Hey. Can you possibly make a post recommending your favourite painters? I’d like to follow them for inspiration and advice. I love learning ✌🏻 Merci! *smacksyourass*

Okay! As I understand, the lore (the story) stuff is not your jam (yet), so I’ll focus on painting blogs mainly.

I know you’ve followed a few already and more will come to you on their own. So I’ll stick to the few blogs from the top of my head.

@will-tomorrow isn’t very active anymore but in the field of painting and kitbashing / creating their own stuff, it’s a must visit.

@genjide is Johan, so, voilà.

@kouratdrhuii really awesome painter with a blog that has a balance of wips and finished minis and almost nothing else.

@kaijuslayer isn’t posting much of his awesome minis of late (because he has an equally awesome new puppy) but ‘t is me first good friend on here. He posts about a lot of different things so if you don’t feel like following, he won’t hold a grudge

@petepaintswarhammer is a fellow 40k dad, father of two, mainly his cool minis, lately the big warmachines known as “Imperial Knights” (I want one) and the futuristic looking “T’au” race.

@boilingcopper is German and now lives in Australia his blog is a mix of friendly banter and impressive paint jobs.

@talrin mixes comics, sci-fi, masterfully painted minis and a lot of The Elder Scrolls stuff (which you might like, you Nord lass)

@skitsmixcommissions is the showcase blog of @wtf-skittens just look at them minis! 

@thestonecuttersguild is hobbying taken to a whole’n’other level…

I’d recommend following @40kmemes and @bad40kadvice even if you don’t get the jokes at the moment, it might pique your interest or get relevant through time.

PS : I see you’ve already followed @a-40k-author so yeah, good job on getting the basics rights :D

Hi! I really admire your painting skills and I was wondering if you could give me some advice. A friend of mine passed away last year and his family gave me a bunch of his unpainted models. I've never had and really never even seen much about Nurgle models, so I wouldn't really even know what sort of paint scheme to start looking at. I wanna do these models up as best as I can, for him. Any advice on a paint scheme or any other tips and tricks for these fellas?

Thanks you for liking my way of painting, that’s really something I like to hear - especially now when my motivation to paint is at the freezing point of nitrogen. 😉 As for the Nurglings:I never painted Nurgle before, so I have no experience whatsoever with them.I do have my ideas what to paint how and with which color/technique but to write it all down would take a loooong while!I’d make a video but I don’t have a model to paint, so that’s out of the question as well! 😕My best advise: @40kshadesofpink just started painting, started with Nurgle, and does a terrific job!!Having @a-40k-dad-showcase breathing down your neck - no wonder! 😉 I’d suggest you pop over to her blog, have a look around on those beautiful models, maybe get some inspiration; ask questions!But IF you’re really after my advice on ‘what to paint how’ just drop me another ask on what exactly you want to know how to paint (like: guts, rust, golden trims, wear&tear, etc)! 🤗Cheers, Copper

Here is the finished fungoid cave shaman! 😄 I had so much trouble to take some good pics of it 😂. Even if I’m pretty proud of this piece I can’t wait to get to the next one. Some weeks ago I participated in a painting competition. I didn’t reach the top 3 but I get something better. I’ve got a lot of advice to improve my work and I can’t wait to test them. 😆 I would like to thank @40kshadesofpink who advised me to paint this mini ! 😄

It worked pretty well, a few artifacts to cleanup but otherwise, this is really awesome. I’ll be able to produce almost GW-quality pictures with a sharpness throughout the whole depth.

I did these four and I’m like “ok, bye”.

But anyway, I’m still recutting this season to have a long movie containing only the action happening on Ilus, because my adhd ass is sick with location / character / plot jumping and cliffhangers that are on every episodes even though production knows they release the whole thing on day one. (can’t escape the format I guess)
