Corsair airflow 4000d
Tumblr media
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 January 2021 This also allows to hide the cable as it is quite bulky like all USB 3.0 Cables. A simple fix for this would be to buy USB 3.0 extension cable for inside. The only problem I encountered was the front panel USB 3.0 connector was very tight when plugging it into my motherboard and it almost broke when I tried unplug it. My 3700x runs around 30c idle and 65c under load with the fans at 45% The glass side panel is so clear it catches my eye every now and then and I think the panel is off.Īirflow through the front is great. See JayzTwoCents and Gamers Nexus for more details on this. This isn't a big problem as long as the pump is lower than the top of the radiator as I have done. One thing to note is that there is not enough room to run a 280mm cooler at the front if you want the pipes at the bottom. I couldn't run 140mm Fans at the top of my 400c as they fouled on my VRM Cooling but that wasn't a problem with the 4000d. They are all secured tight when popped back in.Ĭable management in this case was a pleasure with plenty of space in the back. My System is running a X570 M/B with a 3700x, 16GB RAM, RTX 2060, 2x LL140 Fans (Front), 2x ML140 Fans (Top) and 1x LL120 Fan (Rear)Įverything about this case is just simple and well built, the tempered glass side panel, back panel and front filters just pop off. I can say that this is not the case here. I previously had a Corsair 400c also in white but it was just a bit small, airflow wasn't great and cable management was a struggle. Upgraded my system with a Corsair iCUE H115i Elite Capellix 280mm Cooler and this 4000d Case. Whilst these are all small things in hindsight, combining them together gives this case more issues then it is worth.Īfter you purchase the PSU Shroud Plate, the Accessory Board for the back (when either are available!) and possibly even a front USB Hub, you would be better off just buying the more expensive case that has all of these included anyway!ġ star for the looks, 1 star for airflow. Corsair really skimped on some of the basics to make this case as cheap as it is. You only have 1 USB slot at the front, granted it clearly shows that, but really? Just 1? you couldn't even add a USB 2.0 slot?Ĭorsair has made a nice looking case with decent airflow at a fairly low cost, however, competitors cases at the same price point offer far, far more value for your money (Fractals Meshify C). Strange that an airflow case only has two fans, but can house 6? Also the fans they come with? You cant purchase those separately either. The front filter is extremely flimsy, if you are using fans with high static pressure, I can assure you the constant flapping of the filter will annoy you. If you are using the front as an intake only with Fans, you will have a gaping hole in the shroud unless you buy the plate from corsair (its not even available to purchase yet!). You can move the hard drive tray over 1cm to create some more room, but not if you have a RAD mounted in the front.Īlso, the fact they did not include the plate that covers that part of the shroud is beyond me. Granted, it says nothing in the description about the Motherboard Accessory being included, but the fact is, I have sent several questions to them asking about this, its even on their website as a product, but their is no way to order it? Now if you wanted to have more then 2 SSDs, you can use the Hard Drive tray included, but you have very, very little cable clearance if your using a 180mm PSU such as the RM850. Both the PSU Shroud Plate that sits near the fans and the additional Motherboard Accessory add on need to be purchased separately. Corsair managed to create a great looking case for a great price until you open it up and see that two essential extras need to be purchased separately (and they are not even available yet!). I like the look of this case, I really do, but unless your going for a basic build, this case is pointless.

CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW REVIEW PC
CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW REVIEW PLUS
However, this isn’t the case with the 7000D Airflow. When it comes to many similar products, the removal of loose glass side panels is prone to cracks. We do appreciate that Corsair has the door on hinges to make the case easy to open. You’ll have to sneak your fingers into the gap between the chassis and its doors to open it. Yet again, it lacked handles or notches for grasping. But despite it being huge, we love the case’s design which is clean, sleek, and focused.īoth its right and left side panels are linked via rear-mounted hinges. So, we suggest you ask a friend or family member to help you move it around. That’s unless we’re talking about huge desks or workbenches. Plus, its depth makes it quite challenging to situate on any surface. Nothing on the case’s body works as a handle to help you grip it properly. But giving you measurements doesn’t do justice in letting you know how tricky it is to move around. It’s obviously a chunky and huge piece compared to other cases around. The case weighs 43.6 lbs and bulks your desk by 23.6 x 9.8 x 21.7″. Talking about its design in our Corsair 7000D Airflow Case review, the case’s physical aspects are impossible to overlook. Corsair 7000D Airflow Case Review – Design and Functionality Corsair even included a bag with all the needed fasteners for the case. These are the vertical bracket, six additional Velcro straps, a PWM extension cable, and a replacement PSU shroud bit. Other than the 7000D Airflow Case, you’ll find additional accessories included in the box. You’ll also find an illustration showing the dimensions of the case. The other side has a sticker, letting you know which unit is inside the box. One side of the box displays the specifications of the product, and these are written in several languages. Under the illustration, this is where you’ll find the descriptions for each part from earlier. You’ll find corresponding letters on each part to let you know which portion is being described below.
CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW REVIEW PC
The rear displayed the PC case’s well-documented blow-up diagram, but with each part disassembled. The 7000D Airflow came in a very basic-looking cardboard box featuring an illustration of the case featured in front. Of course, we’ll also see if it’s just as good as they claim.īut before we get into those, our Corsair 7000D Airflow Case review will check its packaging and included contents. We’ll check out what the case has to offer, how Corsair designed it and what its functions and features are. Today, we’re going to talk about this product in our Corsair 7000D Airflow Case review.
CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW REVIEW PLUS
It’s packed with tons of fans, supports large liquid-cooling radiators, plus a huge side window to exhibit your PC build. The company’s huge and quite expensive 7000D Airflow Case is one attractive and spacious product.

Thank you so so much for letting me share this with you and for your feedback ❤️!! So, my idea is that the gaming PC should be able to play all current and upcoming games on very or ultra-high settings without any issues (e.g. Alan Wake 2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, etc.), be silent and not overheat quickly and have good airflow, and have space for expansions and/or upgrades.
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow RGB Edition, glass window, white CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 8x 4.2GHz, 96MB L3 cache or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, 12x 4.4GHz, 128MB L3-Cache => I'm a bit indecisive on which one here. Mainboard: Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX, AMD B650 Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB, Gigabyte Aero OC RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 Corsair Vengeance RGB, 2x 16GB, white SSD: 2TB Western Digital Black SN850X, read up to 7.300 MB/s Power supply: 850W Corsair RMe 2023, fully modular CPU cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i RGB Elite, white, 240mm
It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'm willing to order it if it can do well and I don't need to upgrade it in a bit, especially, because I don't think there'll be many more games with higher graphics as there are currently.
Hey love, that's a kickass build!!! I would go for the Ryzen 9 7900X3D instead. Simply because it's stronger and this is a purchase that should last you for a few years. Series 7 is great but there is a 10% more chance for a bottle neck.
My rule of thumb is always to go a bit over with the PSU because if your PSU dies, then it can take your entire PC with it. (It happened to me once, and it was painful!!!) Having said that, I think the minimum for 4070 RTX is 750W, but I would go with 900, perhaps just to be sure. It's not a must.
As for RAM. Go for 64. They are not that expansive and also DDR5 are incredible. I have the Vengence as well :).

Base Gala: A Conversation With The Artists
On the 3rd of August, OKWC held their first edition of the Base Gala, an art gallery and music event, this is one of the events they have organized to push music arts and culture. In this conversation, we talked to all the artists who were a part of this event about their beginnings as artists, their work and much more.
SAIGOTHEEDITOR
Tumblr media
You’ve been documenting/photographing many artists in the newer generation, how important is this to you?
Its important that the world knows whats going on in Botswana the youts are on a very beautiful but tough journey in all their different fields and i feel like its my duty to document the journey.
When was the first time someone reached out for you to work with them?
2021, my boy Setso owns a clothing brand called Groovy and he is actually the first person to give me a cheque for my photography, its something iam forever going to be grateful for.
Which music video is the first one you’ve shot, and how was the experience of shooting it?
I would say the first music video i did was the "De Beers" music video for Ascension Plea's. I directed and shot it alongside Dreamhills studios and the experience was really dope. We started production at 6am and shot everything in one take,it took us 3 tries to nail but in the end i guess it was worth it, shout out to the boys.
Who is your favourite photographer?
My top 2 rn are Septembrrline and HMD
What do you use to shoot your work, and what do you prefer to use more?
For pictures, i like shooting with the Canon 4000D then for videos i prefer the Sony A7iii, but I am a strong believer that it isn't really about the equipment.
How did you get into photography?
Growing up i loved movies, taking pictures and documenting stuff. Mixed that with my love for music, i just knew that my path is here. But starting off i was an artist in junior school (i was a bad rapper ngl) but i wanted my pictures and videos done in a certain way because i realised that the type of vibe that was in Botswana at the time didnt really match up with what i wanted, so i decided to start taking pictures for myself, so in me falling deep into watching music videos getting exposed to indie artists and photographers, it sparked the love i had for photography as a kid and here we are now.
DJGETSYOUWETTER
Tumblr media
’djgetsyouwetter’’ how did you come up with your dj name?
Partynextdoor said “she just changed her twitter to party gets me wetter” and I ran with it by making it my finsta name, ‘kgaliegetsyouwetter.’ By the time I started being a DJ, I guess you could say the “getsyouwetter” became a brand, my alter ego.
What got you into djing and how did you learn?
Always used to get on aux around my friends and We’d joke about me becoming a dj. Then I met a group of friends that pushed me to stop joking and do it. In terms of learning, I’m yet to learn so many things. Right now? I just play music I enjoy.
Are you strictly into djing or do you also produce your own music?
We will have to wait and see.
Which genres do you usually play in your sets?
Amapiano, at the moment.
Describe how you felt during your first-ever set as a DJ?
I don’t know if I can describe it. I cried, on stage and after the performance. If emotional is the word, then it was very that. But the best word would be grateful, for all the love and support from my friends, from people i barely know. Nothing beats love and the energy that emanates from it. Felt loved, it was beautiful.
Who are your favourite producers or DJs?
As far as Amapiano is concerned, Dbn Gogo and Kmat are really up there for me. As women, as producers and DJs. Honourable mentions to Kelvin Momo, Stixx and so many more.
JACK BUDDAH
Tumblr media
Have you always known that you wanted to be an artist or is it something you discovered later on?
I’ve always known it, both consciously (in the later stages of my life) and subconsciously (in my earlier years). It’s the only thing that’s ever made me feel alive, well that and sex.
What inspired you to explore multiple artistic disciplines instead of focusing on just one or do you see that as a natural ability?
It’s really not by choice, I just do what my soul resonates with. It just so happens to resonate with a large number of disciplines and if I realize I’m just naturally good at them then hey? Why not.
Are there any particular artists or movements that have influenced your work?
Atlasaaone Molemogi. ATI’s chaos is beautiful, it pushes me to be limitless and be as creative as possible in so many ways man. EMANCIPATE YOURSELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY is a mantra I live by and will live by till the day I die. Fela Kuti’s artistic approach has also influenced the outspokenness of my work, im a fighter, the descendant of a tribe of Mau Mau warriors, Ashe!
Who is your fashion icon?
Dennis Rodman, the first time I painted my nails I was cosplaying as him for Halloween. I think studying him is the reason why the manner in which I dress seems very outlandish, very ME. I want to be as expressive as possible and no one will stand between me and my true self, Ashe. I think the way I dress is heavily influenced by almost everything I see on a daily basis, The unintentional proportions and natural wear and tear of the overalls on a construction worker, some boots or some that looked good on a stranger passing by. Fashion is beyond the labels and all that, you have to know life before you know fashion. Because what can you express that you don’t know, you know?
You recently did some styling work for thrifty bw at the comfy fashion week, how was the experience and how did that come about?
I was actually called by a stylist by the name of Eileen to assist with styling. I wasn’t exactly sure about how much I was to do but I did way more than I had anticipated, gladly. And I didn’t do bad for my first ever styling gig, also considering I didn’t have too many things to work with and wasn’t aware of what kind of clothing we were to deal with. Shoutout to Eileen because I wouldn’t have been there and met the people I met if it wasn’t for her. But other than that the general experience was amazing, got to interact with fellow models and overall I had fun and that’s that matters. Worked on a video shoot with Ciggaretes and Cocaine right after the show, got close to zero rest, do check the video on his Instagram by the way!!!
A few months ago you introduced us to 7MAG, what do you hope to achieve with it?
It’s more of a concept than an organization or platform. I just want the right people to meet in the right places and make what they’re meant to make. It’s all about the people, I yearn to unite the creative community this side in every way I can and 7MAG is just one of many projects in the works, that’s all I can say for now. Ashe!!!
ST MANTO
Tumblr media
What got you into djing and how did you learn?
I started DJing at 9 years old, growing up I always enjoyed watching my Dad DJing and he noticed that I had interest in learning so he taught me and he continues to teach me even after 14 years of being a DJ, I still learn a lot from him, from Vinyl to CDJs, one never stops learning
Which genres do you usually play in your sets?
Amapiano, Afro House(including 3-step) and House music.
Describe how you felt during your first ever set?
I was anxious and uncertain as to how the crowd would respond to Electronic Dance Music, which was what I used to love playing at the time, to my surprise it was well received, despite that I was shaking the entire time.
Who are your favourite producers or djs?
Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, Above and Beyond, MÖRDA, Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo, MDU aka TRP and Muzi.
Do you play your own remixes during sets or its mostly transition between tracks?
I do play my own production in every single set without fail as well as incorporating other artists tracks, could be a locked tune(unreleased) or released but I mostly prefer playing my unreleased production as well as other artists unreleased production.
PRINCE MARGUSON
Tumblr media
Most of your drawings are anime , why is that?
Because I love anime, there's literally no limit or principles to what you can draw. A lot of other art forms hold you back a little, you have to stick to what's real, but with anime/manga whatever your mind can conjure up is real. Also, I'm currently in the process of creating a manga so I'm trying to sharpen my skills.
How did you get into photography and drawing?
I started taking pictures with my phone and putting them on Instagram and tiktok. I had some pretty decent feedback from my audience and since this was something that I loved, I pretty much started honing the skill and nurturing it. I've been a really big fan of anime from a very age. DragonBall Z was one of the first animes I was introduced to. I used to love drawing the characters on the show, eventually i started drawing my own original characters inspired by the anime. I believe that's how I got into drawing.
When was the first time someone reached out for you to work with them?
The first time I was reached out to was when BACKYARD STORIES asked me to shoot for them alongside a couple other great photographers. I was pretty nervous.
Is this your first exhibition?
Yes, this is my first exhibition
Did you specifically create an artwork for this exhibition or are you exhibiting works you've already done?
I did create a specific set of art works I call "every nigga is a star"
Who are your favourite photographers?
Saigo the editor. Gotta be inspired by your peers!
DIGGY
Tumblr media
When did you start writing poetry and drawing?
In my teens
What topics do you usually focus on when writing in your poetry?
Love
Is this your first exhibition?
Yes
Would you say its difficult to recite your poems or you don't have a hard time trying to translate the emotions that come with your poems?
Sometimes it’s difficult, sometimes it’s not
did you specifically create an artwork for this exhibition or are you exhibiting works you've already done?
Both
Who are your favourite painters?
