Months ago I checked how long I actually spend on this app, and i was like, girl, that is not a healthy number
Let's set a 'go touch grass' lock out, but also, let's not be hasty here, let's set it for 4.5hrs that's pretty much a second shift at that point, who is gonna spend THAT LONG on this app?
In good news though, it works!?
I sat down with wine and snacks and have made progress on the long long neglected giant jigsaw!!
Just clicked thru the whole jigsaw saga and that was riveting! How are you storing them while they are in progress?
Little old ladies were right! jigsaws ARE fun!
After the difficulty I had with my 5000 piece jigsaw on carpet (not recommended) I decided to get some foam boards and tape them together to make a puzzle board
Each panel is 1m x 1.5m ish, so a the competed panels are stacked neatly on their boards, the in long in progress one is on top and all the sorted pieces are in lots and lots of tubs
Which is just as well because about a year after I started it I moved house and I cannot imagine the horror of moving 18,000+ completed pieces if they're weren't already packed up like that
I'm back at my silly little jigsaw and this panel is Dumbo
I watched it once as a child "ha ha elephant can fly" and once in my 20s "ohmygod he's just a baby, mum can't protect him, his community rejects him, he's exploited and lost and scared and he's just a baby"
I'm only looking at the tiny little film stills just now and I already know I couldn't handle it now I have a child of my own, genuinely in danger of having a little sob over some jigsaw pieces of a cartoon elephant
Okay, yes, we are now at a total of 3 missing pieces but I'm not even mad
My toddler and dog, neither of whom were even conceived when I started this panel, have been 'helping' and there was a moment pieces were dropped outside when we moved house 2 years ago. 2 missing pieces is a success
20,157 pieces completed / 20,160 to goooo
It took 1 month to complete the little mermaid and 2yrs 5m to complete beauty and the beast, let's aim for something in the middle got the next one
