5w+3dpo
It's nice having proof of improvement. Last weekend at 4w+4&5dpo I drove a bunch, car-camped with my partner (I set up and took down the tent by myself as an experiment, basically), walked around picking up small branches for firewood, and didn't wear my compression bra all weekend. I swelled up to a 34" bust and was so exhausted I slept 10+ hours a night at home Sunday and Monday. Tuesday I felt more like myself again, but still went to bed early.
Wednesday I trimmed all four of Partner's resue horse's hooves, slept extra again, and woke up very very sore Thursday.
Yesterday (Thursday) I had physical therapy, and graduated to more strenuous exercises. Later, I rode my bike a mile as a test, then in the evening I climbed a ladder up and down into the attic several times and carried 2 bricks at a time to a stack near the attic entrance while Partner demolished the broken chimney-remnant that has been a hazard up there.
This morning (Friday) I woke up having slept just a little extra, was only swelled to 33.5", having worn my compression bra overnight, and I'm hardly sore at all. I certainly shouldn't go that hard every day, but. Progress!!!

G1 Climax 31 Night 5 - 9/26/2021; NJPW Strong Episode 59 - 9/25/2021; Mox/Kingston v. Suzuki/Archer Street Fight Added To NJPW Showdown Night 2 in Philly
Tumblr media
G1 Climax 31 resumed today, with the third round of A Block matches. You can see this now on NJPWWorld. The show drew slightly over 2200; earlier in the summer, the first night of Dragon Gate’s Kobe World drew slightly over that (the 2nd night, the retirement show for Masato Yoshino, had over 3500, so that’s a little different), so this is a bit more respectable.
- 9/26/2021, Hyogo Kobe World Memorial Hall
Master Wato d. Kosei Fujita (Boston Crab, 6:21)
Shingo Takagi [Los Ingobernables] d. Yuji Nagata (Last Of The Dragon, 16:51)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: Great O-Khan [United Empire] d. Yujiro Takahashi [Bullet Club] (Eliminator, 14:16)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: Toru Yano [CHAOS] d. Tanga Loa [Bullet Club] (Schoolboy, 10:46)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: KENTA [Bullet Club] d. Tomohiro Ishii [CHAOS] (Schoolboy, 21:08)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: Zack Sabre Jr. [SZKG] d. Kota Ibushi (Clarky Cat [Bad Balloon Remix], 19:55)
Sabre once again crowed how he would win it all, saying Naito’s knees are finished, and everyone else can’t possibly beat him. Two Schoolboy finishes in a row... mmm yeah not good booking there. Shingo promised that the match against Naito WILL happen. So that’s two we’re owed now, since we never did get our Naito v. Hiromu match from last year...
Current A Block standings:
O-Khan - 8pts (4W 0D 0L) Sabre - 6pts (3W 0D 0L) Yano - 6pts (3W 0D 1L) KENTA - 6pts (3W 0D 1L) Shingo - 4pts (2W 0D 1L) Yujiro - 4pts (2W 0D 2L) Ibushi - 4pts (2W 0D 2L) Ishii - 2pts (1W 0D 3L) Loa - 2pts (1W 0D 2L) Naito - 0pts (0W 0D 9L)
Tumblr media
Last night was the NJPWWorld premiere of the second episode of NJPW Strong coming from the Fighting Spirit Unleashed tapings from Long Beach back on 8/16/2021.
Yuji Nagata & Yuya Uemura d. Kevin Knight & The DKC (Nagata > Knight, Nagata Lock II, 9:27)
Jay White [Bullet Club] d. Wheeler Yuta (Blade Runner, 11:29)
Ren Narita d. Fred Rosser (Ground Cobra Twist, 15:11)
Narita gets a shock win over Rosser, getting another big win for himself during his LA Dojo excursion. Yuya Uemura also undefeated so far in his own excursion. Jay White called out Tomohiro Ishii, who did answer the challenge, but was laid out by Switchblade with a low blow and a Blade Runner for his trouble. A lot of F-bombs being dropped in that particular segment.
The third and final episode from Fighting Spirit Unleashed will be next week, featuring an NJPW Strong Openweight title match between champion “Filthy” Tom Lawlor v. Lio Rush.
Tumblr media
On the heels of last Wednesday Friday’s Lights Out match in AEW between Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston v. Minoru Suzuki v. Lance Archer, NJoA have decided to book the match again, at the second night of the New Japan Showdown NJPW Strong tapings on 10/17/2021, from Philadelphia, PA. If you are going to run a Philly Street Fight match, you’d best do it in the ECW Arena, and what do you know, that’s what is going to happen.
The next G1 Climax show is on Wednesday, resuming B Block. The second night of the NJPW Strong tapings in Garland, TX, has actually already started. Whoops! I’m putting the card listing under a spoiler cut, however, as there is a spoiler from last night. If you look on Twitter you will find it sure enough.
- 9/29/2021, Tokyo Korakuen Hall
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Taichi [SZKG] v. EVIL [Bullet Club]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: SANADA [Los Ingobernables] v. Chase Owens [Bullet Club]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Hirooki Goto [CHAOS] v. Jeff Cobb [United Empire]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Hiroshi Tanahashi v. Tama Tonga [Bullet Club]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Kazuchika Okada [CHAOS] v. YOSHI-HASHI [CHAOS]
Per Will Ospreay’s Twitter this morning, TJP is now part of the United Empire. They have not said whether or not that means TJP is the X listed in Ospreay’s tag match, or if he will still face Yuya Uemura in singles. We’ll see soon enough I guess.
- 9/26/2021, Curtis Culwell Center, Garland, TX
Yuya Uemura v. TJP [United Empire]
Jay White [Bullet Club] v. Daniel Garcia
Robbie Eagles [CHAOS] & Chris Dickinson [ROH] v. El Phantasmo & Chris Bey [Bullet Club]
Karl Fredericks & Clark Connors v. Will Ospreay & X [United Empire]
Lio Rush [FREE] v. Taiji Ishimori [Bullet Club]
“Filthy”Tom Lawlor & Royce Isaacs [Team Filthy] v. Minoru Suzuki [SZKG] & Lance Archer [AEW]
Texas Bullrope Match: Juice Robinson v. Hikuleo [Bullet Club]

☀️Happy Wednesday! Here we are…Wednesday again!
What is 4W?
It is a weekly post where I recap my week in books! It originally was a WWW Wednesday Post that I’ve tweaked to make my own. I cover books that I’ve been reading, plan to read and what I’ve been reading to our preschool, usually highlighting a favorite picture book each week…
A few weeks ago I started a new reading goal that I’m super excited about, I’m reading all of the Newbery Winners! You will notice that in my selection of books, and you can find that Newbery post here.
Newbery Awards have been given out every year since 1922 and I have a ways to go!
I am about halfway through Secret of the Andes by Ann Nolan Clark, a Newbery winner in 1953. I am really enjoying this story of an Inca boy, Cusi and his pet llama Misti, who leave their home in the Andes to discover the truth of Cusi’s birth and uncovers secrets  of the past.
I am also reading The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw. I’ve just few chapters into to this book, but was surprised to read this story takes place along the Oregon Coast.
I  have read a handful of Newbery winners this week, starting with The White Stag(winner in 1938) by Kate Seredy. This book was of no interest to me at all and hard to work my way through, even for only being 100 pages. It’s a historical tale of the Huns and their migration from Asia into Europe, obeying the voices of their pagan gods and pursuing the vision of the White Stag. 🔥
Rabbit Hill(winner in 1945) was a much lighter story bringing to life all the woodland creatures near an unoccupied farm. The word is that new folks will be coming! Will they be pleasant farmers, or will they set traps for the animals and possibly arrive with a mouse-catching cat or a hunting dog?  These are the questions on the mind of all the neighboring animals. 🔥🔥🔥
Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Life’s From a Medieval Village(2008 winner) by Laura Amy Schlitz, is a collection of stories set in a medieval village in 1255. It was written for a group os students studying the Middle Ages by their librarian to help bring to light, what life would have been like if you were a child in this era. It is easy to read and would be a great tool for children studying this period. 🔥🔥🔥
My favorite Newbery read this past week was easily Island of the Blue Dolphins( winner in 1961) by Scott O’Dell. This is a story of a young Indian girl, Karana, left behind on one of the Channel Islands when her tribe decided to leave. The basis of this story is true and detailed out in the fascinating introduction. Karana survived alone for nearly twenty years on the island. Her adventures and animal encounters are amazing and beautiful for all ages.      🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My last two books for the week are The President is Missing by James Patterson and Bill Clinton. You can find my review on this book here. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥And also Last Stop On Market Street(winner 2016) by Matt De La Peña, with my review here. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This has been a fun week in books, I can feel myself getting excited for fall by the selection of stories I picked! Who doesn’t love Halloween? So it’s only August! 🤪 We’ve ordered our first Scholastic school order last week and our curriculum for next month.
My favorite book this week has to be Edward Gets Messy by Rita Meade. Edward is a very particular pig, who despises getting dirty, until one day when he gets dirty, and discovers how fun it is! It opens up a whole world to Edward; art projects, playing sports, science experiments, and jumping in the fall leaves!
That wraps up my week! What have you been reading? Have you enjoyed any of these books? I have so much fun putting this post together each week, I feel like I’m just playing with my books…💗
Thanks for stopping by…Happy Reading Friends!

Live Action Poem, February 2nd, 6:41
Went to Brazil out of spite and saw
stone Jesus, arms open for a hug,
bought street weed, twice, from the same vendor
out of a reckless love for reckless love.
Hoped for a tropical muse and found
a strong handshake from a dangerous man.
Holed up in Rio de Janeiro with piles
of paper money and paced all alone
angry at nothing if only for the moment.
Rain dampened slick stone walkaways,
waiters were too nice and I tipped too much.
One offered to be a bodyguard , violence
hinted in every smirking human moment.
God, I loved being a target, smug,
dumb, flitting away American Dollars.
Jesus Christ looming in stone on a hill top.
Titties and marijuana, iconic primadonna
extravagant flora, dying fauna, fawning
over the climate. I went to Brazil
on an off month. To hole up
safe from my sprawling little lovely life.

“It was demeaning, to borrow a line from the poet A. R. Ammons, to allow one’s Weltanschauung to be noticeably wobbled.”
“You must not fear, hold back, count or be a miser with your thoughts and feelings. It is also true that creation comes from an overflow, so you have to learn to intake, to imbibe, to nourish yourself and not be afraid of fullness. The fullness is like a tidal wave which then carries you, sweeps you into experience and into writing. Permit yourself to flow and overflow, allow for the rise in temperature, all the expansions and intensifications. Something is always born of excess: great art was born of great terrors, great loneliness, great inhibitions, instabilities, and it always balances them. If it seems to you that I move in a world of certitudes, you, par contre, must benefit from the great privilege of youth, which is that you move in a world of mysteries. But both must be ruled by faith.”
Anaïs Nin

“We do not yet know whether Arkys relay Stop decisions from elsewhere, or are actively involved in forming those decisions. This is in part because the input pathways to Arkys remain to be determined.”
These studies prompt an interesting reflection about the benefits and conflicts of labeling and classifying neurons at a relatively grainy level of understanding.
“The authors hypothesize that under normal conditions, hLTP serves an adaptive, homeostatic role to maintain a healthy balance between the hyperdirect and indirect pathway in the STN. However, after dopamine depletion, pathologically elevated cortical input to the STN triggers excessive induction of hLTP at GPe synapses, which becomes maladaptive to circuit function and contributes to or even exacerbates pathological oscillations.”

Lesson 11 - Behavior and Environment, animals must be housed in an environment enriched to maximize their welfare.
Lesson 12 - Rodent and Lagomorph Accommodation and Housing - A more comprehensive guide from the macro environment, facilities i.e. establishments, to the micro environments.  Covers health and safety procedures for personnel as well as geometry of housing units (rounded edges to prevent water accumulation).  Absolutely essential.
Lesson 13 - Collecting Samples and Administrating Procedures - covers the most common collection techniques and materials collected and stressed the importance of doing as little harm as possible to the animal.
Lesson 14 - Transporting the Animal : Shipper holds most of the responsibility.  Major goals are making sure the journey is as stress free as possible, contingency plans are in place, and that all of the logistics have been carefully planned, communicated, and coordinated between various parties responsible in the shipping.  Also, animals should be prepared mentally and physically for the journey and should have a period of post-transportation to adjust to the new surroundings and environment.  A number of practical issues must be considered such as temperature, availability of food, and access to animals during the journey.  Boxes should be properly labelled in whatever languages are necessary.
Lesson 15 - The purpose of feeding and nutrition is to meet the energy needs of the animals, which vary by species, physiological state of animal (growth, maintenance, gestation, and lactation).  A number of category of diets exist as well as a variety of specific diets to best fits the needs of the experiment.  This chapter covers particulars of nutrition requirements and stresses the importance of avoiding obesity and malnutrition.
Lesson 16 - Anatomy and Physiology of Teleosts (Skip for now: Focus on Rodents and Lagomorphs)
Lesson 17 - Anatomy and Physiology of Rodents and Lagomorphs - General characteristics of the anatomy and physiology of six species, 5 rodents and 1 lagomorph.  Mice, rats, guinea pigs, gerbils, and hamsters.  Rabbits.  It covers particularities of each species and has a quiz asking specific facts, mostly centered on commonalities and distinguishing factors.  Worth a close read.
Lesson 18 - Anaesthesia and Analgesia in Rodents and Lagomorphs . Pre anaesthesia techniques, drug combinations, and repeated warning of the importance of choosing the right drugs and technique for the species.  Use of a chamber.  Methods of anesthesia (IP, IV, Volatile).  Endotracheal Intubation for rabbits; the proper use and administration of analgesics; monitoring during the operation (for example - the paw pain reflex disappears in medium to deep anesthesia
Lesson 19 - Animal Welfare and Signs of Disturbance - This chapter repeatedly stresses the importance of the relationship between the caretaker and the animal.  It repeats the ideal social, environmental, and nutritional environments for rodents and rabbits and highlights peculiarities of each species.   After reading this one should be better suited to detecting stress, disease, or other ailments in a laboratory animal.
Lesson 20 - Fish Psychology and Welfare (Skip for now: Focus on Rodents and Lagomorphs)
Lessons 5, 17, and 20 pertain to fish

Finally, it is time to publish and reveal the results. According to Santiago Ramón y Cajal, scientific writers should govern themselves by the following rules:
Make sure you have something to say; Find a suitable title and sequence to present your ideas; Say it; Stop once it is said.

Extra time: allocate time.  Technicians : Freedom to do other things, work with other things, other technical things, giving people independent project to carry out.    Project --- has in mind?  Design.   Hands on education of how science works then reading.   Spend time focused on a problem and in the ideal become the world’s foremost expert on whatever ‘mundane’ aspect of what ever problem you are working on.

Domain bias.   In general -> other than P.I. protected from funding.  Publication, the life of the business.   Metric of success is the science they publish.    Work that contributes to being an author = more engaged, more independent.   Evolved to an independent project.
So incredibly broad -> CRISPR, GFP, Optogenetics, with higher level systems problems.   100 years = absurd.   Look back -> Could we have conceived whats going on today.
Foremost expert on something how-ever limited.  Grow from there.   Grown from a particular expertise.
Molecular biologist || Do what a 3 year old is taught to do.  How?  How?  How?  How does that work.  Quantum physics.   Ask questions.  Be open.
Go to seminars  -> Go to every talk.  Take every note.  Primary literature fundamentally different.   Always learn in context.  Don’t dilute too much (ignore title, abstract, discussion).  Look at figures and tables and derive for yourself what they say.   Look for THE FIGURE or THE TABLE that is the crux and look for the control experiment.    Understand the critical assessment, are the facts valid and warranted?  Infinite amount to learn, don’t spread yourself infinitely thin.  “

So. The tour takes a day off tomorrow, and resumes Wednesday. There is also some other news I need to get to, but I am really pressed for time tonight, and the next two nights are booked (Tuesday I am off to Indiana and back [don’t ask], Wednesday I am attending AEW Dynamite in Hoffman Estates, IL). Therefore, no blog on Wednesday, with a massive catch-up post coming on Thursday (Thanksgiving) about a great many things. Below are the next 2 shows. Thursday’s will be live on NJPWWorld, too. See you then.

Destruction in Kagoshima - 9/16/2019
Tumblr media
The second Destruction show of 2019 took place today, and you can see it now on NJPWWorld. We had a title match, a contract-for-a-title-match match, and two Young Lions Cup matches as well. Results:
Destruction in Kagoshima - 9/16/2019, Kagoshima Arena (NJPWWorld)
12th Young Lions Cup: Yuya Uemura d. Clark Connors (Boston Crab, 9:31)
12th Young Lions Cup: Ren Narita d. Michael Richards [Fale Dojo] (Narita Special #4, 7:18)
Manabu Nakanishi, Toa Henare, Karl Fredericks & Alex Coughlin d. Yuji Nagata, Ryusuke Taguchi, Shota Umino & Yota Tsuji (Henare > Tsuji, Toa Bottom, 9:45)
Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, SHO & YOH [CHAOS] d. Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens [Bullet Club] (YOH > Tonga, Inside Cradle, 6:51)
Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma & Jushin Thunder Liger d. Zack Sabre Jr., Minoru Suzuki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & DOUKI [SZKG] (Liger > DOUKI, DQ, 9:22)
Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto & Rocky Romero [CHAOS] d. SANADA, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI [Los Ingobernables] (Okada > BUSHI, Rainmaker, 10:08)
Tetsuya Naito & EVIL [Los Ingobernables] d. Jay White & Yujiro Takahashi [Bullet Club] (EVIL > Yujiro, EVIL STO, 11:50)
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo [Bullet Club] © d. Will Ospreay & Robbie Eagles [CHAOS] (Phantasmo > Eagles, CRII, 23:10) - Ishimori/Phantasmo succeed their 1st defense
Tokyo Dome IWGP Heavyweight Championship Challenge Rights: Kota Ibushi d. KENTA [Bullet Club] (Kamigoye, 26:23) -  Ibushi retains the challenge rights for WK14
Ibushi overcomes KENTA, and his pre-match attack, WITH the briefcase. Ibushi’s next challenge will be EVIL, probably at King of Pro Wrestling. Remember: the title has changed more times in the Briefcase Era than the briefcase (1-0, if you are keeping score). Jay low-blowed Naito post-match. Suzuki ripped Liger’s mask off and said he wants to face the REAL Liger (maybe referencing Kishin Liger?). Say, you don’t think RPG3K will challenge GOD for those tag belts next do you? And yay, Yuya gets on the board! But still dead last, owing to a loss to Yota Tsuji. Current Young Lions Cup standings:
Fredericks: 8pts (4W 0D 1L) Umino: 8pts (4W 0D 1L) Narita: 8pts (4W 0D 1L) Connors: 6pts (3W 0D 2L) Coughlin: 4pts (2W 0D 3L) Richards: 2pts (1W 0D 4L) Tsuji: 2pts (1W 0D 4L) Uemura: 2pts (1W 0D 4L)
The tour resumes on Wednesday, so back to Cup matches on tape delay.

Try Audible and Get Two Free AudiobooksHappy Wednesday! It’s been a strange week with the daylight savings change, I think my body has finally adjusted. Monday I actually woke up at 2 am and couldn’t go back to sleep so I was up for the day. 😴 I hope you’ve managed the time change better than I.
Here is my week in books…
What is 4w?
It is a weekly post where I recap my week in books! It originally was a WWW Wednesday Post that I’ve tweaked to make my own. I cover books that I’ve been reading, plan to read and What I’ve been reading with our preschool, usually highlighting my favorite picture book each week.
I just started Nick and June Were Here by Shalanda Stanley, an ARC that will be released February 12, 2019. I don’t know anything about this YA book yet, but I’ve read some great reviews!
I just finished reading a cute middle grade story, A Monster Like Me by Wendy Swore. You can find my review here.
I also read Cogheart, a middle grade book by Peter Bunzl. You can find my review here.
The Mother-in-Law by Sally Hepworth was an amazing women’s lit/mystery. You can find that review here.
I’ve continued reading more from Advanced Reader Copies(ARC’s) from NetGalley. These are the titles I will be reviewing within the next week.
The McAvoy Sisters Book of Secrets by Molly Fader. Pub Date: July 16th, 2019
For Better and Worse by Margot Hunt. Pub Date: December 11, 2018
This month during circle time we are focusing on being thankful and our theme is transportation. We just ordered our Scholastics for November and will highlight that order once it comes! Here are a few of my favorites right now…
The bottom 2 have been my favorite. When Your Llama Needs a Haircut is a very silly board book that made the preschoolers laugh out loud and want me to read it again. While the Dia de los Muertos had a bit more description and cultural background with beautiful illustrations, probably more appropriate for kindreds even though it’s a board book.❤️
That wraps up my week in books…How did you spend your past week? Have you read any of these books, or plan to?
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
