I've been trying to fix my car for like months and haven't had time to actually do it. I am GOING to do it I'm FUCKING fixing my car TODAY or I will kill myself and the car trying. Wish me luck
#me#its just calipers + new brake pads + a brake bleed#ive only ever replaced my battery before ive never done like. hands on mechanic work#but ive done lots of research. esp into common mistakes & issues with brake jobs#and im confident i know what to do and what to look out for#im pretty sure theres only a few ways this could go wrong:#1. forgetting the brake bleed. which isnt possible as its an important step for the calipers#2. putting the brake pads in backwards lmao#3. not tightening bolts enough or too much (i only have normal wrenches so i cant measure foot lbs lr anything)#4. getting moisture in the brake fluid (sunny today so it should be ok)#or 5. the parts i bought dont fit#and i dont really see any of that happening except maybe no 5 bc i did just buy parts from autozone#but lots of people WAY stupider than me work on their cars all the time. ive met them#plus if i can handle medical/anatomical studies i can do mechanics. its just like anatomy but for cars.
