✨ History Time! (Long Post!) Packard vehicles were founded 120 years ago in Warren, Ohio by two brothers, (James and William Packard). They wished to build a better "horseless carriage" than the competition. By chance, a wealthy bro in Detroit bought one of the Packard models, and wanted the Packard's to move to Detroit to sell their models, and the rest is History. Not really, because Packards went defunct in 1958. But they were beautiful, high-quality, -outselling Cadillac-vehicles. At the America's Packard Museum, in Ohio, there is plenty on display. First pic (1) is A 42 Clipper, an Army staff Packard owned by General Doug MacArthur. What Bucky is sitting on is a plane Engine motor. (Also built by Packard) (2) Rebuilt La Carrera Packard 200. With only 3 gears, and 150 horsepower, this boi got up to 78 mph. BONUS is the porcelain "Packard" sign that used to be atop the factory. (3) 1930's Packard. Can't tell which model it is, but it is pretty. ✨ (4) Bucky thinks it's pretty, too. 🌻 (5) This Henney-Landau was direct from the Godfather (the movie, in 73'). They were used as hearses and ambulances, weighing a little over 6K tons, but fully loaded so the sick/deceased could take their final trip in luxury.
