ooh, i actually do keep a playlist of f/o songs!!! they're usually songs that i've made fanvids to. i have MNEK's 'Tongue' on repeat at the minute because of this video i made for Doc Ock a little while ago...i tend to listen to a handful of songs on repeat until they lose all their ability to regulate my serotonin 😂

omg speaking of, i listen to a stupid amount of video game fan songs. my ex was a musical elitist, so it can be a bit of a traumatic sore spot to listen to music i just enjoy - it's hard when you've been mocked for it, and it gave me a super warped view of what music was 'okay' to listen to. video game fan songs were the first thing i listened to after the break-up, and i was terrified and embarrassed the whole time - only to be told by everyone around me that the way that person engaged with music was by no means the norm, and was indeed a gatekeepy, joyless way of doing so. so i vibe massively with creators like DAGames and TheStupendium. i think it's evidence of healing that my top song on Spotify for 2020 was this (very NSFW!) Baldi's Basics fansong called 'You're Mine' 😳 honestly the year i spent obsessed with Baldi's Basics was a trauma reclamation. i've never felt more cringe, or more free 💖
