8gb RAM and 525gb SSD. But I installed a bigger SSD because 128 gb is simply too small and can’t hardly store anything imho. xD I love this laptop and would absolutely recommend it! Other than it takes a moment to load all my cc when I first start it up, it runs perfectly smooth. Hope you have a wonderful day/night ♥

Performance of a SSD Drive
IOPS is another term that's frequently used to talk about operation of storage products, generally quoted with SSD specifications, but its direct application to real-world use is not straightforward. The longer a device can handle, the faster it is. Except, not all IO operations are the same. Reading a small 512-byte text file isn't the same thing like writing a 256KB block out of a 10GB movie.
In the real world, software won't be constantly queuing up 32 4KB blocks. It is going to likely be a random combination of block sizes, reads, writes, and times once the storage device is idle. For arbitrary IO (such as booting the OS when lots of files from a number of applications and drivers are requested), the IOPS amounts are significant, but they are not the only figure that matters.
Much effort goes into measuring IOPS for patterns that simulate databases, web servers, file servers and so forth. For gambling, it really depends on the application, because no two games will be indistinguishable. Some may involve huge textures being loaded from disk, while some might be ordered differently. Even though the 4K QD32 IOPS figure is relevant, it is best thought of as a sign of SSD performance using a heavier workload rather than a definitive, comparable benchmark for overall performance.
Competition We have tested dozens of SATA SSDs over the years, but since most have been discontinued and we now favor the 480-525GB abilities, we've trimmed down our list to drives which are readily available and worth considering. You will find older versions that look at sometimes lower prices, but we no longer actively track those drives.
Over the past few years, we have tested many drives. The Samsung 850 Evo, Samsung 850 Pro, Crucial MX300, and Intel 600p are now our primary recommendations, but depending on availability and pricing, many different drives are worth contemplating.
Crucial's X300 is one of the most recent offerings in the company, with the new BX300 possibly replacing it on time. For the time being, the MX300 combines TLC 3D NAND with performance and a cost low enough to become the budget SATA SSD pick for this manual.
The HP S700 Guru is a more recent addition, intended to compete with the Samsung 850 Pro. Unfortunately, performance doesn't really live up to that particular goals, though the purchase price makes it a potentially workable choice.
Nowadays, Intel is principally concentrated on M.two and NVMe solutions, and the 600p 512GB is our current pick for the best budget M.two SSD.
Mushkin's Reactor line is getting quite long in the tooth, and performance can't really compete with the better SATA drives, however the 1TB (960GB) model in particular is worth a look if you'd like a lot of solid-state storage in a more reasonable price.
OCZ had any financial difficulties but was rescued by Toshiba, who now owns their resources and continues to market drives beneath the OCZ brand. The OCZ TR200 is the most recent addition to the family, replacing the former TR150. It's slightly faster overall but stays somewhat tough to find the 480GB potential that we prefer. The OCZ VX500 meanwhile is assumed to be a greater functionality MLC offering, but the price is simply too high to allow it to be competitive.
Samsung is the 800 pound gorilla of SSDs. They have the benefit of owning the NAND and controller fabrication facilities, plus they do all their own firmware. That enables them to compete on price while at the same time offering better performance than many other companies. V-NAND permits the 850 Evo and 850 Pro to maintain two of our four SSD recommendations, and from the area of NVMe options Samsung also lays claim to the very best spots. Simply put, you can not go wrong using a Samsung SSD.
The end result is relatively remarkable performance--a little behind the 850 Guru and 850 Evo, but worth a glance, especially when pricing boils down. But current pricing puts it out of thought.
Our closing entrant--alphabetically--is Western Digital's Blue 1TB SSD. A long-time player in the storage marketplace, WD has not entered the SSD arena. Alas, the operation is quite low because of the usage of TLC NAND, but pricing is reasonable. Like many SSDs, this brand is a simple price cut off from a stronger recommendation.
Closing thoughts and a look to the future With SSDs getting a much better value, there is simply no reason to not own one in your PC. If you were an early adopter with a 64GB or 128GB drive and discover that capacity to be somewhat limiting, it's time to consider an update. Even a 512GB SSD now costs a lot less than a 128GB model did a couple of decades ago, and we strongly recommend at least 240GB for your OS and primary applications, with 480GB and bigger providing lots of room for a number of games and other goodies.
While ubiquitous, regular 2.5-inch SSDs now are fundamentally limited by the rate of the SATA bus, that has a maximum theoretical throughput of both 6Gbit/sec. In real world conditions, the performance ceiling is around 550MB/sec to get a SATA SSD, and it is clear this is imposing a limit on flash memory technologies.
The remedy would be to switch to the PCI Express bus, in which a x4 connection allows for up to 3.94GB/sec. Unfortunately, the PCIe SSDs are (often substantially) more expensive, and they're mostly limited to either PCIe add-on boards or the M.two form variable, which means only newer PCs possess the requisite NVMe support.
In another 10 years, solid state technology may create today's SATA SSDs look like floppy disks. But for the time being, SATA SSDs nevertheless supply the very best performance you are likely to buy for your buck, and the Samsung 850 Evo is currently the best option for a great gambling SSD.

Best SSD for Gamers
Putting an SSD in your PC is one of the best upgrades you can make for your PC for overall responsiveness and performance. Together with your OS and programs saved on an SSD, Windows boots quicker and game amounts load in a snap. What you have heard is true: once you have tried solid condition, you will not ever return to a spinning plate.
Hardcore gamers may need multi-terabyte storage for writings and press libraries, but SSDs are getting big and cheap enough to eventually replace older school hard disks. The greater demand for NAND-based storage from smartphones and laptops has created something of a NAND deficit, leading to higher SSD costs, but as further NAND manufacturing comes online, we ought to observe that trend reverse.
SSDs come in many different form factors, including the venerable 2.5-inch SATA drives, newer M.two 'gumstick' pushes, and PCIe add-in boards. M.2 and the PCIe interface blow away SATA bottleneck, and the speediest SSDs utilize NVMe to further improve performance, but they tend to carry a hefty price premium. (Note: there are also M.two SATA drives, but do not bother as they're nevertheless SATA speeds.) When compared with good SATA drives, for all workloads, for example matches, the benefits are pretty slim, but our very best NVMe SSDs manual has greater performance options.
For gambling, the best choice is a driveway that combines performance, ability, and reliability at a cost that won't make your wallet cry out in pain. That generally implies SATA drives, although a few of the least expensive NVMe alternatives like Intel's 600p will also be worth a look. We've chosen the best SSD for gambling, based on the above criteria, using our very own performance results.
What exactly does the term 'best' mean, when speaking about a storage device? Finest value for money, excellent real-world functionality, or a brilliant feature collection? The ideal SSD for a gaming PC strikes that perfect price/performance/reliability equilibrium, and Samsung's 850 Evo SSD handles this, and then a few.
Samsung is the only SSD manufacturer that operates an entirely vertical company, owning the means of production for every single aspect of its products. It designs the control, apps the firmware, manufactures the NAND flash memory, and sells the finished product. Every other company is forced to rely upon a third party for at least one of those facets of its SSDs. The benefit is closer collaboration between groups, resulting in better endurance, performance, and reliability.
The Ideal funding SATA SSD Crucial MX300 525GB Crucial's MX300 SSDs were the first to follow Samsung's long lead with 3D NAND on SATA, created by the 850 Pro and its own sibling 850 Evo, our entire top pick for SATA SSDs.
The Ideal budget M.Two NVMe SSD Intel 600p 512GB Crucial is not the sole SSD participant on the market using Micron's new 3D NAND procedure. Co-partner and 800 lb. Gorilla Intel has also waded into the fray, showcasing the 600p M.2 drive utilizing the identical battle plan Vital is trying with the MX300 on SATA.
In cases like this, Intel is going a step further and creating the debate to ditch SATA in addition to the mechanical hard disk, skipping straight to the next-gen M.2 NVMe interface to access the identical cheap Micron 3D NAND memory card. This makes a lot of sense for newer systems with empty M.2 slots, but do not bother with smaller 600p versions as performance plummets if you fall under the 512GB variant.
The Very Best luxury SATA SSD Samsung 850 Guru 512GB Samsung retains the top place in a second category for our best SSDs, and with great reason. The Samsung 850 Pro is the fastest consumer SATA SSD money can purchase. And with the ongoing migration to M.2 NVMe drives, it is not likely to cede the throne. Three years later it first became available, no other SATA drive has managed to match its performance. But at what price?
The 850 Guru was the primary consumer SSD to use V-NAND. Like the 850 Evo, the NAND flash memory is 40nm, with 32 vertical layers. However it doesn't use TLC NAND: what is 2-bit MLC. There is no need for an SLC cache, which gives it a slightly higher formatted capacity, and slightly superior performance in heavy write scenarios. The cost causes a significantly higher retail price than other SATA SSDs, however if you can not utilize M.two and still need maximum functionality, this is the drive to get.
SSDs create your entire system faster and more pleasant to use. But they matter for gaming, too. A fast-loading SSD can cut dozens of seconds off the loading times of large games like Battlefield 1 or 2 MMOs like World of Warcraft. An SSD will not normally affect framerates such as your GPU or CPU, but it will make installing, bootingup, dying, and reloading in games a quicker, smoother procedure.
When searching for a fantastic SSD for gaming, among the most important factors is price per gigabyte. Just how much will you need to spend to maintain a healthy library of Steam games installed, ready to be played at a minute's notice? With a few games surpassing the 50GB mark, this becomes even more crucial.
To locate the best gaming SSDs, we investigated the SSD market, picked out the most powerful contenders, and put them through their paces with a variety of benchmarking tools. We also put in the study to understand what makes a great SSD great, beyond the numbers--specialized things like types of flash memory and controllers.
