not the Facebook guy so I can’t 05:48 answer that maybe uh her nan could say 05:50 something about it 05:51 have you are you using any bot stuff I 05:54 just not not anything I’ve ever messed 05:56 with it oh ah yeah sorry um 05:59 yes actually we are a for semantic 06:01 mastery we are BOTS are great when it 06:05 comes to when it comes to communicating 06:07 with your audience but here’s my 06:08 personal take on BOTS you know I slice 06:14 it and dice it here you know one way the 06:17 other and we are actively doing some but 06:20 stuff on semantic mastery you know to 06:22 collect 06:23 to gather stuff and whatnot to gather 06:25 people to get to get them interested in 06:28 our stuff like here’s the thing with 06:29 vod’s is that they are based on a third 06:33 party platform which is on this case 06:36 facebook Messenger you know so the 06:39 problem with that is that I see a lot of 06:40 people developing funnels on on Facebook 06:44 Messenger or relying heavily on bots and 06:46 you know we know with all of the cameras 06:48 analytic side of things is that for then 06:51 was for a whole month 06:52 Facebook halted the entire development 06:55 of bots so all of those companies that 06:58 they were heavily relying on boss when 07:01 it comes to you know getting clicks 07:02 getting traffic it cetera cetera they 07:04 were having a really rough time so i i i 07:08 really use bots in terms of they have a 07:11 really high click-through rate they have 07:13 a really high open rate again people are 07:15 on facebook they have messenger 07:16 installed on their mobile phones so you 07:18 will get that but you need to use that 07:21 as an all-encompassing strategy inside 07:24 of the rest of your funnel so i would 07:26 say number one build your list number 07:28 two peel your pixels number three build 07:31 your but less if that make sense so 07:34 that’s that’s my intake on it i know 07:36 that people are going crazy you can do 07:38 some really advanced automation within 07:40 the bots but do not forget that unless 07:43 they’re on your own list those leads 07:45 that people that can interact with you 07:47 they do not belong to you they belong to 07:48 facebook right everything that’s on a 07:50 third party your youtube channel it’s 07:53 not yours its youtube’s you need to be 07:55 really clear on that as long as you have 07:57 that clear and that’s helping you 07:59 driving more traffic more leads and 08:00 cetera cetera yeah go for it oh go thank 08:03 you 08:04 next question i was reading while you 08:06 were answering that turn on and this one 08:08 says maybe marco can shed some light on 08:10 this i have not even been aware of this 08:13 he says i Mauricio says I have been hit 08:16 like a trained by the for 8 March Google 08:19 update but Google was very vague about 08:21 this particular update have you guys 08:22 deciphered what to do to recover the 08:24 rankings for those of us who have been 08:25 affected by this broad core algorithm 08:27 update Google Dixit ok so maybe that’s 08:30 the name of the update is Dixit I have 08:33 to take a look at that many of us are 08:34 trying to everything to recover our 08:36 perfect but we’re shooting in the dark 08:37 we don’t know if this was really about 08:39 link building or anchor text 08:41 over-optimization about content or about 08:42 relevancy or anything other matter well 08:44 I just did client reports earlier this 08:47 week well started last Friday and I 08:49 hadn’t noticed any drop in anything in 08:52 fact I had a couple of my sites my 08:54 client sites that actually took quite 08:56 quite a significant boost but that could 08:58 also be part in part because I’ve 09:00 started applying your local GMB Pro 09:02 method to a lot to several of my clients 09:04 too and that that very well could be why 09:06 I saw such a banking boost I don’t know 09:08 if it had anything to do with the update 09:11 that you’re referring to or not that 09:13 said because I have not seen any drops 09:16 in any of the clients or sites that I 09:17 manage I was even completely unaware of 09:20 it so that gosh that goes to show you 09:22 guys how plugged I am how plugged in I 09:24 am or not to the traditional SEO crowd 09:28 anymore and that’s just because again 09:31 the stuff that I’m not saying that we’re 09:34 you know update proof you know we’re not 09:38 Google slap proof I’m not saying that at 09:39 all all I’m saying is a lot of the stuff 09:41 that we do isn’t reliant on a lot of the 09:45 things that typically will get SEO is in 09:47 the trouble 09:48 and we’ve been very fortunate in that 09:49 respect that you know a lot of the 09:52 methods that we use and perfect and and 09:54 you know really zero in on or try to 09:56 scale with with particular methods that 09:58 seem to be almost penalty proof now 10:03 again I’m saying that tongue-in-cheek 10:04 because got you know none of us know but 10:07 I haven’t seen anything like that so 10:09 perhaps Marco did have you heard 10:10 anything about this I know you’re in 10:11 your mind tuned with the pulse of the 10:14 SEO crowd than I am I have heard people 10:16 you know they’ve been commenting all 10:19 over and yes we all crowd always 10:22 panicked and they go looking for quick 10:24 fix and a lot of times when there’s an 10:27 algorithm tinkling there’s a major 10:29 change it’s all about the Google dance 10:31 right and it’s all about waiting it out 10:35 patient when this stuff happens if you 10:38 run and you try to apply changes and you 10:41 try to recover too quickly Google is 10:43 going to know immediately that there’s 10:45 an SEO operating behind that and then 10:48 what’s going to happen is it extends the 10:49 period where 10:50 when your website is going to them while 10:53 that website is dancing you can’t do 10:55 anything and that it goes from 21 days 10:57 to 70 days if you do anything between 11:00 when you extend the period from 21 days 11:02 to 17 days what will happen is you could 11:05 be sandbox permanently and there’s no 11:06 way to recover your rank a lot of people 11:08 won’t tell you that for free I’m giving 11:11 it together it’s in my blog post right 11:13 the Google that how long did I write 11:15 that how long ago 2015 December yeah it 11:20 was quite a while ago why am I going 11:22 through the patent for the patent actual 11:24 absolutely and I don’t want people man 11:27 who’s gonna catch you it and apparently 11:29 not minister I’m not I am NOT a guru I 11:33 am NOT a ninja not an expert I’m not a 11:36 young lady I don’t even consider myself 11:37 in this he oh my god knows how to rank 11:39 stuff and and I’m really good at 11:42 predicting where Google is going and so 11:46 because I spent so much time on the 11:48 patent and so my first advice to you is 11:51 relax I mean there’s no way that you can 11:53 recover your rankings right away you 11:55 have to give it you have to give the 11:57 dust time to clear once it clears then 12:00 you can start taking you start to try to 12:03 remedy the situation by applying your 12:06 all of your knowledge and expertise in 12:08 the matter but right now this is 12:11 absolutely if you’ve lost rankings at 12:15 heart just let it go let it go until 12:18 you’ve cleared that the time period or 12:21 Google is watching and trying to catch 12:22 you and whatever it is that you do once 12:26 that’s gone then you can go ahead but 12:28 again I’m like bradlee man I’ve moved 12:30 away from for most of the stuff that can 12:32 hit me unless I’m just testing and the 12:35 stuff that I’m testing right now it’s 12:36 all inside Google my business listing in 12:39 G sites and drive stacks at me you know 12:41 what you know what I do yeah so and 12:44 that’s our protective shield rule it’s 12:47 like our SEO shield our protective 12:50 shield 12:50 what guard says against Google believe 12:53 it or not it says if harbor is reloaded 12:56 Academy and why it works so well because 12:59 everything gets filtered through that 13:01 though I don’t know I haven’t seen it I 13:04 my client would have been calling me all 13:07 of last month if they had seen anything 13:10 and no I haven’t heard anything haven’t 13:12 seen anything I even checked I just 13:14 wanted to check that a website that 13:16 usually often gets affected by 13:20 algorithmic changes and I don’t see it 13:23 so I’m sorry I’m not I mean that’s 13:26 that’s what I’m saying I didn’t see this 13:27 either and um it’s like I said there’s a 13:30 few of my clients actually recently took 13:32 a significant bump in rankings across 13:35 many different keywords to now but it 13:38 just so happens it’s probably not 13:41 coincidental either that those are the 13:43 same clients that I’ve started applying 13:45 the local GMB pro method to so it’s very 13:47 likely that that had an effect on it as 13:49 opposed to this actual update that 13:51 you’re talking about so yeah I just scan 13:53 through one of those articles you know I 13:56 agree with mark 100% that the first 13:58 thing you need to do if you were 13:59 affected by it is to be patient because 14:03 if you get in and start screwing around 14:04 with stuff remember guys a lot of the 14:05 times when Google makes a significant 14:08 update to the algorithm there is uh like 14:11 a period where it’s more intense 14:13 initially right and then they end up 14:16 figuring out all the different things 14:18 that got upset and the anomalies that 14:21 occurred that were unintended 14:22 consequences from their algorithm update 14:24 and then they start to roll things back 14:26 and fine-tune that update to you know 14:30 relieve some of the unintended 14:32 consequences right to kind of alleviate 14:34 some of the problems for site owners and 14:36 things cuz remember they get a ton 14:37 of complaints come rolling into from 14:39 people that were supposedly playing by 14:41 the book but still got affected by an 14:43 algorithm update and so again I you know 14:46 over the course of my career I’ve seen 14:48 this countless times now where a 14:50 significant update occurs and a bunch of 14:53 stuff happened you know people a bunch of 14:55 people’s sites tanked and over the 14:58 course of a few weeks to three weeks 15:00 four weeks sometimes you’ll start to see 15:03 a lot of the algorithm like the the 15:06 collateral damage starts to resurface 15:08 right it starts to come back up and 15:10 start to rise back up in the SERPs this 15:11 this you know results because Google 15:14 starts to fine-tune that algorithm 15:16 update to 15:17 you know alleviate or redeem some of 15:20 those lost rankings that really didn’t 15:22 deserve it and I’ve seen that again and 15:23 again and again so I agree with Marco be 15:25 careful 15:26 be patient try to decipher trying to 15:28 figure out over over the course of the 15:30 next few days a couple weeks and 15:32 apparently it sounds like it’s happened 15:33 for you know it’s been a period of time 15:35 already and you know if you’re if you’re 15:38 somebody that’s following a lot of 15:39 traditional SEO practices then there are 15:42 others that will 15:43 figure a lot of that stuff out one of 15:45 the best blogs I found for this kind of 15:48 stuff guys is the cognitive SEO blog if 15:50 you guys aren’t familiar with that I 15:52 highly recommend you go check it out I 15:54 always say his name wrong see the Rabb’s 15:56 an or as van at cognitive SEO and let’s 16:00 just go take a look at his blog real 16:02 quick and for anyone else wondering just 16:05 I just do a search in Google for the 16:07 Google dance explaining and look for the 16:09 semantic mastery blog and you should be 16:11 able to pull it up we should be near the 16:15 near the top for the Google dance 16:17 explain yeah it’s still there I would 16:22 take a look at this blog guys I’m not 16:24 saying he I don’t know if he 16:25 specifically posted about or if they 16:28 posted about that update I would check 16:31 into this blog it’s a great blog also 16:33 they’ve got some really good tools I 16:35 know a lot of people use link research 16:37 tools but I liked I always like 16:39 cognitive SEO better as far as if you’re 16:41 trying to do penalty recovery work I 16:43 don’t do that kind of work anymore it’s 16:45 – it’s too much of a pain in the ass so 16:48 and again I don’t really worry about 16:49 that stuff so much anymore I mean 16:51 occasionally I still do catch a slap of 16:53 some sort but it’s it’s very very rare 16:55 anymore 16:55 so anyways so I couldn’t give you more 16:59 information on that Mauricio it’s not 17:01 something I’ve experienced any negative 17:02 effect from if I had I would have more 17:04 data for you or more information I mean 17:06 Don he was a winner earlier this week he 17:09 was one of the people that we said we’d 17:11 sent a t-shirt to or something correct 17:13 yeah I think it was a hat or something 17:17 yep what’s up Don he says purchasing 17:21 local GMB Pro was an obvious no-brainer 17:23 while I’m going through the training I 17:25 want to test the method to revive some 17:27 old lead gen contractor properties that 17:28 I just let die 17:31 that’s this is a great opportunity to do 17:33 that because I’ve got a couple of lead 17:35 gen properties that I never fully 17:37 completed either that were verified GMB 17:39 profiles that I’m gonna be applying this 17:41 to because again it does it’s not going 17:43 to require all the traditional SEO stuff 17:45 right for me to be able to start 17:47 generating leads so once my VA that I 17:49 just trained 17:50 she just started full-time this week on 17:52 doing the post I’m gonna I’m gonna start 17:55 adding additional clients to her you 17:57 know or lead-gen properties for her to 17:59 do this for for me as well and I’m gonna 18:01 be including some of those leads in 18:02 properties so you and I’d Don probably 18:04 be in the same boat as trying to revive 18:07 lead gen properties with just the GMB 18:09 pro method it should work it should work 18:11 great so I’m anxious to see what happens 18:13 he says I have a lead gen brand with two 18:15 locations that have been verified at the 18:17 UPS stores back when that was a thing 18:19 yeah right both locations have tons of 18:21 citation built in I check GMB insights 18:23 and they both are showing up and map 18:24 search occasionally considering you guys 18:26 still verify Pio boxes is there any 18:28 foreseeable reason not to use an old 18:30 verified UPS store address I would try 18:32 it dawn you know I wouldn’t spend a 18:34 whole lot of time on it but what I would 18:36 do remember if you’re using a post 18:40 scheduling app which I recommend send 18:43 about right now however as we just 18:45 mentioned or as Marco just mentioned 18:47 we’re gonna have our own posting app 18:48 available very soon maybe even my launch 18:53 time next week is that correct that’s 18:56 right we won’t have the the RSS feature 18:59 going in but we can definitely pull an 19:02 RSS going out okay it’s gonna be awesome 19:07 yeah oh yeah and guys the the stuff that 19:10 we’re developing into that our GMB post 19:13 posting app which will allow scheduling 19:15 and all that kind of stuff we’re 19:17 developing things into it that integrate 19:19 specifically with our other products 19:21 right so for example syndication 19:23 networks and stuff like that so there’s 19:24 a reason why we’re developing and it’s 19:26 not just you know because sin doubles 19:28 good on its own and I know there’s 19:29 probably some other ones out there I’m 19:31 just using sin double right now our 19:32 develop so just to let you know what I 19:36 would do is go ahead and schedule a 19:37 bunch of posts on like often keep your 19:41 frequency of publishing really high for 19:43 a UPS store Vera 19:44 GMB profile because I noticed that 19:47 typically those do get like basically 19:50 ignored by maps because I had a few of 19:53 them in the past too but when they kind 19:55 of caught on to that stuff which I don’t 19:56 I can’t imagine YPO boxes still work so 19:58 well because they do I don’t know why 20:00 but ups stores typically for me all of 20:02 those tanked but if you have one and you 20:04 want to test to see if you can revive it 20:06 I would just schedule a whole bunch of 20:07 posts and now since you bought the the 20:10 the course I just uploaded training 20:12 today process Docs for how you can 20:15 scrape a whole bunch of images really 20:17 quickly risa auto crop and resize them 20:20 so that they will will be accepted by 20:22 GMB posts they’ll be the right 20:24 dimensions the right sizes you can 20:26 rename them key words you strip the EXIF 20:28 data when you scrape the image and then 20:30 you add exif data using GS setter which 20:32 is a free software so all that training 20:35 has been added to the course today you 20:37 can go in and check it out and I you 20:38 know that’s something that you can do to 20:40 scrape a bunch of bulk images and 20:42 schedule a whole lot of posts and see 20:43 what you can do to revive that by the 20:47 way let me know how that goes I’m 20:49 curious just uh you know I’m gonna be 20:50 doing it too but I’ve got so much other 20:52 work on my I don’t know what I’m going 20:54 to get to it so let me know how it goes 20:56 done you know what Brandi I Google kind 21:01 of recycled and they let you get away 21:03 with stuff that you used to look for 21:05 awhile they won’t and then for awhile 21:07 they will I went in I went in ahead and 21:09 verified on us a UPS box uh-huh 21:15 I got one I use store box and I’m using 21:19 it and I don’t care it’s where I eat 21:21 that really like you just did that 21:24 recently and it accepted it yeah yeah 21:27 Wow 21:27 and so on follow the training although 21:32 the training as far as how you optimize 21:34 to make it look as legit as possible 21:37 guys I’m gonna go ahead and give this 21:40 with that that’s one of the keys you 21:42 have to be transparently cool if you try 21:44 to off you skate and and try to get away 21:46 with a whole bunch of garbage in in that 21:50 it’s the Google ecosystem then it’s 21:53 likely that will not pay attention to 21:55 don’t know it’s garbage but if you 21:58 if you really transparent and if you’re 22:01 really careful with that entity and 22:03 showing Google that this is a real it’s 22:05 about a real thing on the web it’s from 22:10 there it’s like okay not at all I have 22:12 to do is follow the plan we always set a 22:15 plan for right a way on how you build up 22:18 on on how you you set up your 22:19 accommodation and so that��s all I can 22:21 give for free but you know catch us in 22:24 in a future webinar and we’ll be adding 22:27 a whole bunch more training as I said 22:30 I’m doing I’m going to do update 22:31 webinars because it’s going to need it 22:34 so there’s a lot of things coming and 22:36 I’m looking forward to seeing how this 22:38 works because that’s that’s kind of you 22:41 know national the idea that I’m looking 22:43 forward to him letting us know about 22:45 local yeah and so last part of that dawn 22:48 is Marco mentioned you know one of the 22:51 things you can do besides just what I 22:53 mentioned with the dub you know posting 22:56 real with a high frequency of publishing 22:58 to that listing to try to revive it is 23:01 to show Google that it’s a you know a 23:03 real business besides that it’s verified 23:05 G&B; there’s some other things you can do 23:07 very simply like for example by the G 23:11 suite account for that for that brand so 23:13 that’s five dollars a month basically if 23:15 you can have jefes anything that you can 23:17 do to add a billing to Google where 23:19 you’re paying Google even a small amount 23:20 you could do G suite account five 23:23 dollars a month or you could set up a an 23:25 AdWords account for that for that 23:26 company that business right under which 23:29 should be obviously owned by a separate 23:31 Google profile or persona right and so 23:33 you can set up an AdWords account and 23:35 run some YouTube ads with a dollar a day 23:37 budget or something like that or 50 23:39 cents a day budget or something like 23:40 that to run some YouTube ads with links 23:42 that point back to you know your Google 23:44 Maps listing or GMB post URL for example 23:48 and anything that you can do to add some 23:50 you know verification and a billing 23:53 billing you could buy Google Drive like 23:55 upgraded storage right for Google Drive 23:57 for that account and that’s only I don’t 23:59 know a few bucks per month or something 24:01 like that anything you can do like that 24:02 would help right sending traffic to the 24:05 post that’s different that’s something 24:06 of tier 2 and 25:28 tier 3 links slams behind it and so I 25:31 know hernan’s method works has worked 25:34 really well for us for the last couple 25:36 of years for trying to treat your tier 1 25:38 properties you know nicely with link 25:42 building you don’t want to throw kitchen 25:43 sink spam at him and so you know hernán 25:46 had a formula it was working really well 25:48 and I don’t know if it was turn-ons for 25:49 you or formula or daddy or link building 25:51 managers formula and he just knew it or 25:53 not if you’re still on you can clarify 25:54 but we said something like yeah like 75 25:58 to 125 tier 1 links like high quality 26:01 contextual links per wetsuit auto 26:03 property or something is that right yeah 26:05 it’s something like that it was like 26:06 yeah it was like between yeah 75 to 100 26:09 to 120 you know you want to keep it like 26:11 nice and easy and really high filter web 26:15 2.0 properties that was that that was 26:17 the whole thing and then you is GSA 28:07 spam and so it like I said it it’s it’s 28:09 I know it’s two hundred twenty dollars 28:11 but it’s it’s all that I do and then I 28:14 usually only have to do that once maybe 28:16 twice per year you know occasionally 28:18 maybe once every quarter for stuff 28:20 that’s a little bit more competitive or 28:22 if I notice something starts to slip a 28:24 little bit in rankings but typically 28:26 remember guys it’s just to really boost 28:28 that tier one network up so that 28:30 whenever you’re as long as your content 28:32 marketing blogging right your blogging 28:33 and you’re using that syndication 28:35 network consistently every time you pose 28:38 and it gets pushed out to those tier 1 28:41 properties they’re gonna basically 28:44 benefit from all that link juice that’s 28:46 running in from these thousands of links 28:48 that are pointed at you know funneling 28:50 down to those so remember it’s about 28:53 with page a nation for example like on 28:56 your three blog sites you’ve got blogger 28:58 tumblr WordPress and you may have more 28:59 but those are the three primary blogging 29:01 sites within the tier 1 Network those 29:03 have a blog role on the home page and 29:05 depending on your settings typically 29:07 they’ll page n8 post will page and they 29:08 rights to push off page 1 and go to a 29:10 like an archive page with 10 posts or so 29:14 again you can usually change that in 29:16 settings but let’s say that you know 29:18 you’ve got all this link juice running 29:19 home to your home page the profile the 29:21 the home page URL of that blog then 29:24 whenever you post your your your main 29:26 money site and it’s indicates out you’re 29:29 gonna have all that link juice that’s 29:30 funneling at that home page coming 29:32 through that internal link from that 29:33 post pointing back to your site now 29:35 eventually when it pushes off page 1 29:37 yeah you lose that but you should have 29:38 10 other posts right that are pushing to 29:40 other parts of your site and so what I 29:43 like I like I said that’s why it’s not 29:44 something guys that I do a whole lot of 29:46 like the link building to my network 29:48 properties it’s something that I usually 29:49 do immediately write it well not 29:51 immediately but soon after I start 29:53 syndicating regularly to my network and 29:56 then again I’ll probably boosted maybe 29:58 once per year so it ends up you know I 30:01 end up after the initial link building 30:03 package I usually end up doing it about 30:05 one more time every year unless I have 30:08 brand to begin with but that but then as 38:29 soon as I have a service provider in 38:31 place which usually now I have a service 38:33 provider before the site’s even built 38:35 because again it’s you know I’ve it’s up 38:38 I don’t have to typically I’m not going 38:41 out and creating sites first and then 38:42 backing into a certain like finding a 38:44 service provider anymore because I’ve decide I’m saying I’m not opposed to 39:42 doing that be careful with it you know 39:44 certainly be careful with it but you can 39:46 do that too and there’s some products 39:47 out there that will allow you to spam 39:49 reviews kind of an automated fashion but 39:52 remember those are always that always 39:54 you always run the risk of having an 39:56 account terminated if you are spamming 39:58 reviews so just keep that in mind so you 40:01 got to be careful about that okay 40:04 so for me like I said I don’t and in our 40:07 I also because the lead gen properties 40:10 are all in my you know they’re my 40:12 properties when we get webform 40:16 submissions so when somebody submits a 40:18 contact request form from one of the 40:19 landing pages then that those get copied 40:22 to me and so I will typically follow up 40:25 with emails via you know lead like 40:27 contact customer emails that came 40:29 through my lead gen properties and I’ll 40:32 follow up when I find out for my 40:34 contractors if the job was completed if 40:36 they bid on the job and they got it and 40:37 they completed the job then I’ll find 40:39 out whenever I get paid for my 40:41 contractors we usually have a brief 40:42 discussion as to you know what leads 40:44 were successful which ones weren’t that 40:46 kind of stuff and and I’ll find I’ll 40:49 email them if it was through the webform 40:51 the initial contact or because remember 40:53 a lot of this stuff is done via phone 40:55 and we never even get their email 40:56 address but if I do have their email 40:57 address then I will send out an email 40:59 say hey thanks for your interest in 41:02 whatever company name we would really 41:04 appreciate a review and I’ll send out an 41:06 email and probably maybe two or three 41:08 out of ten emails that I’ll send out 41:10 will end up getting a review and I’ll 41:11 set you know send the link directly to 41:13 the Google Maps page or Yelp or Facebook 41:15 from there which by the way just as a 41:17 quick aside guys from now on for new 41:20 businesses I’m not even going to get a 41:24 Yelp page and I know that sucks because 41:25 there’s a lot of traffic and Yelp but I 41:28 am so over Yelp and the the fact that 41:31 they just non-stop harass like any 41:33 client that I put in to Yelp like they 41:36 just non-stop call them over and over 41:38 and over again trying to sell them 41:39 advertising and because I’m listed on so 41:42 many lead gen properties with phones 41:43 like you know my dispatch center because 41:46 I have everything that I control go 41:48 through a call center I use answer 41:50 connect 41:51 komm they’re great I’ve been using them 41:52 for years and um my call center like it 41:55 they literally get hammered all the time 41:58 with the out calls and it just it drives 42:00 me up a wall because I pay for those 42:02 calls all the time and I’m talking about 42:04 guys this is no joke anywhere between 42:06 ten to fifteen calls from Yelp 42:08 representatives per week per week think 42:11 about that three to five calls per day 42:14 like it’s insane it’s absolutely insane 42:17 I can’t stand Yelp and every single time 42:19 I end up talking to them because 42:22 sometimes I’ll see the same Yelp rep 42:24 call like six times in two weeks it’s 42:27 like three times a week you know and 42:28 finally I’ll call them back and tell 42:30 them to stop stop effing spamming my 42:32 dispatch center we’re not interested you 42:35 know what I mean 42:36 and it’s always the same pitch from then 42:38 they always say the same thing well we 42:40 see that you’ve got multiple locations 42:41 and I’m your new Yelp rep they always 42:44 say that I’m your new Yelp rep and I 42:46 just want to go over how your listings 42:48 not getting as much exposure as it could 42:50 it’s the same pitch every time and every 42:52 time I get mad and tell them I’m not 42:54 attacking you personally but I hate your 42:57 company and in their methods you know so 43:00 anyways I’m just that was just a quick 43:01 aside because I wanted to say if you 43:03 guys are doing lead gen stuff highly 43:05 recommend don’t use Yelp even though you 43:07 can get traffic from it you’ll get a 43:09 ton of just spam calls guys from 43:11 them okay avoid it and if you’ve got do 43:15 your clients a favor your noot like any 43:17 new clients that you sign up if they’re 43:18 not on Yelp don’t recommend it you know 43:21 what I mean because they will get 43:23 hammered they will literally get 43:24 hammered with calls Sam what’s up buddy 43:27 says quick question can Google search 43:29 results for non-local search terms vary 43:30 by country I’m traveling right now I 43:33 noticed some changes in my rankings yes 43:35 absolutely 43:36 Sam it can it can vary by country can 43:39 vary by literally you know like 43:43 neighborhoods you know what I mean like 43:45 especially if you’re on mobile like it 43:47 can vary just because you moved your 43:49 you’re 20 miles away like if you got you 43:51 know what I mean so like yeah absolutely 43:52 the the SERPs change based upon IP 43:55 location that that happens often that’s 43:58 why ranked trackers just aren’t working 43:59 nearly as well as they used to guys are 44:01 not nearly as accurate as they used to 44:02 be because searches are so much 44:05 more localized now based upon the 44:07 searchers location you can literally 44:09 walk around the block and get like four 44:12 different yeah results on the search if 44:16 as long as you’re not logged in if 44:17 you’re logged in and everything’s going 44:19 to be the same because Google is giving 44:21 you results according to your 44:24 preferences rather than your location 44:25 but if you sign out going carnita your 44:29 mobile device and you start walking 44:30 around you’ll see different results for 44:32 the same search part yeah yeah that’s 44:37 why I said like local search results are 44:39 becoming so much more localized now 44:40 based upon search relocation and also 44:44 search or preferences that’s kind of 44:46 what we’re talking about with the local 44:47 GMB Pro webinar the other day when I was 44:49 talking about you know how I think this 44:51 is working again this is just my my 44:54 assumption as to how the GMB Pro method 44:56 is working so well the end of like 44:59 regardless of three pack rankings 45:02 whether you’re ranking in a three pack 45:04 or not like again ranked trackers may 45:06 not show that your business is ranking 45:09 in the three pack would give you 47:19 the the chance to test the method 47:21 yourself prove that it works to yourself 47:23 and then you’d have a portfolio 47:24 basically a case study that you could 47:27 show to the 47:37 angle of making it activity bit based 47:38 like you have them like some other 47:40 people have that we were we’ve gotten 47:42 testimonial well going a pidgin to the 47:44 climate as a service rather than that 47:48 trying to pitch the person on the 47:52 results that they’re going to get you 47:53 make an activity base will you do 47:55 optimization and post as a byproduct 47:58 then what they’ll see is that activity 48:01 and those goals start coming in and then 48:04 you could concentrate on okay so after 48:07 so much time what we’ll do is we’ll go 48:10 and if you want to go on online pay per 48:13 call basis or however you want to do it 48:15 if you want to switch it or if you want 48:16 to just keep it I don’t know five 48:18 hundred dollars a month for Google my 48:19 business optimization and the 48:22 maintenance and posting and videos and 48:26 and whatever and then have them do all 48:28 the work yeah yep 48:32 Roxanne’s up she says if I’m trying to 48:34 rank your local site will customers be 48:36 searching keyword plus city or just 48:37 keyword and will the site be seen in the 48:39 city because of location 48:41 well Roxanne I mean yes people will 48:43 search both ways it really depends on 48:45 first of all the individual but second 48:47 of all like what type of device they’re 48:48 on most people on desktop or laptop are 48:51 gonna search keyword plus city or city 48:53 plus keyword right some sort of 48:55 combination of a keyword plus a local 48:58 modifier but that’s not always the case 49:00 but typically that’s what you’re gonna 49:02 see is on desktop laptop people will 49:04 search that way but for mobile they 49:05 don’t Moe will happen typically with 49:07 with mobile guys people will start to 49:09 search a keyword and autosuggest will 49:11 suggest a localized keyword based upon 49:14 their location and they’ll tap through 49:16 they’ll just tap the autosuggest 49:18 query search query which lot of the 49:21 times will contain the keyword so you 49:24 know and it’s not always the case but a 49:26 lot of the times will contain the 49:27 keyword so you 49:28 I absolutely still optimize for keyword 49:32 plus location modifier okay that’s how I 49:35 optimize and in the thing is with 49:38 localized searches again even if 49:40 somebody does just search the broader 49:41 keyword without the location modifier if 49:43 your site is doing well for that keyword 49:46 in that location and they’re like 49:48 literally physically located in that 49:50 area then yeah you should pop up for it 49:52 anyways there is some differences there 49:54 you know again I doesn’t doesn’t mean 49:57 you’re always gonna pop up you might 49:59 rank for the keyword plus the local 50:00 modifier and not rank for just the 50:02 broader keyword or maybe it’s ranked a 50:04 little bit lower or something like that 50:05 but typically you will be able to to 50:08 capitalize on any search within those 50:11 those parameters right that with 50:12 somebody in that location with the 50:14 search and for that keyword and it says 50:16 it seems the keyword plus city has 50:18 really low search well maybe according 50:20 to what though 50:21 according to Google’s keyword planner 50:22 that’s not accurate anyways guys those 50:24 are just like kind of benchmarks right 50:27 those are kind of an indication of what 50:29 you’re looking at but I know for a fact 50:30 that there are keywords out there that 50:32 I’ve got ranked that produced very very 50:34 well for me that the keyword planner 50:37 says it’s low search volume but I know 50:40 for a fact that I get you know much more 50:42 traffic than what I should based upon 50:45 what the keyword plan 50:46 data says so remember don’t just take 50:48 those with a grain of salt there they’re 50:50 kind of an indication that you can use 50:52 but I remember Roxanne the keyword 50:55 planner is an AdWords tool so it’s 50:57 showing what people are searching for 50:59 and clicking on through the AdWords not 51:01 necessarily SEO it’s not an SEO keyword 51:04 tool it’s an adwords keyword – a PPC 51:07 keyword tool okay so the data is skewed 51:10 for advertisers it’s not the same as for 51:13 SEO s you guys want to add to that at 51:15 all you know just that she can also 51:17 optimize for clothes for nearly nearly 51:23 died and all that yet buy clothes to me 51:26 all of those keywords and that will add 51:28 to your to your search volume yep 51:33 absolutely 51:34 Paul says hey guys are you still seeing 51:36 positive results with your syndication 51:38 networks yeah Paul I haven’t I mean it’s 51:41 just standard operating procedure it 51:43 helps to validate the entity there’s a 51:44 lot of benefits from having syndication 51:47 networks so absolutely I still see 51:50 benefit from it positive results from it 51:52 there’s no question doesn’t matter if 51:54 you apply a syndication network to a new 51:56 website I mean yeah it to me does I 52:00 always apply it it’s just again standard 52:03 operating procedure so I mean I’ve got 52:06 some sites out there légion stuff 52:08 especially that I you know I talked 52:10 about a few times the local PR Pro 52:12 method that we you know we hadn’t we 52:15 launched a course about that last month 52:16 I specifically set up some sites that 52:20 did not have syndication networks just 52:22 to see if I can rank in maps without the 52:24 syndication network using only press 52:26 releases and I was able to achieve that 52:27 over and over again but again for 52:30 anything that I like those were testing 52:32 properties so anything that I know I’m 52:34 gonna run like clients I always suggest 52:35 a syndication network not just to sell 52:37 them a syndication network because it it 52:39 helps to solidify their brand right it 52:42 helps to protect their brand by securing 52:44 those web to properties with their brand 52:46 name there’s a lot it’s a lot of stuff 52:48 about branding now and about building 52:50 authority for the brand and so those are 52:53 all things that absolutely I recommend 52:55 to all clients I recommend I do to all 52:57 of my lead gen stuff when I’m not using 52:59 specifically for testing purposes 53:01 syndication networks are just again 53:03 standard operating procedure do we have 53:07 time for a little ranked process I’ll 53:11 try to keep it civil and we’ve only got 53:13 a couple questions left so yeah yeah no 53:15 f-bombs look man 53:17 oh there’s a lot of again gurus and 53:21 ninjas and experts saying that 53:23 syndications syndication networks don’t 53:25 work that they have no value no whatever 53:27 look freak it is that they’re saying and 53:30 then oh yeah we tested and then you 53:34 probably you find out that they went and 53:35 tested a fiber gig they didn’t test 53:38 syndication never built the semantic 53:41 mastery wait you cannot pay five bucks 53:43 for a syndication network that’s built 53:45 the semantic mastery wait you know how 53:47 long it takes a little bit to just train 53:49 our builders to build a syndication 53:52 network the semantic mastering wait how 53:53 long it takes to research all of the 53:55 different sites I don’t find them all 53:57 together so they’re all working together 53:59 as one cohesive unit now how in the world 54:02 can you say and then not only that you 54:04 do three or four posts and it has a 54:08 negligible effect it doesn’t work well 54:10 forget you I’m sorry my new is coming up 54:21 because I can show you like a million 54:24 ways how the testing was flawed how the 54:27 logic behind that type of testing is 54:30 flawed from inception your thought 54:33 process is screwed up the result is going 54:36 to be even more screwed up period and so 54:39 guys will you look at this go take a 54:42 look at what we do and how we do it and 54:45 first compare and then test you know 54:49 that it takes about three months to get 54:52 out of out of the sandbox so you’re not 54:54 going to see the results right away what 54:56 you’re doing is you’re building up your 54:57 entity you’re building up trust 54:59 Authority you’re building up art 55:01 activity activity relevance trust and 55:04 authority activity on the link relevance 55:06 through the link in both directions from 55:08 the website providing the link and the 55:11 rest are receiving the link and then 55:12 trusting 55:13 how much trust and authority does that 55:15 mean Carol 55:16 once you put all that together that’s 55:18 when this begins working but it happened 55:20 during a process over time I hope that 55:25 answers the question because this is one 55:27 of those that that really sets me off oh 55:29 the stuff doesn’t work these guys don’t 55:30 know what they’re doing 55:31 yeah um next question we can 55:36 only got a couple minutes left guys I do 55:38 have to wrap it up kind of on time today 55:40 quit this house says if you have an 55:42 AdWords account is it a good idea to run 55:44 ads to videos from separate spam 55:46 accounts I was thinking of using rocket 55:48 video ranker with 30 videos and I wanted 55:50 to send real local views to the top 55:51 videos in that account um that’s a good 55:54 question uh you know I’ve done it 55:56 without having like any negative like I 55:58 haven’t had any of my accounts 55:59 terminated from doing that but I would I 56:02 haven’t done it like at scale in other 56:05 words I haven’t done it like a whole 56:07 bunch of times which is I would I would 56:09 be concerned with I don’t know that that 56:11 would be any problem at all when you’re 56:12 paying Google right when you’re giving 56:14 Google money I think there are a lot 56:16 more lenient with like some spammy ish 56:20 Spanish type of activity when it comes 56:23 to that so what I’m saying is if you do 56:26 an AdWords link request where you’re 56:27 linking YouTube accounts other YouTube 56:29 accounts to your one AdWords account 56:31 which is what I recommend I would not 56:32 recommend setting up a bunch of 56:33 different Albert’s accounts but um 56:35 you’re you’re not acting as like the 56:38 account owner you’re just you’re 56:40 advertising to another channel that has 56:42 been you’ve authorized as a linking 56:44 partner so I don’t think it’s a I don’t 56:47 think it’s gonna be an issue but what I 56:48 would do is maybe you know try to start 56:52 off slowly like I wouldn’t go take ten 56:54 different rocket video ranker channels 56:56 and do all linked connection requests 56:59 and all that stuff to where you’re 57:00 linking accounts all together I wouldn’t 57:02 do that I would start off with one and 57:04 run a couple of ads and let it run for a 57:06 few days or a week or two and see like 57:08 you know maybe add a second account and 57:10 maybe a third and do it slowly start to 57:12 ramp it up and see 57:14 you 57:16 you 57:18 they think it’s Emmie but they won’t 57:20 like terminate the account and then you 57:22 can always get what I found with AdWords 57:24 is I don’t mess around too much with the 57:26 the emails that they’ll send when when 57:28 you have an account you know an ad 57:31 suspended or a site suspended and 57:33 sometimes that’ll happen will they’ll 57:34 suspend a destination URL altogether or 57:36 domain altogether but typically I would 57:39 just get on the phone with them because 57:41 I’m paying money right so there’s no 57:42 reason not to get on the phone and a lot 57:44 of times you know it takes a little bit 57:45 of time to talk to one of the 57:46 representatives but though they’re 57:48 usually helpful and they’ll provide 57:49 suggestions as to how to get the 57:52 suspension lifted from you the ad itself 57:54 or the domain or the landing page or 57:56 whatever and in this case it would be 57:57 from videos so you know sometimes those 58:00 conversations are even though it’s a bit 58:02 of a pain in the ass they’re helpful 58:03 because it gives you insight on what not 58:06 to do the next time right so that you 58:07 can avoid that the next time so I you 58:11 know I would try it again I don’t think 58:12 it’s gonna be an issue because if those 58:14 other youtube channels are actually 58:15 owned I’m using air quotes by different 58:17 Google profiles then it shouldn’t affect 58:19 your AdWords account other than perhaps 58:20 they may suspend the ad if they don’t 58:23 like it if they think should spammy but 58:25 again you’re paying Google to send you 58:27 like you’re buying YouTube views from 58:29 AdWords basically so it’s not something 58:31 I really haven’t had any issues with 58:32 videos unless the videos had destination 58:35 URL the ad itself likes which like 58:37 linked out to a landing page that didn’t 58:39 mean it wasn’t in compliance right have 58:45 you sold an established GMB no I have 58:48 not I know you can I mean you can just 58:50 like so on a business right you could do 58:52 that there but I have not Bob sorry Don 58:55 says Yelp is the devil I’ve had 58:57 contractors almost fire me because of 58:58 Yelp all +1 that because I’m telling you 59:00 guys yeah I mean they will literally 59:02 hound your clients just like they hound 59:05 me to death and it’s just it’s just 59:07 absolutely unbearable it’s terrible I 59:10 can’t stand Yelp James says how 59:12 necessary does it power up my 59:13 syndication network with link building 59:15 packages is and if it’s necessary again 59:17 James you you may be able to not do it 59:20 at all I don’t recommend that again I a 59:22 standard operating procedure is once I 59:24 have a network bill and I published a 59:25 few posts to it or syndicated if you 59:27 post to it then I’ll send it out for 59:29 link building and I only do that maybe 59:30 once 59:32 and in maybe once a year I’ll do a boost 59:34 and again if it’s really competitive 59:36 from if I need additional things which 59:39 right now I just really haven’t because 59:40 you know next is an ROI sDrive stack 59:43 next or a set of press releases and now 59:45 I do press releases regularly for all my 59:47 all my properties so you know in a room 59:49 guys remember I do all local stuff so 59:51 like everything I have is trying to rank 59:53 in maps really and press releases helped 59:54 a lot with that so it’s a but I’ll also 59:57 order link building packages to specific 59:59 press releases for example we talked 60:01 about local PR Pro if you can a lot of 60:04 the distribution services do will 60:06 preview the ability to provide or to 60:09 create an organization page which is 60:11 like a company news or press page where 60:14 all PRS that are assigned to that 60:17 company or published for that company 60:18 will show up unlike a basically like a 60:20 blog role or a blog index page but it’s 60:22 an it’s a PR index page for that 60:24 specific company those are great pages 60:26 guys to hammer with links right to buy 60:29 link building packages for because now 60:31 every time you publish another PR with 60:33 that same distribution service for that 60:35 company it’s gonna go be listed almost 60:38 like a blog would be on an index page or 60:41 a home page of one of your blog sites in 60:42 your tier one property right and so now 60:44 you can just power that up just 60:46 instantly by just publishing to that 60:48 same PR distribution network right you 60:50 automatically power that PR because it 60:52 gets listed on that company page which 60:55 you’ve got a ton of links point of that 60:56 so that’s my point like again think 60:59 about how you can get the most bang for 61:01 your buck with link building packages 61:02 James and I highly recommend doing it 61:05 you will get a lot better results from 61:07 an initial syndication network or drive 61:10 stack or anything for that matter if you 61:11 can put some links behind it some links 61:14 still do help guys they’re just not the 61:16 be-all end-all in my opinion anymore and 61:17 no other people may argue with me on 61:19 that but I know I can do quite well 61:21 without a whole lot of links I just 61:22 don’t need them there are there are 61:23 still useful though he says well and I 61:28 got to wrap it up guys and that will 61:29 benefit my site through the curated 61:31 posts I’ve done over the past few months 61:32 now because they’re not going to be if 61:36 you’re if you’re powering up your 61:37 syndication network just that the the 61:39 profile URLs are like the home page URLs 61:41 for example select if in your 61:43 spreadsheet if you just collect it all 61:46 the URLs write the specific URLs for 61:48 each one of your web 2 sites and you 61:49 submitted those than know your older 61:51 posts will not benefit from that the 61:54 ones that have paginated they’ve been 61:55 pushed off page 1 which and again I’m 61:57 primarily talking about your main 3 blog 61:59 properties right WordPress tumblr and 62:02 blogger however like the bookmarking 62:05 sites and stuff will benefit still 62:06 typically but my point is what you can 62:09 do though is you can you could include 62:11 the RSS feed URLs from some of those 62:14 sites that have them into the link 62:16 building package or derp right so that 62:18 you’re powering up your RSS feeds to 62:19 that still older pipe post still won’t 62:22 show in that but what you also could do 62:24 is if you have sitemaps you could you 62:27 could also link build links to the 62:29 sitemaps but you could the last thing 62:30 you can do is actually extract your post 62:33 URLs the already published post URLs 62:35 from the web 2 sites and include those 62:37 in the link building order right and 62:39 lastly you could also put a plug-in on 62:43 your site we have our the semantic 62:45 mastery RSS plugin that will republish 62:47 old posts but you can all if if you’re 62:50 if the premium version does that you 62:51 have to be in the mastermind to get that 62:53 but there’s also a free version of a 62:55 plugin that I’ve used republish old 62:59 posts is what it’s called a wordpress 63:02 plugin and this is it right here in 63:06 philippic republish old posts you can 63:08 install this on your WordPress blog and 63:10 I think they have a they have a premium 63:13 version that’s like 10 bucks guys it’s 63:14 like nine dollars no kidding it’s worth 63:17 it okay get the premium version if 63:19 you’ve got a bunch of content on a blog 63:20 that you want to rescind ok because you 63:22 can you can have content recent like you 63:24 can set very specific parameters is how 63:26 you want older content to republish 63:29 which will trigger a new syndication so 63:32 you know again my recommendation would 63:35 be to go ahead and just power up your 63:37 profile URLs and then republish old 63:40 posts so that you get the benefit of 63:42 them from the to the old post without 63:44 having to extract all the individual 63:46 post URLs that’s a bit of a pain in the 63:47 ass 63:48 ok good question though alright Steve 63:52 thanks John dawn for the mean last 63:54 question loving follow along through 64:50 the process doc and record your own 64:52 training videos for your VA s working on 64:55 one of your own projects so that you can 64:58 when you send the training the process 65:00 Doc’s to the VA put the video training 65:02 the the video URLs at it’s always step 65:05 number one in my prospects process Doc’s 65:07 put that in there and uh and that way 65:10 when you’re when you train a VA the VA 65:12 is being trained by you by your voice by 65:14 your clients by your methods instead of 65:16 me that makes sense you can handle the 65:18 process doc but make
